- Riding my WR250R from the Willow Creek trailhead at the Danskin OHV area off of Black's Creek road east of Boise. Trails 410, 412, and 424 offered up narrow single-track, several steep climbs, and epic views north over the South fork of the Boise River.
This is an excellent video. It shows the upper limits of the wr250r off road. The gentleman in this video puts on a riding Clinic. Pay attention to the moderate clutch usage on climbs. The way he dropped the bike at low speed was also textbook. This is what riding up in the high mountains does for you. I thought I knew how to ride until I moved to Colorado. The riding up here goes from Mild to Wild. It has it has helped me on the street and on the dirt. I just wish the seasons were longer. This video was most entertaining.
So fun watching videos like these through a first person perspective.
I started riding up there in 1986 and I think the last time was 2005. There was never enough. Beautiful place!
One of the coolest trail riding videos I've seen, awesome trail and beautiful country!!! Just chillin and chuggin through the hills. Make more.
Great video! This is now my favorite video of the ones I've seen of the WR250R. Fantastic trails, great scenery, and some very good riding! Those were some steep hills! In the mis-spent days of my youth I loved climbing hills in Western PA. Curious what gearing you're using if it's not stock. Also, for ppl who say the WR doesn't have enough torque - I'll just point them to this video. That wasn't hp chugging you up those steep inclines at low rpm - torque all the way! I'm now even more impressed by the capabilities of the WR. (also very happy that I just bought one and getting it in the next week or so - at age 57!)
Was wondering how well the WR could do off road and this answered that question! Very nice!
Excellent video! only rocky if you think about...yah right. I had butterflies just looking over that edge, and that's while sitting on my couch.
NICE TO HEAR THE MOTOR INSTEAD OF MUSIC. GREAT VIDEO THANKS.
Another great showcase of the WR250R's versatility. I'm biased though as I've been riding the same type of trails here in WA on mine. Looks like I need to head over to ID for a week of vacation :). Nice video!
awesome bike and superbs landscapes! thanks to share
Awesome single track. I ride a WR 450 in the Pine Nuts above Carson Valley NV.
awesome video! not one of those times where it looks less intense on the video, those are some fun looking tracks. thanks for helping me decide to get a wrr soon!
Thanks!!! I've been looking hard for a nice used CRF, WRx, or XCF and today I found a WRr and was like "WTF is that?" It looks to be exactly what I want. Fast when I want it. Able to crawl when I want it.
WOW!!! No idea this bike could do that!!! Great riding! Was the bike modded? Thanks
nice! good job on the uphills with the WR250R!
Cowboy country. That looks like a long walkout if breakdown occurs.Love how tranquil that wr250r sounds.
Jeez. Not a lot of room for error on that single-track.
I think the camera is making it seem that way
love idaho, love the bike. Nice riding!
Wow nice riding place and good bike:)
Great ride and majestic landscape!
Thanks boss for a view of your back yard
Great trail👍Great Ride👍Great bike😉
What a great trail! Deeply jealous...
This is some serious suicidal sh... Thanks for the upload!
Great video. Great trail. Thanks for sharing.
NIce riding. What tires are you running
This reminds me of gta 5
Man that looks like a great spot to ride!
That’s the steepest shit I’ve seen that bike on. Sweet. Nice job.
I totally can't wait to ride with you someday before the winter come in xD
Looks like a great place to ride!
What day of the week was this? It looks like you had the whole place to yourself! Good planning and great video.
Nice video and a good sample for WR250R. Torque of your WR250R impressed me. Have you changed the size of front or rear sprocket.
Excellent video !!!
wish we had views and hills like this in WI!!
Joseph Britz Trempealeau county has some nice trails. Every year they have a weekend ride. check out Tremplo County ATV.
How r u doing OK your code 30, since 4 years have passed since than still have the bike?
Nice video. What tire do you prefer for this kind of terrain?
Great video and nice riding!
Awesome riding area! What camera are you using?
How are you able to ride that thing with balls that big?
Are these trails on private property or state forest land accessible on enduro bikes if you have rec reg?
Is this the San Jacinto ca, mountain?
Recently got myself a 04 wr250f ..gr8 shape ..a bit tall but can deal with that ..now for the sheet legal kit ..best of both worlds ..its all 1 really needs ..yeah more powers nice but if you can't do it on a 250 well it's not the bikes fault ..here in Washington ..this is as near to the perfect bike as I've found..kinda toss up have a husky te250 04 late model also ..both very capable n nibble in the woods except husky has no kick start backup stock ..but avail ..so ..ill have to do some comparison vids HUH
Beautiful ride
Awesome Ride!
Great video!
Is the bike stock or modded?
Great vid! Scary!
I would have panic attack on the first hill there an someone would have to helicopter me out off there:)
man you screw up your done wow you just proved the wr250r is a good bike
very cool that takes some balls!!!
Awesome
is this stock gearing
No. I had big problems with stock gearing being too high for climbing steep hills. I'm now using 13/51 gearing.
Why not just make a motocross bike street legal then? Going to a 51 tooth basically makes your WR an mx bike with a lot less power...
LOL. I live in the mountains. (The hills in this video are just the local foothills.) Pavement is 10% or less of my riding on this bike but I can still easily ride 65 MPH at 8000 RPM with 13/51 gearing on this bike. The other 90% of my riding is connecting dirt forest roads, ATV trails, and single-track. I've got a Beta 300 2 stroke for serious trail-only dirt riding (see my other videos if interested.) Seems I'm wrenching on the Beta for some reason after avery other ride. With the WRR is only a few times a year. Also, nobody around here serious about trail riding rides MX bikes in the woods, unless converted with weighted flywheels, softer suspensions, and extended-range gas tanks. MX bikes are for the MX track.
@@rogersmith4223 My WR250R is geared 13/50 but I was thinking of changing the front sprocket to a 14 tooth to give it a little more top end on the roads between trails. As I was watching your climb the hills, I know they are much steeper than the camera makes them look. Everything appears flatter and less scary from a GoPro's lens than in real life. Thanks for sharing. P.S. - I noticed the Race Tech stickers on your front forks. Is it worth upgrading from the stock suspension? Did you upgrade both front and rear suspensions?
BOISE!!!!!!
You just showed what the bike is for. What its not for is motorcross or mountain goat climbing. Good Demo. Lessoned learned. When you stopped and dropped your bike, instead of resting and continuing on, you rest and go back. You found your limit, just turn around and try another day. That's how you get hurt and make a bad decision, continuing on.
14:24 coz i caaan! xD
Я уснул на четвёртой минуте, тоска...
sketchy
get the f model
LOL. What for? These are just some little hills at a local OHV area. I've got a Beta 300cc 2-stroke for more serious trail riding. It's 15% lighter and 20% more HP than a WR250F. Besides, the whole point of this video is having fun riding trails on a dual-sport bike.
Roger Smith tell em ... nice riding . Have a drz400s but also love this bike.
Roger Smith could brag on your self a bit more? And finish with having fun b.s
