    Hi man , what fuse use for this amplifier? I use mini of 100 and explosion

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  Год назад +1

      Generally you fuse to your wiring type (CCA or OFC), gauge, and run length; not necessarily to the amplifier. OFC wiring can handle more current than CCA wiring. This amp needs 4 gauge wiring (we recommend OFC), and needs about 100 amps of supplied power. If you blew a fuse, either your run is too long, bad wiring, or you have a short somewhere.

    Thank you for this video! This is perfect timing! I have a Crux SOOGM-16 that I've used with a Sony receiver for the last two years, and no amp. However, I'm now adding an aftermarket 4-channel amp, and I wanted to use the existing speaker wires in my truck and harness, so I was about to attempt what you did - cut the output audio wires from the Crux and connect those directly to my amp. The front R/L +/- wires go directly to the GM harnesses (X1 and X2), and so does the rear R/L positive wire. However, I see Crux wired the rear R/L negative wires sort of crazy:
    Aftermarket radio -> Crux 16 pin connector (manual has a typo and refers to it as 24 pin) AND to rear R/L negative wires on GM harness AND to Crux 8 pin connector audio output. I assume this is to pipe in the OnStar audio (which I'm not interested in keeping.) Obviously, I will cut the aftermarket wires since I will be using the pre-amp RCAs instead.
    My question is, did you cut those two rear negative wires anywhere else, or just right after the 8 pin audio output connector? I'm not sure if I should cut the connection to the "input" side of the Crux on the 16 pin connector portion, etc. From your video, I can see you cut at least 16 wires: 8 from receiver to Crux, and 8 from the Crux output to the speaker connects on the GM harnesses. I can't tell the rest since it's covered in tape. Thank you!

    • @ProvoBeastAudio
      @ProvoBeastAudio  Год назад +1

      Hey there, where we cut is directly connected to the harness which leads to each speaker with nothing in between. So any signal correction / onstar is bypassed as we are sending our complete signal from the amp right into the factory harness.
