Walletopia, I’m sure this wallet is for someone, just not for me. Just my opinion, it seems a bit clunky, and as though it would be a bit difficult to use.

walletopia i own 3 but the only bad thing about it if u use it as your only wallet for few months it will loose the ability to carry less then 5 cards which is a con for example on the weekend i leave most of cards so im not able to carry only 2 cards

I think they did the sliding mechanism this way because it can hold cash. So if you pay in cash you often get change. Not being able to close the wallet with too much cash or being a little more careful when it is very full, I would definitely choose the second option because you can just empty it at home again.

    Funny story,
When you open the box "wallet" I was confused why you were still holding the box in your hand, I didn't realized the box is the wallet 😂😂😂😂
    Awesome review. 👌🏼

As a swiss who tends to pay more and more often with cards but has sometimes the need for cash, I think this will work fine. I tend to get coins out of whatever I am using everytime I get home, so not much of those to store and I don't normaly have more than 50.- CHF in cash with me... Also I guess it should be possible to have some notes in the band on the outside.
I use the secrid card protector as standalone since about 2 to 3 years and decided to upgrade and try out the slide thingy now.

How hard would it be to redesign this with a lip that runs lengthwise, keeping the card carry box secure? I initially thought the orange strap was going to be used as additional paper cash storage. Looking forward to version 2.

    • @walletopia

My same thoughts. If they had put a rail system on this so the box would slide and clock into the bottom tray, it would be much more secure and usable.

Never mind. I ordered a Secrid Miniwallet today.
Couldn't find reviews of the Click&Slide. I guess I'll get that one on another occasion. I want to test the original. Even if it seems that Tru Virtu has a more refined product with the more discret card release button, nicer clasp and leather compartment for cash(as opposed to Secrid's flappy plastic thingy).

I love secrid miniwallet/slimwallet but don't like: 1) piece of plastic where you put banconotes; 2) missing coins slot. I think tha coin slot can be added on the back with a zip container. I'll wait till nekt version.

All of the extraction mechanisms work well, but SECRID's is most advanced and they have more experience with the engineering. If you're just looking for one that work, the Fidelo is really good too. I took that one on a carry test and have video on that one too (ruclips.net/video/Q4PtjUCqUns/видео.html). Ekster makes a good all around wallet so I would suggest it comes down to one that you like the most.

@@walletopia I mostly have loyalty program cards (store, gas station) in it, six of 'em, which are totally flat, not embossed. In the little "boat", as I call it, I have mostly two, but sometimes three pretty regular keys and two folded bills of cash. For the price point, the design choices has me scratching my head as if they were being "slightly" lazy with the thing. I would have expected if from a knock-off, but not from the original maker. The band doesn't make sense because you're "supposedly" expecting the thing to bloat a little if that was the case, and there's nothing holding the other end tight either if that happens - you're better off making a sleeve if that was the intent. And for the rubber band to be that "thick", there's a chance that will catch halfway out of your pocket and send cash/coins tumbling out if you're in a hurry. Giving it tight grooves/rails/whatnot to actually hold both parts in place makes more sense on it - kinda like how the STOW holds cards - or simply make one large unit that has a drawer at the bottom/back for cash/coins, eliminating the need for a band to join those two together.

@@emilianstefan4424 If there's something SECRID excels in it's the box design and trigger mechanism, they invented the market and continue to improve on it. Their slim box is really nice too.

@@walletopia Just got the Tru Virtu one too because I was too curious about it. I was right, it is a more mature design that's also friendlier to cash. У SECRID единственное, что интересно, это Cardprotector - как компактное устройство для ношения и защиты банковских и дисконтных карт. Все остальные варианты их кошельков неудобны и непрактичны.
