Once Upon a Broken Heart series is probably my favorite series/books ever so far. I just got back into reading last year, so I haven’t had the chance to experience many other series yet, but these are at my top for now, I love them so much and can’t wait for the 3rd 💛 There’s no cursing, no sex, and little violence… it was quite a breath of fresh air.

Do you have to read the caravel series to understand it ?
@@Diana-sy2dy I say no - I think even Stephanie Garber (the author) stated the same thing. :) The only "warning" is that OUABH actually spoils one or two big things in the Caraval series if you decide to read them after, like me lol.
I didnt know it was a trilogy when I read the ballad of never after and I was SHATTERED at the end lol I never read caraval but i never felt like I was lost. They read well on their own. I cant wait for the third one 💖
well originally it was only supposed to be a duology but then the author decided to write a third
I'm currently reading Carrie Soto is back and I love it. I'm on page 260 and can't wait to finish it. I really appreciate you talking about the representation of Hispanic people as Taylor Jenkins Reid is a white author. I feel like your perspective is great and i love that at 14:19 you mentioned that you can't speak on it as you are not part of that community mad respect, love you
A book that I think you should read is Inkheart. It's a children's book, but you would never guess it. It's beautifully written and a page turned. Just finished reading it as an adult.
definetly! need to reread it. its a german book and I'm german so I can even enjoy it in the original language hehe
You reminded me of a children's book I loved! The Bird, The Boy, and The Coffin Maker. I think it's technically for middle-schoolers but I absolutely adore it and the artwork!

@@kristylhamlyn958 there's probably another way but i go to the little icon in the right corner (my account) and click “friends” from the drop down menu. somewhere on the page there's a little search bar that says “search by name or email” and from there just type in her name and hit enter. lmk if it works!

since you posted the video of u first waking up at 5am to read, i have done the same everyday and it has been such a game changer for my day. i spend that extra hour and a half that i wouldn’t normally be awake for to just read, do my devotions, and slowly start my day in prayer. THANK YOU FOR INSPIRING THIS NEW HEALTHY HABIT HALEY!!
I love how relatable this reading experience is for "new adult" readers. I find myself constantly chasing the high of devouring so many books in one swoop that I had in my early teens, and that's just not feasible with college, career, and adult life. I am so busy all the time, and reading is so hard to get into. It can be an expensive hobby, and I also struggle with the desire to reread my favorite books all the time and read as many new books as possible. It's a never-ending cycle. Thank you for making vlogs like these. You give me the inspiration to read again and make me feel better when I can't.
Hearing Haley talk about books with such passion is so nice bc it inspires me to go buy and read all the books on my tbr, and have a reading journal and just read more bc it is so much fun.

A book series you should definitely read is “Running on Love and Donuts”. The first book is called Rebel With A Donut. It’s a YA Romance about five high school seniors spending the summer with their senior grandmas and their summer goal is to all break a habit they have. Theres three books and I just started book three today - they’re so good!!

i read the couple next door by shari lapena last july and i really liked it! it was one of the fast-pace books i’ve ever read. definitely recommend!
I just want to say thank you. Because you helped me fall back in love with reading.
. I used to love reading up until uni. I’d read YA, thriller, historical fiction, all sorts of stuff. I’d read ALL THE TIME. During breaks, on the bus ride to and from school, at night. And then we kinda had a falling out. I’m now almost 28 and after 9 years, I’m kinda falling back in love. I mean I only read 2 books last year and they’re both audiobooks. But that’s ok. And I’ve already read 1 and a half books already in 2023.
They’re all non-fiction so far, BUT that’s OK. With your videos I remembered that I can read for my enjoyment. Ever since uni I felt that I wasn’t academic or cultural enough, so why even bother? But seeing you read for your own enjoyment, as a hobby, really helped. Thank you. And even though you talk about number of pages read etc., your joy and honesty about how you feel, how you sometimes sorta ‘fail’ or extend challenges is also very helpful to me. It reminds me to focus on the journey.
