Meghan doesn't bother me as much as some, however when she said that it really annoyed me because as you mention just a couple of weeks ago she said she had no interest in the movie. But also both her and Abby had made it clear they saw nothing untoward during their time at Fox. So how can she say she was being represented in this movie? She's talking out of her backside.

Meghan thinks working on FOX as an occasional guest cohost and contributor for a year or so is comparable to working on FOX as an anchor or lead program host for decades. She said “you’re representing me" as if she had her own show on the network. She didn’t even have her own dressing room or office.
I always loved Jurnee Smollett -- she was so danged cute and filled to the top with talent as a kid. I love seeing her now, all grown up and absolutely gorgeous. Oh man, she's fabulous.

You can tell how much dedicated and involved Margot is with the projects she produces from stunt coordinators to costume team she knew all their names and all the details. Can't wait to see this new one!

I love this interview and that they talked about Renee Montoya being a Lesbian character, but she’s not the first there’s a lot of LGBTQ+ characters Harley Quinn herself is into both men and women.
Cayman B She is the first openly Gay character. She was created for the animated series (along with Harley) and she was forced out by Two Face in the early 2000’s comic line.
Although we have Batwoman who is also a Lesbian, her sexuality wasn’t outed until 2006-she was originally created in 1956 to be Bruce’s love interest because many people thought Bruce was Gay.
Harley wasn’t really outed as being Bi until recently because we just assumed her and Ivy were besties until a comic storyline explored more of their relationship in 2017.
I do agree there are more LGBTQ+ characters in the DC universe but when it comes to Lesbian (as LGBTQ+ are different from each other) Renee is the first.
SNL represented you, Meghan. This film was about the women directly involved.

I understand movie promo interviews tend to focus the Q&A on most the recognized names, but I am a little dissapointed no questions were directed at Ella Jay Basco. At least from what I see in this clip. Newcomers, and newcomers of color, should be given their time too. Same logic you guys apply to political candidates. Representation in front and behind of the camera also needs the support of the media interviewing / shedding light on new talent.

@@drubert1981 Yes, but you know the media, especially "The View". When "The View" has a guest on who is pushing a book, like Jeanine Pirro, all they did was attack her support of Trump. But here, they complemented Smollett's sister for not getting involved in that incident. They didn't challenge her at all. "The View" is so bias.
@@dttruman it's about the bigger picture. Literally. Why tank a superhero (or anti-hero) movie with an all-female leading cast, because of something the RELATIVE of one of the cast members ALLEGEDLY did. If the movie flops for any reason, studios will be reluctant to take a risk producing another such movie, which will be bad for women in Hollywood in terms of the range of characters they would get to play.
Besides, it's not like Jussie did something on the level of Nicki Minaj's brother, raping a 10-year-old girl, with Nicki vociferously defending him until the very end. She even bailed him out of jail before his trial.

Lt. Montoya is not the first lesbian in DC Comics. People want a good movie. The characters you've re-appropriated aren't in front of the behind the camera--trust me, I know them--so regardless of who is behind the camera I'm out. Not the best treatment of gays in this film anyway (Black Mask). Love that Megan could careless and more important news comes in.
