- Simply designed and looking like it's missing something, the Firebox Stove Wallet achieves a great mix of capacity, security, simplicity and design elegance. Card capacity is amazing, cash wraps up nicely and is private and there's still room for business cards and receipts.

QOTD: ⚡Who produces an excellent wallet where the wallet is secondary to their main product focus?
Awesome wallet ! I use mine everyday & bought a spare for when it wares out Lol
Great Review! Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for another quality review! The stitching reminds me of autopsies when they close the chest cavity...so I would have to pass on this one. I *DO* like that it handles cash easily though!
Haha, indeed, something Frankenstein would carry 😂
Another great review Mark! Curious if that buffalo leather Orvis I suggested will be making an appearance? I sure hope so!
It's in the queue, but a couple months out right now.
I think this wallet could actually be
a) made to carry international currency,
b) I think the wallet could be made out of an origami style rather than the baseball stitching.
c) more options of finishes
Sure packs a lot in. Simple, effective, rugged. Nice. 👌🏻😀
Yes, it really surprised me.
Can this fit Great Britain Pounds notes
@@walletopiaCan this fit 10 and 20 pound notes ?
That definitely looks unique! I don't think I've seen something like it ever as a design. On the other hand; for some strange reason, I keep imagining it wouldn't look at all out of place on an aboriginal's leather loincloth.
I'm either sleep-deprived or had too much caffeine when I thought that up, 'scuse moi. Great wallet review though, it's certainly something you don't see every day - especially since it's not a company's mainline product, which are portable stoves.
Yes, wallet ideas abound and with the rugged nature of this wallet it does fit their brand image.
Great review. Any plans on reviewing the Johnny Wallet from Loyal Stricklin?
We have their Tony the Ant coming up for review!
walletopia that’s other wallet made by ashland leather not loyal stricklin 😁
Sorry, my mistake. It is the Loyal Stricklin we have coming up and it is the Johnny. Too many wallets in this room..... 😂
Can this fit British Pounds notes
Hello is the long term review of the vaultskin notting hill coming please?
I'm writing the script now. With Corona around I didn't get out much so using the wallet was hard, but my daughter also used it a month or so back so we have some good data.
You must try the
Herschel wallet
I'm looking to buy a leather bifold wallet with a money pocket, but it is also fairly slim. I also want it to be fairly cheap with many features. Anyone have any recommendations?
If you go to Mark’s website, www.walletopia.info/rankings/
you will find all of the reviewed wallets so you can browse them all 😀👍🏻
I know this is an older video but I hope you answer what I have to ask you think it would be a bad thing to trim a little off the flap on this wallet thanks in advance
Not at all, this wallet is pretty easy due to its simple design to customize the way you want.
A love you videos
And i like that wallet.
Nice graphics 👏🏾 😂
Good wallet everything in 1 slots
Please reply me your videos are so cool
so what did you not like about the wallet? how is it holding up today? and will you be doing any lost dutchman or crazy horse craft wallet reviews?
Honestly, there wan’t much I didn’t like, but you do have to expect to load it up with cards, cash or both to keep the available space from making the wallet floppy. Simple design.
@@walletopia what does it bein made in china make any difference honeslty?
I’ve had things made in China and honestly you can get great things made, “Made in China” isn’t bad, but when something turns out poorly it’s really due to the specifications given by the organization doing the manufacturing run, not the factory. So when I see things Made in China, I’ll look for quality and if it’s poor, it’s not the factory, it’s the company making the request.
@@walletopia so would you think this wallet is being made poorly now?
@@walletopia so this wallet is probably fake leather or something now?
The wallet seems big enough to hold an AirPod or maybe even the Pro version!
It does provide capacity!
Disclaimer: Please do not try to put out fire with bare hands.
I bought one of these during the Kickstarter campaign several years ago. Back then, it didn’t have the logo (I actually like the logo), and the thread was a different color. My only complaint is that unless you have the wallet crammed full, the cards move around (obviously they’re much narrower than the pocket), which can be annoying. I wish it had another small pocket on the inside specifically for cards. I know they designed the wallet to be produced from a single piece of leather, but using another small piece for a separate card pocket would make it 5 stars.
Great review! but does it fit Indian rupee?
Yes! It will fit up to the 500 Rupee no problem.
@@walletopia thaks!
yep 500 and 2000 rupee notes are just 66mm tall, the same as american dollars. old 100 rupee notes (72mm tall) will also fit
@@iamthe226 cool, thanks! do you have one?
@@shreyaskarpandey6269 no, but i'm sure
I bought one of these when they first appeared on Kickstarter and the thread used in the autopsy stitching was the same color as the wallet. The creator of this really blew it when he farmed production out to China. That's why they are half priced now, nobody is buying any.
Yes, I didn't really like the thread color, makes it look like a Frankenstein wallet :)
so whats the difference in them made in china then when he first made it? iv asked him on his website and many times on here and still no answer. so are the wallet cheap made or something? if he farmed production to china why is he still selling them on his website? i want to buy one but cant afford to buy knock offs
@@walletopia whats the difference from when they where first made? is it cheap geniuine leather or something?
Nice wallet , for 20$ I think it’s worth it, but for 40$ it’s a bit too much considering the top grain chrome tanned leather ( not a veg. Tan full grain ) and made in china not US
I totally agree! It's priced well where it's at, any more (which I think has already been discovered by customers) it becomes too much.
whats the difference by where its made from serious question?
How does this have a usability score of 3? It's the most insanely usable wallet, maybe, ever! Or is that a result of it being U.S.-cash sized? I suppose if usability is supposed to include Euros and such, I get it.
The score for usability does touch on currency adaptation, but is mostly driven by "does the wallet perform as expected based on its design?". Being this is such a simple wallet, yes it did 😂. Another thing that hurt it a bit besides the currency compatibility is its somewhat sloppy access to its contents.
I own this wallet. Reviewer sent it to me free. Tried it but don’t like it. Big big loose pocket. If you carry 6-8 cards even more room. Less cash more room. Then when you open it at check out you have a big mess of cards shifting around, money falling out! Not good. That’s when it’s $20 now.
Agreed. No way to adjust it so if you carry lots of things, it's great, but you can't reduce your carry and expect it to work well.
@@walletopia any chance you've done a carry test?
Not on this one yet, or many others. With this COVID nonsense I haven't gone out much except for drive thru
@@walletopia In defense of it's functionality, it's "self adjusting" to what you put in it. A few cards and a few bills, it flattens out. Add more and it expands. If you carry pretty much the same amount of items, it will adjust to that and works pretty well. It was my favorite for a long time but for some reason, the decision to have China produce them didn't sit well with me so I don't use it any more. I know, doesn't make much sense since the one I got was produced in the US (as far as I know.) The ugly stitching was my only complaint but at least with the same color thread it wasn't as noticeable. Why they chose a different color thread that highlights the ugliest part of the wallet is beyond me (unless it was a penny cheaper than colored thread.)
@@JimDrews so whats the difference if china makes it or the usa? i want to buy one but not if they arent the same quality no more lol
