  • Donald Osborne is the CEO of Audrain Motorsport and the reason we got to drive a car made before 1910! Remember when we held up a city's worth of traffic on a bridge? We have him to thank. Sort of. Donald is an absolute car expert with a focus on vintage cars. As someone who has curated museum collections and assessed cars for collectors, he really knows the minutiae of so many vehicles.
On this show we laugh about our famous traffic jam; talk about how we beat Donald in the "non-race" this year; discussed the comical differences between cars in the early 1900s; find out when he got his style; and check in on his surprisingly modern Ferrari.

I was in the audience for this podcast- I asked the question about trading the Lingenfelter for the Quadrifolio and the C5Z- and Donald, Matt and Zach were very gracious with their time afterwards. Just a great group of guys.

What perfect timing staying with my grandmother and a podcast with 0 swearing due to Donald's intense classiness.

If I could have dinner with any human being alive... Donald Osborne is at the top of my list.
I love classic cars, beautiful architecture and most importantly (through some weird twists of fate) my life has taken me down a path to build a company focusing on the production of elite performing arts.
So I think we'd have plenty to talk about.
I hope to be in a position in the not too distant future where he'll be well aware of the work we're doing in the theatre world and that could be a possibility.
The networks Donald could get the attention of for us, and gaining his respect and moral support for our vision would help us gather so much steam. When you're trying to build a big machine, to produce even bigger ideas, an endorsement from a man with the knowledge, the reputation and the connections of Donald are absolutely crucial.
A dinner with him could be one of the most important conversation of my entire life. But I mostly want to, just because I think he's one of the most fascinating and sophisticated people alive and I think he'd be just as cool in person.

Very cool episode. Despite being a New England resident and auto enthusiast, I was unaware of the Audrain Museum. Will definitely rectify that next time in RI!

Wonderful conversation and look forward to the video on the drive. It may not do much for the views or algorithm but goes miles to developing true car enthusiast credibility. I only wish more in this space were as curious and open to the full range of motoring experiences.

As as european it always fascinates me greatly to learn about car culture other places in the world.
Obviously I know there's plenty of car culture in the US, but things like the Audrain I would maybe never learn of if it hadn't been for Matt and Zack going there and having a podcast about it.
Supremely informative and engaging episode, very much looking forward to you going back next year. Donald was also wonderful, clearly loving and appreciating this hobby we all share!
