2 things, that is definitely a 328i, not a 320i/320d. And the car doesnt actually get any faster in a straight line regardless if you're in comfort or sport. The BMW even got a better start than the Gti and it has an 8 speed zf auto in comparison with the Gti's 6 speed manual.
@@PapiAndrey im from Holland and yesterday at stoplight sprint i kept up with a golf 7 gti 220 hp with my f30 320i so wtf yourbtalking bout? 328i would delete a golf 7 gti
@@blackmagician0078 😂 really? Show me then. Your slow 320i barely traps 90mph in the quarter 😂 an economy car jetta 1.8t with 170hp traps higher than that. Can you even lose traction? You don’t even have enough power to spin the tires, go get yourself a jb4 or a tune if you want to have enough power to talk.
320i/328i aren’t fast to begin with considering the weight and all the weak point of the engine, most people from what I’ve seen say not to push power levels above mid 300s, and most of the time with pushing the turbo over 20 psi you’d only make around 310-320ish and to make 350ish you’d need e85 and a meth injection kit, the (n20/n26)motor 4 cylinder bmw engines aren’t really all that stronger when compared to there six cylinder engines which are beyond amazing, while a Mk7 gti (ea888) 4 cylinder engine can safely handle around 450whp/420wtq, consider the weight the gti has a much greater advantage but when it comes to handling and acceleration the bmw has the advantage due to it being Rwd, even better if it’s xdrive(Awd). In the end the 320i/328i cant really compare and compete with the mk7 gti, but when it comes to the 335i/340i bmw takes it most of the time depending on the tune and modification of course, a fully decked out 335i vs mk7 the 355i takes the win, stage 2 is either one depending on conditions and tunes and other factors.
As an owner of a 328xi I can say these cars are fast and when tuned and upgraded to FBO can not only run with GTI's but faster cars such as scat packs and 340i's. The car is also very reliable considering I'm FBO and I still haven't had a single issue with over 115k miles. Don't be fooled by the 320 and 328.
You are correct I’m FBO and make 280whp on my 320 however the N20/N26 can absolutely make well over 400-500 horsepower if you forge the internals it’s been done and I’m actual already on my way to do it but the N20 is still a weak motor
@@drivepov2585 I’m at 107k with FBO my 320 has never ever skipped a beat it’s been on tracks, drag strips and 600 mile road trips every two weeks I will stand by the N20/N26 forever

I’m sorry but that’s funny. As a former MK7 owner, you’re very wrong. Best I could find a JB4 tuned 328i trapping was 105mph lmao most were about 100. Stock MK7 can trap 100. With just a tune GTi puts up 110 trap speeds...
i’ve raced my friends dsg gti mk7 against my f30 and i gapped him with a three car length.
