I have a reading journal. I made it be just efficient. Not pretty. Journaling doesn't have to be aesthetic. Nothing in life has to aesthetic. It just has to be functional. Making it look good is just a bonus. Not the bare minimum.
I use stickers a lot!! Makes it super easy to make it cute without requiring artistic abilities lol
quick and random reminder that God loves you. no matter who you are, or what you believe about yourself, you're still His child and He wants you to turn your heart to Him and give Him your all
I thought the same, but then I started a reading journal 4 month ago anyway and I love it! I googled some pictures of reading journals for "inspiration", but mostly I just copied the things I really liked and thought I might be able to do as well. Also, just using a bunch of colorful pencils makes it look so good😂.
BIBLIO😂 That one made me audibly laugh. Also seeing you go through the Caraval series makes me want to read it!! Love your videos and seeing your reading journey!

i have bought 32 books in the last 2 weeks because i have watched these videos and just been so inspired to read. i am so excited to read them when they get here in the mail! thank you Haley for being my motivation to get back into reading i didn’t realise how much i missed it ❤️❤️

The Hobbit is technically for children! Which is why it was written much like a story being TOLD to you. Very enjoyable and fun to read! Glad you loved it

i highly recommend 'legendborn', its a ya fantasy duology with romance subplot (no spice) and the second one comes out in 8th of november. its about this girl whos mum just died and she moves away to college and see ends up seeing monstersss. so many plot twists, amazing writing, great characters, touches on some rlly important topics and theres a love triangle! highly highly recommend i was so pleasantly surprised

The way Tolken made the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings is wonderful the amount of research and effort makes it worth the while to read

I consume Cassandra’s work I am in the second series by her the last hours I am reading the books in the chronological timeline of the events not the publication it made more sense to me 😂❤️
I’m so obsessed with book content recently I got back into reading in June and now I love watching this content cause it motivates me to read more 👌🏻 and also gives me lots of book recommendations !
I’ve fallen in love back again with the booktuber community and fallen in love with reading again. I was in a 9 year reading slump with this year and last year only reading audiobooks. I’m hoping that in 2023 I’ll be fully back into the physical copy game

I used to work in a library and a tip to not crack your spine is flip through the pages a bunch before you read it. Like slide your finger across the pages so the fan out and go front to back and back to front

In french speaking countries, the "mini" books are the normal sized books and the ones you're usually reading are MASSIVE books. It's interesting to see how book culture is different in english speaking parts of the world! I love your videos even tho we have such different tastes in books, it feels cozy watching you read!
Haven't watched this video yet but I know it will be great. I am really considering starting a reading journal. Also Im re-reading Clockwork Angel and annotating it so yeah. Hopefully I'll get more of the other books !!!

haley!! while you’re in your fantasy era, i highly recommend the mara dyer series by michelle hodkin. very similar vibes to shatter me with the romance and powers but without the dystopia. just finished the first book and instant 5 stars i adored it!! online it says it’s a paranormal romance but it’s not even rlly like that, not scary at all and i get scared by coraline LMAO so don’t let it stop you xx

I'm loving these vlogs!! LOTR is one of my absolute favorite reads HOWEVER the Hobbit was intended to be a kids story so it's much easier to read than LOTR. But if you take your time with it, I think you'll really love it. It's nothing like you'll ever read!!! 💖💜
Your love of reading is contagious, it has got me back to reading and I stepped out of my comfort zone and just read a mystery in 3 days “Death at High Tide: An Island Sisters Mystery” by Hannah Dennison. I enjoyed it! Got it from my library. Thank you for inspiring me

I usually love cracking the spine too but hate how it looks on my shelf, but I recently learned that you can make it more flexible by sitting it up on the spine and pull down a small portion of pages, alternating front and back until you get to the center and it should be flexible but not visibly cracked!

It took me forever to finally sit down and finish this video but it’s so cute! I’ve been wanting to read Cassandra Clair books since last year! And the hobbit is freaking amazing I grew up on the movies but I definitely want to start the books now that I love reading! 😌

The lord of the rings book series is really good, I would definitely recommend if you liked the movies. If your not used to fighting scenes those parts may drag out a little but still loved 💕💕
