In this video I will show you how I go about seasoning every griddle I own. Expect to take about an hour to do the initial seasoning before you cook on the griddle the first time.

If there is an issue with lighting it automatically, how else can I light it? You make EXCELLENT videos. I am ready to purchase one. Hoping to get answers to the question I asked here and the question I posted on the video when you were sitting it up. Thank you!
Flaxseed oil is great and the toughest for seasoning.
Thanks for the info 👍
Bought this griddle today.. thanks for the video I paid 177.00 at Walmart
I bought the stainless steel version on amazon for 134.00 and looked into getting the stand and hood. Stand was 99.99 and hood was 59.00. Then I saw this video and went to Walmart and grab this for 147.00 and returned the other one back to amazon. Thanks happy with this find
Im glad you came across this video! Its an awesome value and its hard to beat! Thanks for watching Pierre.
Nice little yard and great video, thumbs up
What are your pros and cons? Blackstone or Royal Gourmet? looking to buy one and don't know which one to get. Thanks! great videos!
About to pull trigger on one, thanks for good video!!
Your going to love it! Thanks for watching Scott. Let me know what you think of it!
Tony first off what a Beautiful Great Dane. I haven’t seen a whole lot of these type videos. Thanks for the tutorial
Thanks meathead! The dog is a lot of work since she is still a pup. I come home to something chewed up everyday haha..
The great dane is a Merl great dan.
Liking the new design!
Me too! Its also built alot better then their 36".
If you will turn the knobs a little slower it will light every time. At least my 22" does. Thanks for the video.
I done everything I could do to get it to light the first time and its hit and miss to be honest.
I bought the 22" Adventure Ready in June and have not gotten it to light yet. I'm going to give it another try. Going to lower the ignition needles a bit. Trying not to get frustrated.
Just found this video. Can the regulator be positioned down so that the hose to the 20 lb tank runs under the side table and the tank fits under the griddle instead off to the side?
I see you posted this two years ago. How has it held up for you? I just bought one. I need to store it outside which makes me nervous about protecting it. Any advice?
Very informative...thanks.
Question? We will be using our 22" in our RV and in AZ for 6-7 months. What do you use or recommend to cover the griddle?
Thanks again.
Hey Larry. I haven't been in the market for a cover yet so I dont have any recommendations. If you do come across one before I do please let me know!
Do you prefer this one over the royal gourmet?
Got one 22 inch for $80 lady included Blackstone spatulas scraper and spray bottles. Only thing was missing was the grease trap. Anyone know where I can find one?
Just ordered one from Walmart. We don't need the legs, but do want the hood. Amazon wants $60 just for the hood. Thanks!
Its a great value considering what you get! You cant beat the price.
Thanks for the great video - definitely helped sell me on this griddle. I've used mine about 6 times now and noticed that it is warped about 1/4" across the surface. Is that normal or expected?
it shouldn't warp like that. I have noticed that mine bows a little when I use it which isn't too big of a deal but thats the reason those metal brackets are welded underneath to help avoid that but they need more of them or they need to be thicker cause of the issues you brought up.
Hi Tony, nice video. I just bought the same griddle from Walmart. Does anybody have any idea how to secure this griddle and stand from theft? I have a little patio set up on the driveway/ side of garage that is visible from the street if my truck is not parked there. I can run a cable and lock through the stand, but don’t know how to secure the griddle because it is meant to be moved off the stand. Any suggestions?
The only thing I can think of is drilling a hole in the griddle itself. Other then that you would have to take it inside
Thanks for the video, very helpful
Your welcome bobby! I hope you enjoy your griddle!
You want THIN layers of oil for the seasoning process. The thinner the better
Does Black Stone make a cover for this model (22 in. Griddle with Legs, and Bulk Adapter Hose)?
Yes they do
Great video, thanks
Where did you get the adapter for the bigger propane tank. Thanks.
It actually came with the griddle but all the links are in the description box for each product used in the video including the adapter for the propane tank.
What does the manual say The griddle is under warranty by Blackstone.
Im not quite sure what your asking. Can you please clarify?
Hope that your dog got some bacon.
As of today these are $95.67 online at Walmart!!!
"Don't leave it on too long or you'll have an explosion or whatever..." Hahaha, that's funny stuff right there.
haha.. funny but true! I left the gas on too long on one of my other griddles and it made a huge bang and the griddle top lifted up haha. Scared the crap out of everyone near by but thats what happens when they distract you lol.
@@tonybuddy123 whats too long i want one of these but im scared to death of the gas tanks
