In case you should know, just like the recent study of the japanese raccoon dog being a separate species from the chinese raccoon dog, the asiatic cheetah is now recently treated as a separate species from the african cheetah, which makes sense seeing how there are now forty-five extant species of both cat and dog, thus equally making cats (family Felidae) and dogs (family Felidae) equally the largest and most diverse families of extant carnivorans, meaning both equally have more extant species than any other carnivoran family alive today.

That's the differences between subspecies and breeds, subspecies are their own species but share similar ancestry diverging into their own species after many years of isolation while breeds are just one species with unique characteristics, the asiatic cheetah is a separate species from the african cheetah but share many similarities in comparison to let's say the leopard that's why their all called the cheetah because even though they are separate species and can't breed even though there related.
      But thanks for sharing.

@Hayy-wann, cheetahs are defined by the genus Acinonyx as a whole much like how raccoon dogs are defined by the genus Nyctereutes as a whole, which is why many extinct species of the respective genera Acinonyx and Nyctereutes are called cheetahs and raccoon dogs respectively and why the asiatic cheetah (Acinonyx venaticus) and japanese raccoon dog (Nyctereutes viverrinus) are now considered separate species from the african cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) and the chinese raccoon dog (Nyctereutes procyonoides) respectively.

@@indyreno2933 But do they share similar ancestry if they don't what's the cat closely related to the asiatic cheetah.

@Hayy-wann, cheetahs are defined by the genus Acinonyx as a whole and only two cheetah species are alive today: the Asiatic Cheetah (Acinonyx venaticus) and the African Cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus)
In case you should know, there are forty-five extant species of both cat and dog, thus equally making cats (family Felidae) and dogs (family Canidae) the largest and most diverse families of extant carnivorans
The forty-five extant species of cat are the Asiatic Cheetah (Acinonyx venaticus), the African Cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus), the Puma (Puma concolor), the Jaguarundi (Herpailurus yagouaroundi), the Leopard (Panthera pardus), the Lion (Panthera leo), the Tiger (Uncia tigris), the Ounce (Uncia uncia), the Northern Bohebao (Neofelis nebulosa), the Southern Bohebao (Neofelis diardi), the Jaguar (Jaguarius onca), the Afghan Manul (Otocolobus ferrugineus), the Himalayan Manul (Otocolobus nigripectus), the Mongolian Manul (Otocolobus manul), the Iberian Lynx (Lynx pardinus), the Common Lynx (Lynx lynx), the Canada Lynx (Lynx canadensis), the Bobcat/Red Lynx (Lynx rufus), the Asiatic Golden Cat (Catopuma temminckii), the Marbled Cat (Pardofelis marmorata), the Bay Cat (Badiofelis badia), the African Golden Cat (Profelis aurata), the Serval (Leptailurus serval), the Caracal (Caracal caracal), the Jungle Cat (Felis (Sylviailurus) chaus), the Black-Footed Cat (Felis (Microfelis) nigripes), the Sand Cat (Felis (Ammofelis) margarita), the Chinese Mountain Cat (Felis (Petrofelis) bieti), the Asiatic Wildcat (Felis (Felis) ornata), the European Wildcat (Felis (Felis) silvestris), the African Wildcat (Felis (Felis) catus), the Rusty-Spotted Cat (Prionailurus (Poecilailurus) rubiginosus), the Flat-Headed Cat (Prionailurus (Ictailurus) planiceps), the Fishing Cat (Prionailurus (Zibethailurus) viverrinus), the Indian Leopard Cat (Prionailurus (Prionailurus) bengalensis), the Iriomote Cat (Prionailurus (Prionailurus) iriomotensis), the Southeast Asian Leopard Cat (Prionailurus (Prionailurus) javanensis), the Ocelot (Leopardus pardalis), the Margay (Leopardus wiedii), the Oncilla (Oncifelis tigrina), the Kodkod (Oncifelis guigna), the Guepard (Oncifelis guttula), the Geoffroy's Cat (Oncifelis geoffroyi), the Andean Mountain Cat (Oreailurus jacobitus), and the Pampas Cat (Oreailurus colocola)
