"Low seat height?" I'm about 5'10" and in my street boots I'm on my tippy toes. That's why they sell Yamalink this bike is taller than the 350 KTM trust me I've been on both.
The "Low Seat" remark floored me as well. This is far from an accurate statement. I'm 6'3" and occasionally get caught not being able to get a foot down in the technical stuff. I love the WRR. It is an awesome GENERAL PURPOSE bike.
Low seat height? You got too be kidding. It's only the tallest bike in it's class. This bike is definitely not for short riders. I own 1. I'm 5'10". And the bike is just barely doable at my height. I only put one foot down at lights because I can't be flat footed with both feet. If I use both feet I have to be tippy toed too touch the ground.
Great review. Heard lots of good about this bike. The seat is about 36.5 inches.....so unless you've got a long inseam....yikes. However....all bikes are the "same height" when you straddle them. Just a bit tougher to get a foot down in the bush. Lots can be done to lower these though.
this is a tall bike. I speak from experience, I bought a wr brand new in 2008 and I had to lower it a bit even though I'm 5'10. and if your female the best choice for a dual sport bike is a yamaha xt 225. Why the xt, because of the low seat height and the relatively low weight.
Low and comfortable seat? I am 6'5" (193cm) and I wear Levis 34" length (not sure if it = inseam because my jeans are not reaching ground) and I can comfortably flatfoot it with both legs all day long but suspension sags quite a bit when I sit, and getting on it is not exactly easy. If I was 185cm tall or under, I am pretty sure no double flatfooting would not be an option. Also, the stock seat is ridiculously uncomfortable. It is like sitting on the narrow side of a plank of wood. After 60km on street, it is painful - and I don't mean "somewhat" I mean "very". Seat replacement is a must if you do want to do any distance over 15km while seated. The reviewer is talking nonsense, possibly confusing the bikes or doing the review before riding (and being blind not seeing the seat height when standing in front of it).
Compared to other bikes in its class it is I believe the Honda crf250 is the heaviest weighing a little over 300lbs. But for the class it ranges about 270 to 310
you cant compare a KTM 350 with a street legal, low maintance WR 250 R. Totally different bikes and places where it aims, the WR 250 R is a allround enduro for street and easy dirt, the EXC 350 is a Sport/Hard-Enduro for hard offroad and high maintance, also not that suitable for street.
Hands down the best 250 dual sport. It can hang with hard enduro bikes with the right rider. Add a 52 tooth rear sprocket and a good set of enduro tires and it is the best trail turd out there short of a pure enduro bike. Great value for what it is.
Same thing happened to mine. You have to replace the ignition part that the key goes into. You will get new key with part. Had mine in shop for a year at two different places to figure out. Costs about $600. To fix
I heard the xr650L can cruise at 70 mph easy what about the power?? on the 2 ?? I am not looking to go on highway just max 65 mph on road and go off road
Lol I seen you ask someone else this question. Can't you just go too the yamaha website??? Any way in Canada they are like 7000$ brand new, before tax.
Great bike but if you have a tumble the price of the plastics will make you sit up, just bought a headlamp for my wr250f £140 and thats without the plastic surround, rad cowl £150 each that's for the 2016 model £250 for the 2015 model this is the reason I'm selling mine and getting a ktm350 headlamp £48 set of rad cowls £45 for both sides, cannot believe Yamaha put such expensive plastics on a off road bike
"wide soft seat" lmao it's not. It's narrow so it hurts on longer dual sport ride. The slope forward is too steep it pulls the underwear up. And it's about as hard as sitting on the gas tank.
It's like they didn't even ride the bike at all... Torquey engine? Uhh, not really. Rev the piss out of it to find the power lol. Low seat height? Highest in its class for a 250 dual sport. Jeez, how about actually reviewing the bike, not just trying to sell sell sell them to everyone.
"Low seat height?"

Ima measure my NX250 after I put the SV 650 rear shock on in the second highest preload setting. It feels about right for me now.

Low seat height? Maybe when compared to a combine.
lmfao. I too was puzzled by this statement.
Low seat height?

You're short and dumb, plus might be gay. Not a very good combo

Needs yellow retro yammer hammer plastics.

Please where can I get wr259r parts my side bearing is making noise
That was a cool video liked it a lot, keep them coming
I'm just a beginner. One of the guys in the video says the bike is "probably on the heavy side." I checked and it's 295 lbs. Is that heavy?
Compared to other bikes in its class it is I believe the Honda crf250 is the heaviest weighing a little over 300lbs. But for the class it ranges about 270 to 310
Yodaismycopilot A KTM 350 exc-f is 236 pounds but about 3000.00 more. They look great but don't know about the money difference.

It's not heavy at all.
The 2015 WR250r has steel valves, not titanium. Correction needed.
2015 looks sick, i love my 2010
What's the difference between a wr250r 2007 to a 2008
can you make a review for wr 125r please?????????
is a 250 engine big enough for the trails and highway commutes? I am 220lbs.
Kevin yeah
Kevin good for Crusin 60-65 or so
Yes, it just gets it’s power at a little higher rpm. I’m 250 and love mine.

Hello, I need help, I have a WR250R 2014 bike in the morning i turn on for warmer up but after 15 minutes turn off, is this normal? Please let know
Same thing happened to mine. You have to replace the ignition part that the key goes into. You will get new key with part. Had mine in shop for a year at two different places to figure out. Costs about $600. To fix
Same thing exactly happened shut off after 15min warmed up
I’m 6’0” and this bike is tall for me. No way it’s got a low seat. 37” seat height is really tall.
can you test the 2015 honda xr 650 L and compare to the wr250r thanks
I've Ridden both bro, Wr250r runs way better the 650 rattles and shakes a lot
I heard the xr650L can cruise at 70 mph easy
what about the power?? on the 2 ?? I am not looking to go on highway just max 65 mph on road and go off road
I am 5,5 and looking to get a dirtbike. Would this fit me? I have never owned a dirtbike. Thanks
this bike is the highest sitting bike there is its meant for people over 5,10 I'm 6'2 and it fits perfect but for you it might be a little tall
+Tyler Rhine Thanks for that I was wondering what bike I should get. Would I fit a Honda 230
Oscar Willems no sir
Oscar Willems this is prbably late but this would fit you just fine. It eill seem tall but just spend time getting used to it
TW200, I want to get one because they are geared so low and sit around 32" off the ground & its the least expensive but I hear the most fun.
Why not do a 2015wr250f
Fts
"The Yemaha" :D
I don't agree with the soft seat statement mine is as hard as a rock
Can these bikes take a bigger fuel tank ?
I think there are 18.5ltr options avail.
These 250R models are used heavily and modded for adventure riding.
Krimreeper thanks
Low seat height? you got to be joking rite!??
But how much are they though?
Lol
I seen you ask someone else this question.
Can't you just go too the yamaha website???

Hp ?? Please
Pretty sure that's a 2014 model given the plastics and decals. Everything else is the same, so all the same either way
Yeah this bike by no means has a low seat height my yz450 isn't as tall as my wr250r
"wide soft seat" lmao it's not. It's narrow so it hurts on longer dual sport ride. The slope forward is too steep it pulls the underwear up. And it's about as hard as sitting on the gas tank.
If your girl isn't tall enough she definitely isn't going too be able too ride this bike comfortably, if at all.
il race you on my crf250L
The CRF is a real good alternative for this bike, had one for 2 years

What I imagine these guys look like.
Lol really, low seat no way this bike is tall
