Correction: I forgot to number Bobby Labonte’s Charlotte win. This was Win #16 Second correction: I forgot the Bud Shootout Qualifier - it was won by Dale Jarrett. Third correction: The DieHard 500 clip is very messed up - the audio was off by an entire two laps. My sincerest apologies.
That reference where Bobby Labonte was told during commentary at Homestead, "you can breath now," it's understandable and not uncommon for a driver on the cusp of reaching the peak, ie, clinching a championship in a top series of Motorsport, to get either tense or nervous before they mathematically clinch the championship. Those of us who haven't experienced it can only imagine how it feels to have that release of tension and sheer joy of reaching the peak. The closest I've experienced is while I was on placement with a Rallycross team while I was at University and the driver of the car I was working on was in an intense battle for the championship and when results in the Finale went our way, I cheered louder than I've ever done in my life before or since
Definitely is a shame that Irwin Jr was taken from us so soon because I do believe he really could've been able to improve and win at least a few races in his career, especially after that 4th place finish at Talladega. RIP
Man I was at those 125's and to be honest I'll sit here and say it was an awesome day because I got to go to my 1st NASCAR race with my dad but the racing package, they had at Daytona that Speedweek was awful. I was happy my dad's favorite driver won the first one and mine won the second but just like Dale Sr. said after that 500 Bill Sr. would be rolling over in his grave.
At this point, RCR, DEI, and APR worked together to make their cars the best on superspeedways. That’s why the 3, 31, 8, 15, 33, and 55 were up front so much from 2000-2003
@@bowserjr. thank you so much for putting these together!! I've been very ill for a while and these keep my mind off of what's next. You don't need my approval but they are very well done.
It's a coincidence that I both first watched NASCAR and played The Tower of Druaga on Namco Museum Volume 3 back in 2000. LOL Since BowserJrXD posts RUclips videos about both NASCAR and The Tower of Druaga.

@bowserjr Who is your favorite NASCAR driver, who had the worst season in 2000?

Not to mention how much better the team would be once Chip Ganassi became the majority owner the next year
@@bowserjr. Agreed
I remember that Jeff Gordon instantly became my favorite when I used to watch NASCAR at a friend's house back in 2000.
35:19 - “BOBBY LABONTE IS THE NASCAR WINSTON CUP CHAMPION FOR 2000!!!”
Pretty cool you have videos of race winners from the 70's , 80's and 90's.😁👍
What year/series would you like to see next week? Leave a comment below!

Excellent video ! 😀
DEI must have had some unbelievably strong cars back then!!!

do you have a playlist of every year ?
Working on making it
Something wrong with the video of the spring race at Talladega ?
Yeeeeeep. I don’t want to think about it. I only realized too late that the original video was off sync.
@@bowserjr. yeah it sucks when something goes wrong but it's still a good video overall.
15:40 Man....i miss when Kenseth is still racing.
back when nascar was cool
May God have mercy on you if you watched those Gatorade Duels.
Who’s your favorite driver? Bill Elliott?
Matt Kenseth
You should do one on the 1992 season
I’ll add it to my queue
2000
What series
1:01 WRECKT
1986 and 1991 cup series
An Earnhardt fan, I see. I'll do it!
Thinking of 2001 or 2002
See 2002 was done
@@masoneveridge4078 so was 2001. Do you want Busch or Trucks for those years?
I think maybe the truck series for 2000 I think that would be kinda interesting
1997
Cup, Busch, or Trucks? Otherwise I’ll assume Cup
Uhh cup please
@@huntermanreynolds6485 No problem. I’ll try to get it out next Sunday in place of a Cup reaction due to the olympics
