We've used this griddler for a variety of items including steak, fish, vegetables ruclips.net/user/postUgkxMcXT6_MuT0hB3ejyGQQHaeof9bwoWPUf and mushrooms and it's been great! Gets that great smokey flavor when using high heat or sear. The grill works amazingly simple and very low smoke for what it is. Heat gets up fairly quick, especially on closed position. The griddler side is fairly simple, better for eggs and pancakes rather than any cooking. Use the flat plates with the grill side if needed.Cleanup is easy and having heat on both sides is great for cooking a large amount or panini press. This definitely gets hot though so be careful with the sides.
Thank you - I ordered one and it arrived today. I was wondering with size of box if it was too big for camping, and you totally showed how it can be used without the stand, folding, etc. I'm sold. Now to fire it up!
Sold it for me. What I wanted to see most is how the legs fold down. I’ll be getting one for the beach because I feel the same way about dealing with charcoal and wind
My 22” never worked consistently. Blackstone sent a new regulator but that didn’t last long. Thought I had it figured out by turning the knob slowly to let some gas flow before igniting. 8 out 10 times I couldn’t get it to light or build up a significant flame. Tried the one pound propane tanks to no avail. Hope you have a great time with your griddle!
Great video! You can also put the side shelf inside the bottom of the stand before folding the legs in and they hold it in place. The legs will fold down on top of it for storage. I also have the carry case and highly recommend it.
Thx for the info. I just bought this one for my home. Didn’t have the room for the 4 burner i really wanted, but I will make this do. I just bought this at Walmart today for $180 plus tax.
Last place we camped, regulations were to not use picnic tables for grilling. I guess because of grease drips. I guess also that this thing isn’t technically a grill but it also has a grease trap. I am sold on this model. Thanks for doing the video

We have the Air Fryer and a regular 36 inch, but this 22 will be perfect for us to take camping at the lake or the cabins in the mountains, or even the beach. BUT I love all my griddles!!! Thanks for watching!!
Great video, very helpful. I just bought this one and cannot wait to take it camping soon. Question, the legs. They seem really wobbly when fully extended, is that standard for them to be on the loose side? I got this mainly to set on picnic tables.
How long do the burners last? I am looking for a griddle with stainless steel burners. In my multile decades of camp/backyard cooking, the life of the product depended on the life of the original burners because universal replacements were never as good as original equipment
Well, I have had a BS for over 4 years now and the burners are still like new. Could be because food and grease never touch them, not sure if that helps them last longer. But to answer your question, I'm not sur how long they will last, but I have never heard of burners having to be replaced in a Blackstone.
No Problem, I tried to cover everything I could think of that I might want to know, but I'm sure I missed something. Thanks so much for checking it out!!
We have the 17 inch Blackstone model since 2017 and use it camping all the time. I purchased the Blackstone stand last year and it’s a welcomed addition. Thanks for sharing!!!
I ordered one for our 5th wheel. It’s the perfect addition to my RECTEC trailblazer pellet grill for my outdoor cooking setup with a 12’ QD hose that hooks into my 5th wheel.
You can order an extra table for the left side. Pretty cheap. As I did not register my unit, I normally dont on units with short warranty times, blackstone would not let me order one. That ticked me off, talk about customer service. I could have warrantied the table i have because a spot weld broke but I'm not that kind of guy. Unlike blackstone.
I'm thinking we may buy the 17 inch with the side burner as well. We have a Campchef Pro 90 system with the FTG and grill box. We haven"t use it lately, it is so big and our kids don't go camping with us much anymore, but if we have a larger group we will put it back into service.
The only place I know of would be Walmart or Blackstone themselves unless you can find a used one for sale somewhere. They must be in high demand right now.

If I don't tighten down the set screws and make sure the legs are all touching the ground, it wobbles. Sometimes I have to work with it to get it right.
@@TheCrazyPop there was only one hole near the top of the lower leg, so that’s where I placed the screw. Then I saw where folks where happy with the table, so I moved the screws to where the indendtions were and poof, sturdy table! Thanks
The Crazy Pop I had a guy reply and he said that it can be pointed down. Also on the Blackstone website they do offer a hose regulator whereby the regulator fastens to the gas tank. The other end fastens to the griddle without the attached regulator you see in the advertising videos.
That irritated me off the bat. That regulator is also used on other manufacturing company grills. Anyway, when turned down, the hose points the wrong way. So looking at it I realized I could just unscrew the two screws holding it down and rotate it 180 degrees. Retighten screws. Bubble check just for safety's sake. Now it points down and the hose points to the rear. Basically it is now out of the way. I think it could have been designed much better but they got cheap and used a generic unit.
Is the lid removable? I really like the looks of the adventure ready version over the stainless (minus the hood). Also, most carry bags i've seen don't fit the lid. Is the steel griddle easily removable to get to the burners? And if so does it fit on upside down for transport like the other model? Sorry for all of the questions...really considering this griddle but just want to make sure it can be set up how i'd like it.
Great questions. The hood can be removed by taking the two bolts and nuts off (one on each side). Not sure about fitting in a carry bag, I need one, but don't have yet. Yes the steel griddle just picks right up, even with the lid bolted on and it will flip upside down for transport. I had to go and look at the griddle to make sure...lol. Thanks for stopping by and checking us out. If we can help anymore, just let us know.
They should have put more planning into the stand. For a travel griddle, they should have it all nest together so stand and griddle fit in the bag. Not sure how to do it, but if something is for travel, it needs to be easily transportable and not require to people to carry it from place to place. Since the griddle takes 2 hands to carry.
Thanks Crazy Pop for this detailed review. Especially with the stand…I wasn’t sure of its quality but you confirmed it does a pretty good job. Hopefully I grab myself one of these and start making my own videos. Happy cooking!
I was impressed with it. I need to use it more than I do when we travel and make videos with it. I love using it. If you get one and make videos, let me know. I would love to see them!!
I saw one on Walmart. Com for $99 but can’t order till Saturday but unfortunately the top is mounted to the stand. I called blackstone and they verified it. It’s a brand new item so I went ahead and ordered a 22 inch tabletop from camping world for $ 130
Yes it has legs but I’m having my friend copy a stand for me I saw I think on line. It’s a great deal but it’s mounted to the stand and I want it more for a tabletop
I just picked one of these up last night at a walmart. The had them marked down to 96 dollars. They were looking to get rid of stock to make space for their Christmas shop set up.
Great review, brother. Thank you for the detailed review of the stand. I see a deal on one a can't pass up. I love anything to do with cooking ( and eating ;-) )
@@TheCrazyPop I have a 30" griddle at home but wanted one portable for camping so I got it and will use at home but also with that bag I'll be able to fold the legs and transport the whole thing together protected when camping. Seems like a nice little setup. Picked up an aftermarket cover since Blackstone doesn't make one for the adventure with stand for some reason. Weird because it seems to be a popular model.
They have this one available at Walmart, with hood and stand www.walmart.com/ip/Blackstone-Adventure-Ready-22-Griddle-with-Stand-and-Adapter-Hose/222411088
I've been thinking about buying one for my hisencn 22 in portable griddle. But I stand 5 ft 7 and I just feel that the griddle stand would be too short in height for me.. I'm thinking about either building a portable 8 in tall platform from modified wood pallets to create a small patio for a platform or buy leg extenders/ extensions for the griddle stand. But I can't use a table or stand that's too short like this stand. I want to at least have a height of 4 feet tall, like a grill would be in a restaurant or so. Trying to figure it out.
I'm 5'11 and it is great height for me. The stand is adjustable and I have no problem with it so far.. I just measured and the griddle top is 35 inches from the ground, My Air Fryer combo that I use in almost every video is 37 inches, so not much difference. But nothing wrong with a custom table to get it just like you want. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@julzbergener8142 I bought one, and it does come off the rolling stand, and you could potentially sit it on a tailgate, table, etc if you’d like. But it does have pegs on the bottom that hold it in place on the base, but it just slides right into place, really easy!
Really depends on how you cook, Normal cooking (med to low) probably about 20 cooks maybe. Kinda hard to say because it depends on how hot you are cooking and for how long each cook is.
Be aware that there are two versions of the Blackstone 22 Adventure Ready with stand. The original one has a folding stand and the griddle sits on top as a seperate unit and is removable making it portable. The new model 22 which goes by the same name does not have a folding stand and the stand mounts to the griddle as one unit and comes with wheels which makes it not portable for traveling.
Thanks for the heads up. This version is $174 at walmart and the one with the wheels was on sale for the holiday and still sold out at walmart for $99. I bought the one with no wheels :)

whats the diffrence between a adventure blackstone and a regular blackstone
The adventure ready is made to be portable, Folding stand, rubber feet on the griddle so it can be place on a table. Stuff like that
So is this griddle rolled steel or castiron? I plan on having it near the beach and you know rust is a major detractor.
It's cold rolled steel, but if it is seasoned good, rust shouldn't be a big problem.
what are the dimensions of the tabletop legs? I have an RV bumper grill table for my camper and want to make sure the legs fit on my table.
I'll check and let you know!

The Igniter is built into the knobs, so when you turn them to start the gas, you hear a loud click and that is the Igniter firing.

Yeah it is cumbersome
Thanks Crazy Pop for this detailed review. Especially with the stand…I wasn’t sure of its quality but you confirmed it does a pretty good job. Hopefully I grab myself one of these and start making my own videos. Happy cooking!
I was impressed with it. I need to use it more than I do when we travel and make videos with it. I love using it. If you get one and make videos, let me know. I would love to see them!!
@@TheCrazyPop I picked one up from Walmart last week! I’ll start posting, keep a look out!
@@TheCrazyPop I posted my video, thanks for your support! ruclips.net/video/Yb_fD8EaXiw/видео.html
Man that looks like the perfect griddle/...
I love it!!
Do you have to use the legs , can you use it as a tabletop
It has rubber feet, so yeah you can take it off the stand and put it on a table top!!
I saw one on Walmart. Com for $99 but can’t order till Saturday but unfortunately the top is mounted to the stand. I called blackstone and they verified it. It’s a brand new item so I went ahead and ordered a 22 inch tabletop from camping world for $ 130
@@chrissuarez6431 yeah, the Black Friday Blackstone deal is a little different than this one. I noticed it has wheels also.
Yes it has legs but I’m having my friend copy a stand for me I saw I think on line. It’s a great deal but it’s mounted to the stand and I want it more for a tabletop
Nice review, thx for sharing.
Glad you liked it!! Thanks for watching!!
I just picked one of these up last night at a walmart. The had them marked down to 96 dollars. They were looking to get rid of stock to make space for their Christmas shop set up.
WOW, you got almost half off, that's a steal!! I wish the Walmart's around here would put some on Clearance!!
I found one at Walmart for $79! Grabbed one as a Christmas present!
@@jaidenhand2818 DANG, that was a steal!!!
Already got the grill can you just buy the table for the 22 ln.
Yep, here is the link to it on Amazon

Great review, brother. Thank you for the detailed review of the stand. I see a deal on one a can't pass up. I love anything to do with cooking ( and eating ;-) )
Thanks, we are really loving this model and there will be some videos on it coming soon!!
Fantastic video!
Thanks!
They now have a carrying case for the griddle and stand all together. Part 5035.
Yeah, I am loving the new Adventure Ready griddles too!
They have this one available at Walmart, with hood and stand

@@TheCrazyPop that's the exact one I just got so I have one for camping. Can't move my 30" lol.
How long will the 1 pound last turned on
About 1 hour is what we got out of it. Might vary a little sometimes.
Order this today with the carrying case.
Awesome, I love mine!
Crazy Pop is the 17 inch better for 2 people or would the 22 be better? Thanks Mr New Horizons
Honestly, I would go with the 22 inch. gives more room when cooking different things at the same time like breakfast or tacos and such.
Then I guess we will go with the 22 inch
The other benefit to the 22 inch is the 2 burners. You can cook high on 1 side and low on other.
Why are some of the knobs online have an orange trim?
I guess it's an upgrade, not sure.
It's a revised model. I just got mine. The hose for the 20# tank has its own regulator and hooks up without the small tank adapter.
Super cool and very good review!! Thank you!! Sold!!!!
Glad you liked it!
Walmart has these for 99 bucks on Black Friday sales this month
Yeah, they will probably go fast.
I just bought one. Gonna try it out on my day off
It's not the same one. The $99 is a single unit and doesn't come apart.
@@julzbergener8142 I bought one, and it does come off the rolling stand, and you could potentially sit it on a tailgate, table, etc if you’d like. But it does have pegs on the bottom that hold it in place on the base, but it just slides right into place, really easy!
@@GormanGrayson thx. damn! Wish I knew that before I paid $174 for this one! I would've got the $99 deal.
Legs won’t stay locked on mine griddle is way to heavy for cheap stand
Not sure why, ours so far is working great.
Did the stand come folded in the box? or you have to assemble it?
It came folded. All I had to do is put the side self on.
@@TheCrazyPop Awesome-Thanks!
Good video Sir ,,,, I'm thinking of getting one of these ,,,,Sir i believe you could sell a used car or two
I really like this, easy to take places and can cook a good bit too. Not sure about selling cars....lol
Why is the side table on the same side as the propane hookup? Takes away from the table access.
The only thing I can figure is that it helps hold the 1lb propane bottles. I'm like you, it's kinda in the way there.
@@TheCrazyPop I flipped mine around and it works fine.
Looks easy to set up. Nice griddle.
I was really surprised at how easy it is!!!
You sold me this. Good job lol
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!!
@@TheCrazyPop used it this weekend while camping and loved it!
How long would you say a 1lb tank last in this?
Really depends on how you cook, Normal cooking (med to low) probably about 20 cooks maybe. Kinda hard to say because it depends on how hot you are cooking and for how long each cook is.
@@TheCrazyPop Ok, thanks. Going on a camping trip and I'm cooking breakfast for about 22 people. I'll bring a few cans just as backup.
Plan on getting two cooks at best with a 1 pound tank. It is a great little griddle BTW
Awesome review
Thank you!
Yeah, the one they sold on Black Friday is different than this one, but when this was recorded, this was the only one available.
Thanks for the heads up. This version is $174 at walmart and the one with the wheels was on sale for the holiday and still sold out at walmart for $99. I bought the one with no wheels :)
@@zman221 The one with wheels was a Black Friday Special, doubt you will see those again unless they do it again for Black Friday or something.
@@TheCrazyPop I was able to convince walmart to give it to me for the same $99. W/ Free shipping. 😁🍺🍺🔥

Those leg turn knobs don’t lock in place, what if the heavy ness caused the thig to collapse 😮
They lock down pretty tight. My Pizza oven in on it now and I haven't had a problems yet.

Man the quail are calling hard in the background lol!!!
Yeah, they get kinda noisy around here sometimes
Now we are trying to justify getting this one for camping.
Once you do, you will be so glad you did!!
You'll find you"ll be using this at home also.
I don't like that the gas line comes out right over the top of the side table.
Yeah, not the best design!
Finally bought one because they are on sale rn! My uncle picked one up long ago for like 100$ so jealous
