You need to go to laos 🇱🇦 more. I never realized how much different Laotian and Thai food were because I’m Laotian and I’m 20 years old born in America. I grew up eating all these types of food and I absolutely love it all so much. I’ve been watching you forever and I’ve always seen you eat at Thailand probably because you live in Thailand but it’s nice seeing you go to the place where my parents originated from. It’s nice to understand the language a lot better in Laos for me too instead of Thailand. But I will always be in love with Laotian food and I just had a baby and I want her to grow up eating Laotian food just as I did in America but it’s going to be a lot harder because my girlfriend is American(white) and she only likes certain dishes that I make her but I really enjoyed these episodes of laos I really appreciate it mark!!
Yes definitely different but they have their similarities, my mom is Lao and Thai but from the Northeast region of Thailand (Isaan). I was able to see the difference growing up and Lao food is more on the spicy and flavorful side.
Laos is awesome, I live in Thailand (isan) but I prefer almost everything about Lao over Thailand...at least in Isan you can get Lao food, but what I miss most about being in Lao is the people...
@@Ned88Man yeah that's the Closest you'll get to Lao food is in the Isan region, some cities there use Lao as the main language too instead of Thai. My mom is Isan and she does everything Lao style in her cooking

@Tho Athome We know that. We all do. But Thais make food to fit the Thai palette which is very extreme in every single flavor. So when you say that the papaya salad is sweet is because we're used to it that way, and I would argue that Lao people don't put enough sweetness in their food.

Lao Food!!! Laos is pretty underrated...and it kinda makes sense that it's still quite unknown because of its neighbour countries. The country is big and there are only a few popular/touristy spots like Luang Prabang, Vang Vieng, and well, Vientiane? We stayed for about for months, not only travelling but also volunteering in a couple of places, seeing and experiencing the local life. I'd say that Lao people are very welcoming and friendly and humble. We loved to hang out with them and miss them all! Food is also underrated and even though there isn't as much as variety as in Vietnam, but still, so much to try. Regarding money, we felt it wasn't as cheap as Vietnam, but since it's quite unexploited, definitely cheaper than Thailand or Cambodia. Which makes it very affordable for any kind of traveler! I don't know why I'm saying all this in a comment, if you read this far, come over our channel and see another kind of vlog from a different point of view!
I've showed that clip to a family from laos who don't go there for 20 years..and they've cried watching that clip.

Joel is never not blazed out of his mind.
He can't form a sound without imitating Mark because he can't form his own coherent thoughts.
That being said, Mark is also high.
I would love to see Mark on Hot Ones with Sean Evans, dabbing every wing.
