What are some of the things you like to use raspberry jam with? Did you have a chance to can raspberry jam this year?

Hi, thank you for that video. It was pretty awesome. My question is I hear that when you are counting you’re supposed to hear a pop not sure if it’s in the water or after you take them out. Not sure that make sure it’s sealed correctly or is that pop necessary? Again, thanks for that awesome video. I’m ready to go and sell last question. How much does one charge for a jar of jam that size I think those are 4 ounce or 8 ounce?

Glad you enjoyed the video! The pop usually happens after they come out of the water. Sometimes I hear them, sometimes I don't. After allowing the jars to set overnight undisturbed, check them to see if the button is down. If you press on the lid and the button pops up and down, it is not sealed and will need to be used or reprocessed right away. Store jars with the rings off.
As for selling, I am really not sure how much would be charged or what the regulations are around doing that. That is not something that I currently do. You could probably check out a local farmer's market. The vendors may be able to give you some helpful insight on regulations and pricing for your area.

Do you ever make using honey instead of sugar?

We have made strawberry jam with honey before. I felt like the color was not as crisp and it did not set up quite as well. It was still good, just a bit different. It could be that I just haven't found and perfected the right recipe. Have you used honey to make strawberry jam?

@@BloomingWildwoodHomestead not yet. I'm aiming for BlackBerry jelly. Blackberries are abundant for me.
