  • We seem to be having a never ending stream of trailers with faulty ECU's at the moment, and today was no different. We had a trailer that had previously been diagnosed by someone else as needing the ECU replacing. We had to double check it had been diagnosed correctly and then crack on with replacing and reprogramming the Haldex Modulator Valve ECU. High voltage is a very common fault on these ECU's as water gets in them and starts playing up with the sensors.

Always interesting to see how my trailer works. Crap way that the ECU is installed. Should be placed where they are easy to get to and protected from the elements. But as per normal designers do not have to lay down in the cold and crap to fix them.. Great vids.

It was indeed! Thank you and I will. I have an update video coming soon for the fuel tank fiasco but it's not what you might think. I hope people are ready.

I agree, I do enjoy doing them when there is plenty of access. I don’t know if you have done one on a double decker before but they are definitely not fun to do while on your back 😂

@TheSelfEmployedSpannerMonkey no mate, never done one on a double decker glad for it by sounds of it lol. We just run single deck fridges. I know you're not meant to, but the air bag pipe, I usually kink it, then put a cable tie round. I'm not on the slim side anymore so I need all the room I can get 😆.

@@jamesherrick4927 to be honest, looking back at the footage and how much weight was in it, I should have lowered it manually before starting the job. But hey we do things in the moment and hindsight is always a bitch 😂

Diagnosed and replaced in 2-3 hours. Depends how much experience you have though. When I first started took me 4 hours at least 🤦‍♂️😂
