Yea but how much did you actually spend to get that power? I have same car and wanted to do some stuff but don’t know if I should keep it or just upgrade to something faster
Yes and no. While it worked with the proper dwell times it was nice. 10 months into owning them they started to fail. So $474 paperweights after a year. So I say no.
This was actually 23psi in May 2022. Car runs 24-25 psi to 7000 these days. Car makes a bit more power too. No ring issues. 150k miles and the compression test came back 200-200-200-200 last week.

All the mods at the time of this dyno are in the video description. Grab an FTP/Evolution Raceworks/Turner motorsport/ Turbo to Intercooler boost pipe. Turbosmart Kompact Diverter valve as well. I would advise retrofitting the b58tu pump before upgrading the turbo otherwise you have everything for the various stage 2 turbos on the market (TTE400 [best bolt on turbo upgrade at the moment, Mambatek extreme - make a little more power than the pure and costs less, Pure Stage 2 - last "stage 2 turbo" option as of 12/12/22).
@@f22silver not for the b58tu HPFP. Uses the stock settings perfectly fine. Only need injectors after the HPFP and you are running an ethanol mix/full ethanol tune
Yes it is however torque is the killer for N20’s not power they have the same internals as the N55 so whp can hit 400 just fine but torque should not exceed 370 ft-lbs there is currently no turbo available to get the N20 to 400 as far as I know the engine is solid.
Would 330-350whp/wtq be good to daily the car? I’m looking to build a n20/26 and idk how much the block/internals can handle. Almost 400whp on stock internals seems like a stretch but idk tbh, if these motors are that stout I might definitely look into one Rather than a n54/55 just for cost reasons
Sure. As long as wheel torque is kept under 380 or so and boost is under 26-27 psi you can make 400+ easily. A custom efr 6258 will make around 420-430whp and 370 wheel torque on ethanol mixes or efr 6758 will make 450-470whp with 360-370 wheel torque on e30 mix. Just need a custom manifold + associated bits and it’s possible !
@@Sqwin_n20 so the block can handle stupid horsepower as long as I’m under 380wtq, that’s pretty decent 330 would be a safe point I’d keep it at and even then that’s decent for a 4cyl on a stock block, my stock motor ms3 with a s1 turbo makes 350whp and close torque and that’s honestly all I’d want I just love the n26 Motor if I want big power easy I’d get a n55 but where I am the n20’s are 2-4K cheaper lol ughhh idk decisions decisions 😂😂😭.
