    The national drink of Sri Lanka is toddy, known as "raa (රා)" in Sinhala, which is a milder alcoholic drink made from the sap from coconut trees. Toddy is usually found in villages.
    Toddy becomes arrack after distillation.
    Arrack is definitely the most popular alcoholic beverage in Sri Lanka.
    Internet says different things (like toddy, arrack, tea, etc) are the national drink of Sri Lanka, so I understand the confusion 😊

    Arrack is made from ageing of coconut toddy(sap of coconut flower).

    We call it Arack as well in our Monpa dialect, a tribe in Arunachal Pradesh.

      @@LifetimeTravelmatesactually the bottle you showed is not coconut arrack mostly sugar Caine and ethanol spirit.
      There are coconut arracks like Vat9 but i personally prefer this one 😂

    This is not a coconut Arrack this is made with a sugar cane stuff but there is lot of coconut Alcohol
