Zach maybe for a new video you could go over exactly how you got your last client. Example, initial outreach, conversation onto the call and boarding, etc. Maybe talk about what their books looked like when it all got dumped on your lap. Idea for a new video that I think would be more helpful.

Love your videos Zach. My wife just started a bookkeeping company after doing the books for 8 years for a construction company. Could you possibly do a quick video on how you would charge for a customer that uses QBO self employed? It's kinda confusing since there is minimal classification and no reconciliation. Thanks!

Have you ever done bookkeeping for an independent contractor like a booth rental? Do you think it’s better to use cash basis for it?

I want to do what you're doing but bookkeeping and taxes as a monthly bundle but right now, only have about 200 tax clients. Its more transactional whereas with BK, you have to have more of a sales call to convince people to pay a monthly retainer and Im not good at knowing what questions to ask etc or how to close the deal. Bad at sales calls.

May I ask, how many hours a month do you work in total dedicated to marketing, customer service, and the actual bookkeeping? Would you recommend bookkeeping as a career that provides an abundance of time and freedom for myself?

Thank you for the video! Would you be willing to share how much you pay in taxes? I assume you have an LLC but are taxed as an S corp? Salary or Owners draw etc..? Would you recommend a certain dollar amount before an LLC is taxed as an S corp? Thanks for any info!

Curious why you need a spreadsheet when Quickbooks has a customer/client section with the email, phone number, address, notes, etc.? What is in the spreadsheet that you can't have in your email client and Quickbooks (CRMs I have used like Salesforce, Microsoft 365, Zoho, etc usually combine the two).

Hey Zach. I love how you touch each client once a week so your month end isn’t overwhelming. But how do you deal with checks written? Until you have the statement, you can’t see who the payee is and won’t know how to categorize it. Do you have a set of thresholds where you increase price for checks written? Also, are you changing the date on the check to the date it was written, or keeping the date it cleared the bank and came into the QBO feed? I would love a video on this topic!
    Thank you,
    Zack

I email the client and ask them who they paid. No I don’t change the check date. It’s usually only a few days before.
