I often go to my local RAF base and film all the activity for my own interest, and I've never been told to stop, even when the USAF new Osprey V2 helicopter was visiting. Those coppers and many like them just like to pick on easy targets.

If you are going to detain people under Section 43, you should at least have some basic knowledge about. I'm surprised also how many officers fail to identify themselves when asked. The officer with the cam obviously unscrewed the lens to make the picture out of focus before the footage was taken knowing it would ruin the picture in case it’s used in court against them. How do you get body cam footage from police because when I requested via data subject access they dragged it over the 30days and it was subsequently deleted. Any advice?

Under the office of constable all officers are supposed to police with discretion and are all personally responsible for their own actions so him putting you in cuffs was totally down to him whether or not he was the officer that detained you. He should’ve therefore identified himself.
