Horns are "pointy and impractical" which is awesome. This isn't a traditional EDC so design over function works!!!!! Love it
Thank you! It’s a fun one
Wow! Before watching the build I thought this looked like a Nazgûl build! It’s beautiful, man. Now onto video # 4!
Super Nice work man i realy like lotr and The hobbit to your pommel looks like The spikes of The tower of orthanc and The guard looks like The one on The morgul blade The Damascus looks great with The antler and The iron Realy Nice dagger 👍👍🔥
Thank you
@@LiamJPenn np
I haven't seen too many videos from this challenge, but so far this one is my favourite. The style, the proportions, the textures, everything is perfect.
Thank you!
Man. I watch blade smithing videos all the time, usually watch Tyrell a lot, but finding you, you’re also very enjoyable to watch. I really want to get into blade smithing one day
Thanks! It’s a fun thing to do
That thing is wicked, from the heavily etched metal that grain on the wrought with the copper is bad ass and the dragon tooth handle is really set off by the subtle nickel silver. You should be doing this stuff for the show biz they would greatly benefit from props made by you, honestly I mean it!
Haha thank you! I’d love to make stuff for movies! Maybe some day
Liam You are my 3rd video to watch so far, you blew my mind away! I love your build. The scabbord making process was incredible, true next level! A++
Thanks man!
Really cool build, Liam! I love your vision for this blade! 👍
Thanks!
Took the words out of my mouth.
The forge fitting 🔥.
Reflection on previous builds and how to challenge yourself with future builds is exactly how one becomes a master smith.
I'd fight an elden ring boss for that weapon.
That braided belt loop is a phenomenal detail.
Thank you!
Nice example of turning your ideas into reality. Lots of work, done to perfection.
No negative comments from me.
Thanks for the video
Thank you!
WOW!! It really does look like a relic! Insane levels of patina right there, it rally looks like it's been forged by dragon's breath! Absolutely lovely
Thank you!🤘🏼
"However I demand you to not touch it and neither let it be touched by anyone else [...] Liam crafted it in the depths of time"
I hope that translation is somewhat correct...I only have access to the German version of LOTR 😃
Amazing piece!😊
Amazing job Liam! It absolutely looks like a relic out of a movie
Liam ... an absolutely fantastic fantasy (but functional) dagger for the challenge. Your use of wrought iron for the guard and pommel, braised copper embelishments, and the moose antler handle were perfect choices for the 'relic' look. The scabbard, however, sets your build apart from many of the others in the competetion. The attention-to-detail, the processes used, and the design even improved the "relic" theme and are just ... perfect. You earned a new subscriber, and I hope I can enjoy future work. 18 years old ?!? Well done, and thanks for sharing. Good luck!
Thank you! Your kind words mean a lot
Nice job, Liam. You definitely smashed that fantasy vibe.
Thank you! That was the goal
Phenomenal work Liam. Great looking piece
Thank you!
This is one amazing build. I think the story you told of how it's a relic found in an old dungeon or keep is definitely shown in the final product. If someone heard your tale and was asked to pick this out of a 10 knife line up they would get it instantly. Great work
Thank you
@@LiamJPenn I'll definitely be following your work mate its awsome, and I've learned some tricks from your videos for some projects I'm working on, you do a fab job of breaking down the steps
Really looks like something an Uruk Hai would use
A work of art that tells a story through your imagination, love it.
Thanks!
So far this one stopped me while scrolling down my feed more than the others ,I like the rustic look
Thank you!
Looks like a blade from Conan the Barbarian. Nice work!!
A trick ive heard for dealing with coarse wrought iron. Is basically just refinining it yourself by doing multiple folds.
Though. Its tedious without a press, or powerhammer.
The blade came out really nicely by the way.
I absolutely love fantasy weapons, more along the lines of (1980) Conan the Barbarian with Arnold Schwarzenegger and a little like Scythian style weapons. This blade definitely gives me those kind of vibes and now this has made me want to try my hand at forging my own fantasy weapon.
Well done job on the blade
Thank you! I love Conan. Fantasy weapons are so fun
i liked that you spent time forging the blade. and not just cutting out a blank from flat stock. a contender for sure. but many more to watch
Love the video liam! We are happy to have 3 of your blades in our shop!

Thank you! 🤘🏼
Good golly goodness you did some amazing work Liam! I love the rustic fantasy style!
Thanks Drew. It was a blast to make
Out of this world!! So creative and different
Thank you
a Nazgul dagger, cool !!!!!!!😁😁👍👍👍
I have seen all of the challenge entries. Your design might not be the nicest one but the effort, the amount of work involved both in the dagger and the sheath and the final result all together deserves my vote. You’ve got it. Congrats. I do like vey much the wood and leather sheath
You put a lot of work and effort to this artifact! I love it! This is one of the most oryginal blade in the challenge! Remarkable work Liam!
Thank you!
Looks absolutely amazing, looks exactly how I imagined the barrow blades the hobbits get in the barrow downs in the fellowship of the ring
That’s the look I was going for!
i like clasical look, unique
I love the overall aesthetic of your blade and sheath. The addition of copper to the guard and pommel adds a lot to its burnt look of it. Bravo!
Thanks!
You are one very skilled craftsman and knifesmith. What a great dagger and video!
Thank you
Excellent!
Remarkable vision!
Remarkable version!
Thank you
anyone else thanking Conan? i like it nice entry
Gorgeous knife! As far a practicality - having fun is also important in today’s world. Glad you enjoyed the build - we certainly enjoyed seeing it take shape! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks! It was a really fun build
Memorable work worthy of a master, congratulations it was really amazing.
Thank you
This is literally the coolest dagger o have ever seen
Thanks
Liam, Simply outstanding! Your fantasy knife is well designed, unique and exhibits the talent you have. Your video flows and your narration gives watches a sense of what is takes to forge such a knife.
Thanks!
Awesome job, that is a thing of beauty...
Fantastic Build mate, really enjoyed watching!
You had some interesting ideas that I've not seen before. I hope you do well in the competition!
cool build, certainly made it look like a relic, some interesting techniques there as well
Thank you! It was a fun build
Really interesting looking sword - great work on the handle and sheaf. Well done and nice video! 👍
Thanks
Very nice build, fantastic design
Still making my way through the "dagger challenge" videos, so I haven't seen who won yet, but I swear, you did an amazing job. And if you weren't a winner, I will be so disappointed. To do that much w/ hammer and tongs man... that's amazing
Thank you! I did not win but I still count that as my best work to date
@@LiamJPenn that is a travesty. That dagger was amazing. And the amount of tong and hammer work you did, compared to some of the stock removal stuff in that challenge… I wish id seen it when voting was live.
Most unique processes totally
Thanks
That came out great.
awesome dagger and pattern
Great work beautiful knife and sheath
Thank you
Very nice! Enjoyed the commentary too. Great job.
great job, love the fantasy look
Thanks
I think you nailed it! You description of your vision for the outcome was how I imagined a dagger found in a dragons lair would look like. I too am a big fan of LOTR, and once upon a time I sat at a table for weeks on end playing D&D. In my opinion, you've really upped the ante with this one making voting much more difficult for me at least. Good job Liam, I loved watching your process, and your narration was very easy to follow. Instant sub :)
Good Luck!
Thank you!
It's a very cool build. Great job!
Amazing!!!!! This is the first of the videos for me to watch. I am impressed!!! The rest better be great to surpass you!!!
Haha thanks. Some of the others are pretty wild
Ah, so that's what it looks like to forge a legendary tier weapon.. Nice!
Thank you
Nicely done. I like the "used" appearance.
Thanks
Liam the varying different skills you used when making this blade just wow you just earned a sub
Thank you! 🤘🏼
If I go to Middle Earth, I want to take a dagger like that with me! Very cool!
Right! This thing is ready for orc blood
Awsome job. Love the patina
Thanks
Awesome job. Love the antique look to it. Definitely one of the top builds in this competition my friend.
Thank you
Very cool! Awesome concept and execution!
Thank you
Excellent work 👍👍👍
Super nice Liam, well done.
Thank you
👏 I’m a bit of a fantasy nerd myself. Love this build! A definite modern relic. Awesome job!
Thanks!
Love the look of this, great job!
Thank you
Amazing work Liam! It really shows that you put so much thought into this dagger. Everything fits together so nicely
Thank you
I’m quite amazed with all the talents and skills you have for being a youngster. Good luck in the competition! Very sweet dagger Liam
Thank you!
Great job Liam, it looks awesome!
Thank you
This project came out great. That copper process for the pomel was interesting too, gave me some homework to do lol
Haha thanks! It was just like brazing
I really appreciate your explaining your thought process and seeing how you put all the awesome details into this design. I am also a fan of sword and sorcery so I can relate to what you wanted for this. I think it came out amazing!
Excellent work!! I am working ona couple of daggers myself at the moment. I doubt they will come out near as amazing, but still fun to make! Cheers!
Thank you
that is wicked cool. Kudos!
That’s a fucking rad dagger!! Love it.
Thank you
Well done, I really liked that you explained your processes and thoughts throughout the build. Also some really good techniques.
Thank you!
Beautiful
Thank you
Really well executed artistic concept, I agree on the fantasy appeal for daggers too. No one's using this stuff, so they may as well be an adventure in the making :)
Great work
Thank you! It was a really fun build
That dagger looks amazing, really cool look and I love the backstory.
Thanks!
Nailed the relic look!
Thanks!
Legendary.
Thanks 🤘🏼
that's pretty cool. Not a dagger but still cool
Very nice work, exceptional
Just subscribed. I choose you for the winner!! Good job! Killed the handle especially bro 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you! 🤘🏼
I've been following you on Instagram for a long time and had absolutely no idea you had a RUclips channel. This is cool as hell
Haha thank you! 🤘🏼
I really enjoyed watching your process, each step was fun to see where you were taking us. Great job!
Thank you! 🤘🏼
A good name for your dagger would be "Órc's Tooth'.
Gran trabajo!! De las piezas más bonitas que te he visto hacer. Mucha suerte maquina!!
Domino's had their very out pizzas 50 percent off this week if ordered through the APP. The last time I got one from then it was really good. They have improved their pizzas a bunch.
Great build, well done.
Thanks! 🤘🏼
That is awesome!! Well done!!
Thank you
Nice work! Very different from what I used to watch, and it surely came out the way you intended, straight out a fantasy game or movie! 👍
Thank you! It was a fun build
Spectacular work mate, my favourite of the bunch I think. Well done
Thank you! 🤘🏼
Very cool build
Thanks!
It honestly looks like screenshots from a game at the end there.
Really awesome build! Good job
Thank you
