Thank you i needed this, i'm planning on going to Vientiane but no flights go directly there from here, so i have to go to Bangkok first and then keep going to Vientiane, great video.
That looked like a really nice sleeper train! Not a bad way to travel. I am so excited to see your adventures in Laos! I have heard stories about Laos from friends, and I can't wait to see all the beautiful landscapes and people!
You guys are so funny in this episode I'm smiling ear to ear, Lol. Who can make a simple train trip this much fun! So good. Really look forward to this series. Safe travels, James and Kim
Super video of the trip. That train looks much better than our London (England)-Fort William (Scotland) sleeper eve though we have individual 'cabins': the room is so small you couldn't swing a cat! Plus you can't lock the door yourself from the outside. Weird, so you have to take valuables with you to the small dining car. If you happen to get a steward to lock it behind you then of course you have to get them to come back along the train with you to let you back in! Anyhow, your bed seemed ok (even if mandatory!). You were cold, ours are always too hot.
Yeah this train was pretty new and the ac was really powerful 😉 if we’re coming one day in UK we will definitely check out your train 😊 we really do love trains
If you are lucky the new Caledonian Sleeper carriages may have been installed by that time. The current ones are ancient and due to be replaced. (leave a nice tip at the bar and it can lead to good things!) :)@@KristynaRomain
@@KristynaRomain were you able to buy tickets immediately or was it a hassle? And how much did you spend on it? We'll be traveling to Vientiane this Dec. 30 and I'm afraid we might run out of tickets because of the holidays. Thank you for your help!
OH MY FUCKING GOD THIS VIDEO IS SO HELPFUL! THANKS SO MUCH! I’ll be traveling from BKK to VTE via sleeper train 25 on August 23 and I’m all alone. This helped allay some of my worries thank youuuu!
When I read the first words I was like damn bad comment! But nooo! 😁 were very happy that it was helpful! This is the reason why we started to make videos to be helpful to others 😍 enjoy so much your trip it’s really great!
Kristyna & Romain i’m sorry for the F word haha sorry I couldn’t help but be ecstatic because I came across your vid. I’ve been reading stuff online on how the train from bkk to vte really works and then the transfers to thanaleng laos and then ultimately to vte but all were either conflicting or lacking info. I was so uncertain to take the train that I almost settled to just taking a flight (which is damn expensive). Your vid helped put all the pieces together and now i’m all set to book my train ticket without any fear. Again thanks so much! Keep up the great work! Subscribed! ❤️❤️❤️

Nong Khai station to border cost 600 baht??That is just a few minutes train isn't it ?
I like that you guys showed the bottom bed and food cart in the train. Also the price for visum at the border.

If you never booked anything with booking.com and you will use our discount code you will get 15€ off but if you’re done it I don’t think so 😊
Can you tell me how much does it cost? Do i need to book in advance? I plan to do the same thing as yours next week :)
No don't worry ! 3 days before it's enough! I don't remember the price but it was not real expensive !
