Just wanted to say THANK YOU!! I have just started making and selling candles and your suggestions were spot on! I've switched from soy to parasoy and the HTP-104 wick you suggested works perfectly. l am also finding adding the fragrance at a cooler temp is working much better as well.
Yes I have! The one I'm test burning now is called Cozy Blanket and it's a warm cotton smell. It's doing very well. I also had someone to test one for me called Toasted Pumpkin that I actually put 2 wicks in. She's reporting that it smells great and is burning smoothly and clean!
Definitely give it a whirl! Everyone that I have had smell my candles and melts love T. Pumpkin the most! I do notice however the fragrance doesn't linger as long in the melts as some other fragrances. It kind of hits you all at once for about 4-5 hours and then you're kind of left with the vanilla notes. In a candle though, it's really good!
This video seriously saved my butt. I was getting so stressed over the weak HT I was getting from my wax melts (IGI 4625 wax). I was adding FO at 180° 🤦♀️ Can't thank u enough🙂
Thanks for this breakdown! I'm just diving into candle making and like any novice, did the 1lb/ 1oz ratio. My FO is Black Sea from Candlescience (which smells AMAZING and strong alone in the bottle) but I was disappointed with the HT and ready to blame the wax. (CBL-130 from a local candle supply store). I will be patient and try again with a higher FO percentage. Thanks again!
wow, you just clarified for me - I'm always blending fragrance at 185 is what instructed the manufacture for the wax I use golden 464- but hot throw must be doing what you explained because it is not strong - so thank you so much for your videos.

Hi I enjoyed watching y’all on here learning about candle making I just had a question because I’m trying to start making my on candles I bought some of the wax you recommended to use but needed help on the best fragrance oil to purchase for soy and paraffin wax any ideas
thank you for all your help. If makeing tarts or clam shells can you add extra oil to have a stronger scent since its not gonna be a candle with a flame ? thank you
Hello, first I want to thank you for your willingness to help out beginners like me. Second, could you suggest an oil provider? I see so many on Amazon and prices vary, I would very much appreciate your view.
I don’t know that this has been addressed, at least in any candle video I’ve watched. What do you do with the candles that don’t turn out with a significant hot throw? I hope I won’t have to do a lot of testing 🤞🏻 because that equates to a lot of wasted money in candle wax. I realize that’s the only way to determine the most scented and even burning candle, but I’ve had that initial question on my mind for awhile. What do you suggest beginners do with their candles that don’t meet their expectations? Is there a way to re-use the wax to continue testing, or do I just end up with a fragrance free candle? Thanks in advance for your response. Thank you for all your videos, I greatly appreciate all your tips, time, experience and tutorials.
I know I am late with this but I did have my first one come out with almost no scent so I just heated it back up pored out the wax and added more fragrance it was a little messy but not too bad and it worked for me
Hey jeff can you make a video of like a final product candle. Like when you know everything is going to be good for customer. Maybe a full burn test of a candle showing how the flame acts, what the melt pool looks like just to where your ok with the final results before shipping or selling Thanks in advance
Love the video. I commented to someone's below but in case you don't see that... the suppliers you mentioned for the "Fragrances" can you please tell me which is the cheapest priced? Also the best / cheapest for the Candle Dyes. Thank you
Fragrances are all over the place as far as price and I buy some from almost all of them. Candle Science is great, Maple Street is great and they have flat rate shipping, Lone Star Candle Supply.
Thank you so much for your videos they are super helpful. I do have one question is there any way to fix dud candles with no hot throw? Ive am a couple months in to making candles and am finding that some fragrances just don't have a good hot throw so not wanting to just throw those candles away is there any way to fix them?
Roma Lee-Daniel It’s not recommended but you could re-melt the wax and add more fragrance oil of the same type. The wax breaks down each time you melt it but you can get away with it once without little problem.
You guys are awesome! Quick Q. If I'm making a 10oz candle should I still follow the 1oz to 1lb rule? That'll leave me with extra left over. And because this is my business I can't afford to waste product. If I measured .63lb of wax that would give me 10.08oz which a little over enough for my jar. You did mention shrinkage so what would you recommend? I gave you a "like" you're awesome! Thank You!
Thank you so much for watching and the like! I appreciate it. :) For .63lb of wax you would use .63 oz or rounded to .7oz of fragrance oil. If it's easier to do I always go the pound and just pour extra into wax shot cups. They sell very easy and people love to mix them if you only end up with 2-3 of them
I’ve been using 464 with 2 oz of wax. They smell great and customers are happy but it is costing me more in FO to produce these candles. Any tips on a wax that’s similar to 464 that doesn’t need as much FO?
Thank you very much! You can add color anytime you like actually. I like to add it at the very end because it only takes seconds to melt and mix and I also like to be able to see through my wax to make sure it's fully melted. :)
Love your videos! I’m a newbie and having an issue with HT. I used 1lb of GB464 and 1oz of candlescience FO. Added oit at 185 and poured at 135. Cured for several and the HT was nonexistent. Tried a second batch this ti With 2oz of fo to 1lb of wax. And again no ht. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I’ve rear post about possibly adding coconut oil to my soy or switching to 444. Please help!
Lara Peters I just uploaded a new video using 464. Try adding your oil at 145-135 and use 2oz to 1lb. That should help a little bit for sure. I always add my oil much lower temps
What’s the best oils to make a room smell great for a while? Also what paraffin wax is the best to use? I want to make candles that make my home smell fabulous? Thx 😊
Hello , your channel is soo much help to beginners like me.....can you please help me on how to blend waxes .... I am planning to start with container candles using parasoy blend. What shall be the ratio of blending Parafin and soya , and then what should be the melting point and pouring out ? Please guide
Thanks for sharing this information. I made a batch with soy wax and find it just doesn't have a very good hot or cold throw. I think I'll switch to parasoy.
I'm not feeling soy wax any more. Years ago, I made a candle with the same kinda wax, Ecosoya cb advance, and now the scent throw is awful. Back then the scent throw was awesome. Maybe they change their recipe...and the wax smells like vinegar. I'll be testing other waxes and see what's good for me.
Hello again. I found a good site now I believe for my fragrances and starting today on making a "pumpkin color change scented candle"... the most wax (I believe Paraffin) will be 1 lb. I am so confused on so many different opinions. I am going to do the double boiler method and I have a thermometer. I see the 2 TBSP fragrance to 1 lb wax. (Making notes lol) but I believe you just said to let it cool a little before adding the fragrance. I want a nice throw (I am learning the "Candle Language" LOL ) for both hot and cold but certainly for this one... more "Hot Throw" . When I first melt the wax, could you please tell me the exact temp to melt for 1) nice glossy look and not the frosted look) 2) What should the temp be to add my fragrance (This will also be when I add my color change product so the wax will be orange and burn yellow) and 3) What temp to pour? I believe you said to just let it cool but others seem so "Strict" that there must be a temp to do this out for the candle to turn out right. I really appreciate any help you can offer. This will be my first one and my pumpkin mold is ready. Thanks so much! Hello to that Beautiful Sweet young lady beside you!
Ok, I got the plain candle made last night without anything extra ... just to practice. The candle does weigh a hair over 1 lb so I will do the 2TBSP to 1 lb wax method. Thank you so much.
Hi again.... I am looking at all of the sites and can't find plain "Lime" scent lol... Wanted to ask you what your view is on using "Essential Oil" for paraffin wax or any wax for that matter. I have watched so many videos that I can't remember if you mentioned it or not. Ty so much. Struggling to find everything for my new project. You are appreciated.
Brambleberry has a nice lime fragrance oil. 🙂 As for essential oils they don’t perform well in candles. Fragrance oils are the better option for sure. I have a video that goes into more detail about essential oils.
Thank You so much. Now.. can you please post me a link on how to pick out my wick? I am struggling. I have seen that it's based on the (Width) of your candle and not the height but I still don't know what to get. I have a candle I want to make that is 4 1/2 in" wide and one is nearly 2" wide. ---- Also.. wicks for "Gel Wax" .... Now I'm seeing you need a different wick? If you have a video explaining this to me, please post the link.. I would so appreciate it... I got nothing done today for researching lol God Bless.
This question wasn't about wicks but I did post some a time ago somewhere and did research some on them. This was your views on "Eseential Oils" as I am seeing a great deal about them not working and wanted to know your view on it. If you have a video about using EO's.. will you please post the link for me? Thank You so much.
The second question above asked about picking wicks,I thought that was the one you were asking about. As for essential oils I have a video in my library that goes into some more detail. ruclips.net/video/BBqewhWgUxk/видео.html
Hi! I've started an ECO idea of selling an organic beeswax candles and lavender but i have had a problem with the hot throw. How can I solve it? The candles that I've made have a strong cold throw but when burning they don't smell at all. What do you recommend to focus on? Maybe it's the temperature when I add essential oil from lavender? On what precise temperature should I add the essential oil for the beeswax candles? Thank you so much, I've learned a lot from you!
Hi! Your vids are always so helpful. I’m using soy 444 how long would you cure for a good HT? Is 24/48 enough to at least test? Do you get a different HT with a wood wick then a regular cotton&paper wick? Thanks so much
daysi dedios For all soy I wait at least 3-4 days to test them just because the wax I do soft. I like to make sure it’s hardened before I light. For curing I typically cure 8-10 days. They’re done before that time but i figure a couple more days won’t hurt. As for wood wicks they burn a little hotter so you get a larger melt pool which in turn throws a little stronger. But a larger cotton wick than you’d normally out in a jar can produce the same results.
daysi dedios I love Candke Science because they’re so close for shipping and they make great oils. Maple Street is on the east coast and they offer rear oils and great shipping prices for oils. Lone star candle is awesome and Aztec. EO’s aren’t really great for candles but I do add them occasionally for accent on cold throw. I get a lot of mike through Amazon.
Interesting video thank you so much , im trying to make wax scented taplet for decoration and i want it to really hold on the smell , is it the same technique you did ?
great video thank you so much for the information!! i am trying to make a votive candle with just paraffin (i use 70% A60 and 30% 3220 which are a hard one and o soft one together) my candle wights about 400gr but i cant make it to smell! can you please tell me the ratio for votive candles in grams?? thanks again!
Betty Antonopoulou You typically add about 10% oil. How much wax are you heating at a time? What’s the weight before you pour them and also what temperature are you adding oil?
Betty Antonopoulou Ok that makes sense. I converted 400g to ounces and it’s around 14oz which is way too big for a votive so pillar makes sense. For that amount I would add anywhere from 1.2oz-1.4oz of oil. About 34g of oil
I'm hoping you can answer my question... the 1oz fragrance per 1lb of wax is pretty standard but it that 1 fluid ounce or 1 ounce by weight? For example, some people actually weigh out 1oz of fragrance and some people just dump in the entire 1oz bottle of fragrance. Thanks in advance!
Pretty sure you already found your answer but since I too was looking for this exact q&a I figured I'd chime in just in case anyone else was wondering the same thing. It would be easier to calculate by percentage and it wouldn't really matter what unit of measurement you're using if you're looking for the percentage as long as you use the same for your wax and fragrance. i.e. 10% of fragrance for 1 lb. of wax is 0.1 lbs. of fragrance oil. If you want ounces you'd just have to convert that so 10% of 16 oz. = 1.6 oz. (weight) of fragrance oil and so on.
Hello! If I want to make two 9 oz candles (18oz of lone star C-3 soy wax) how much fragrance oil should I use? And at what temperature should I add it?
Hello. Can anybody help me? I changed my wick 3 time's I am making 4oz and 8oz candles and each time I cannot figure out why my candles have a very strong cold throw but not hot throw 😔 I tried everything.....changing the temperatures to add frangrance I am at a standstill with my business.
i liked your vid iam a first timer like to know what exactly type of wax i should buy i didnt catch all of what your saying can a stick with soy or another for a strong scent?
Hi! I found you from one of your reviews on Candle science and I’ve loved watching your videos. Very thorough and informative! Just one quick question, does it matter what you stir the wax with as its melting?
I’m having issues with the hot throw when making candles. It smells great when I’m making the candles but once I let it sit, it comes off much weaker. Do you suggest I add more FO? I’m using 9-10% at the moment. Wax I’m using is coco apricot cream
I am new making candles and I don't know what I am doing wrong my candles they don't have any hot scent throw. I'm using soy wax 464 tried with different fragrances from aztec, maple street, science candle tested with 3 different cotton wicks and adding fragrances at different temperatures 180, 135 and same result "No scent throw" . I used 1oz of fragrance on my firsts candles then tried 1.5 oz but this didn't help.
Alma Gutierrez 464 has had some issues the past few months and I think it may be fixed now. A lot of bad reviews for it lately. I use the low temp method for my soy and I get much better results. You might try a batch using the low temp method. Heat to melted, add your fragrance oil at 115, stir and pour.
I had the exact same issue with 464. Absolutely no hot or cold throw, no matter what I did. I switched to the Ecosoya Q10 and it’s so easy to work with. No sink holes or craters. But the downfall with that one was that you needed a higher fragrance load, which means more money on fragrances. Finally, despite all the bad rap it gets, I just switched to para/soy. Amazing cold and hot throw with 10% fragrance load and looks smooth and silky. I’ll just have to educate customers about the facts of paraffin and that it’s not as bad as they think.
Hello, I love all your videos and learned so much. I appreciate it. I will be starting my “test” candles soon. I’m going with soy wax. I went to candle science website. Can I still use their fragrance oils the same, 1lb of wax/ 1oz of fragrance oil? Nothing but blessings and positive vibes to you and your family 🙌🏼
Just want to ask you guys this. Is it common to see frosting on soy wax? The white "frosted" looking areas on soy wax melts from time to time. Not sure if you're familiar with soy wax, paraffin etc. But I'm just curious about the frosting on soy and how to prevent that. I've read and been told by experts to pour at a lower temp, but I still see the frosting occur from time to time. Thanks!
It happens and from personal experience seems to be more common with soy than with parasoy or paraffin. the best things I have seen to avoid getting frosting is to heat the wax all the way to 180, this helps burn off any impurities that may be in the waax, water, dust, etc. Pouring at a lower temperature and even mixing less forcefully has been said to help. I've gotten this only a few times and I could not narrow it down to one specific thing that made it do it. :)
For 464 wax whats the lowest temp u can add fragrance oil To get a really strong hot throw?Candle science says u the wax can take up to 10% I melt my wax to 189 temp is tht too hot?
So I heated preformulated 1 pound of paraffin to 175 took it off heat, and added dye then fragrance oil, l stirred very well. Let sit until 150 to 155 and poured. Samples out and people say no strong hot throw. P.S they all love the shhh scentsy. So do I have to double to 2 Oz or different temps? Also just wax melts. I give out 1 Oz samples.
Hi Jeff , so 1 pound of soy wax can add 1 oz of FO ? And how much color dye into 1 pound of wax Jeff can you use? 1 pound of 464 wax i only can make 3 jar of the 8 oz
Hey Jeff. I'm in the research phase of candle making, I'm also apart of your fb group. My question is, what is the formula that is use to figure out percentages of fo. In the video you were saying 6% which is 1 oz to 1 pound? But what is the 6% part of? If I'm making sense
I have made some Soy candles recently and bought the wrong wick....what do you suggest for soy wax candles for a wick? When I run out of soy wax, I'd like to try the parasoy wax.
Hello sorry to ask, but where do you buy your jars, because i just got into candles and I'm making them for our market night at school to fundraise for our school trip.
@@StandleyHandcrafted like rose infused oils or coffee infused oil? Carrier oils like sunflower oil.. Olive oils are used to make infused oils! For stronger infusion we can use less oil and more of coffee or rose or whatever we would like to infuse. U can google them up for recipes.. It's just that can we use them or not, I want to know. Coz carrier oils might have a lot of effect on candles. Lemme know what do u think.
I had an issue with One of my recent candles not setting it's been sitting for several days and the wax is still soft I use 100% bees wax but cannot figure out what could have gone wrong compared to the first few I have made could it be from me adding too much fragrance oil ?
Question about a supplier: I have been looking at Bramble Berry's fragrance oils and it seems most people in the review section are talking out how they smell in soaps only. Are their fragrance oils good for candles?
Shiany Aguero Just basic mixing for me. I will just mix and test what I think I want and what will smell good. I have a vanilla cinnamon that I only mix about 25% cinnamon donuts a light addition.
I just started making candles and I get my fragrance from candle science and it’s been almost two weeks and I can’t smell nothing and I added fragrance at 180 and I used 464 soy I have messed up a whole box of candles I can’t sell them I been burning the candle all night and nothing wick cd 12 what do I need to do
Is there a particular company you use that sell scents for the candles. I got my scents from hobby lobby and in order for me to actually smell the scent, I have to put a lot in the wax in order for it to smell.
Candles Science, Aztec Candles, Maple Street, Lone Star Candle Supply are all great options with very nice fragrance oils. Places like Hobby Lobby and Micheals don't have the greatest options for oils, they're also much more expensive. :)
Standley Handcrafted thanks, I was really struggling with the scents....thanks...one more question, is soy wax the best option to use for scented Candles?
As far as clean burning yes, but as far as hot throw or nice and strong smell it would be paraffin. Parrafin, then a soy and paraffin blend then soy. Soy is a tricky one too, one of the harder waxes to master in the beginning for sure. That will also account for a weaker hot throw.
Hi, I am having an issue with my scent throws. I made a few successful candles but I increased the amount of wax to 2 lbs of wax and 4 oz of oil. And the throw is not strong like the 1lb wax and 1 oz oil. Burn pool is even, wick is burning well. What could be wrong?
Hi guys ur channel is so informing but I really want to start my own candles but I don’t have the foggiest idea we’re to start I really feel this is something wanted to achieve in Business and because I love candles can you help me in anyway thanks for ur time love from Ireland xxx
Hey....I know that this is an old video but I’m curious about a rule for adding a combination of fragrances. If you are saying that I should follow a 6% rule or 1 ounce of fragrance for 1 pound of soy wax, how does that change if I wanted to blend 2 fragrances?
Standley Handcrafted The flame burns high in my opinion and there’s usually 1/2” of liquid while it’s burning. I’ve used Eco 10 before as well. I have never tried the HTP wicks. Maybe I will order some samples and see what happens...thanks for your speedy response 💕
1/2 inch is pretty big. Have you tried to wick down one and see how it does?I use the HTP in the 8oz jars and they work well. You can use the wick below the 104 as well but it leaves a touch of wax on the sides.
Hi I am looking for the best and easiest wax to work with I am new at this can you please. You said you use parasoya wax. I like the creamy look which I find doesn’t have as much in soya so what to do?

With 2oz of fo to 1lb of wax.
Standley Handcrafted thanks for the advice. I will try your method.
This is the question I was talking about.
Ok, I got the plain candle made last night without anything extra ... just to practice. The candle does weigh a hair over 1 lb so I will do the 2TBSP to 1 lb wax method. Thank you so much.
Hi I always use a 8oz jars to make candle an use 10 ml of essential oils that the right amount I am using
Hi again....
As for essential oils they don’t perform well in candles.
Journey Storm Candle science actually has a great wick guide that show the proper wick and diameters

Standley Handcrafted thanks so much! Is there a site or brand you recommend for FO or EO?
daysi dedios I love Candke Science because they’re so close for shipping and they make great oils. Maple Street is on the east coast and they offer rear oils and great shipping prices for oils.
Lone star candle is awesome and Aztec.
EO’s aren’t really great for candles but I do add them occasionally for accent on cold throw. I get a lot of mike through Amazon.
Nvm I just saw the answer on another one of your videos. Thanks again
What’s the weight before you pour them and also what temperature are you adding oil?
i am sorry i made a mistake its a pillar candle the one that i have not votive! sorry and looking forward your answer!thanks again!!
Jessica Pearson if I have the 1oz sample bottles I pour the entire thing in. If I have the large bottles I weigh one fluid ounce
If your candles create a fragrance pool at the top, is it a complete loss or is there a way to salvage the wax and oil?
Hello! If I want to make two 9 oz candles (18oz of lone star C-3 soy wax) how much fragrance oil should I use? And at what temperature should I add it?
Have you used vegetable Stearic acid in your soy candles?
Hello. Can anybody help me? I changed my wick 3 time's
I am making 4oz and 8oz candles and each time I cannot figure out why my candles have a very strong cold throw but not hot throw 😔 I tried everything.....changing the temperatures to add frangrance I am at a standstill with my business.
I have the same problem 😔 could you find a solution?
@@bilgeakcay sorry hun didnt find a solution I'm still trying!!
Feva would do the calculations for the fragrance to candle wax ratio would also by a digital scale and weigh in grams
@@danicecharles6628 thank you, find the solution. My wick was wrong, i'm cool since i switched to woodden wicks.
Feva glad you found a solution 😊
i liked your vid iam a first timer like to know what exactly type of wax i should buy i didnt catch all of what your saying can a stick with soy or another for a strong scent?
Hi! I found you from one of your reviews on Candle science and I’ve loved watching your videos. Very thorough and informative! Just one quick question, does it matter what you stir the wax with as its melting?
Samantha Haley It doesn’t matter too much. I don’t use wood of course, it can absorb wax and oil. I use silicone spoons and metal occasionally.
Thank you so much for the information I really appreciate it I'm a beginner Candle Maker
Thank you for watching!
Do you have a video showing how to make a multi sented candle, if not could you make one please 😇
Agena Biggerstaff I don’t buy I will make one! Thank you for the suggestion. 🙂
How do you know if the fragrance is an 8% oil?
how about the first video on how to use fubar candle additive.i cant find any instructions on this subject thanks don
I’m using the 8oz jelly jar soy wax candles
Thank you so much for the video! I am learning alot, But I have a question have ordered any fragrance or wax from the flaming candle?
I haven't tried anything from Flaming Candle yet.
Standley Handcrafted thank you!
I have. That’s the only place I order from.
How do you measure the percentage of fragrance oil that goes in the candle?
Which natural wax blend has the strongest hot throw? Ya know if you wanna promote "all natural" but have it smell as strong as Bath and Body.
Which fragrance oils are good with allergies? Like what scents would you recommend if someone gets headaches ?
So I heated preformulated 1 pound of paraffin to 175 took it off heat, and added dye then fragrance oil, l stirred very well. Let sit until 150 to 155 and poured. Samples out and people say no strong hot throw. P.S they all love the shhh scentsy. So do I have to double to 2 Oz or different temps? Also just wax melts. I give out 1 Oz samples.
Melissa P how much fragrance oil did you use?
Hi Jeff , so 1 pound of soy wax can add 1 oz of FO ? And how much color dye into 1 pound of wax Jeff can you use? 1 pound of 464 wax i only can make 3 jar of the 8 oz
Hey Jeff. I'm in the research phase of candle making, I'm also apart of your fb group. My question is, what is the formula that is use to figure out percentages of fo. In the video you were saying 6% which is 1 oz to 1 pound? But what is the 6% part of? If I'm making sense
There are 6 teaspoons in an ounce, and 16 ounces in a pound. 96 divided by 16=6.
Well said thank u I am a beginner
Any experience or thoughts on adding vybar to a 464 soy wax for increased scent throw?
Thanks - love the videos!
I am going to grab some vybar to test it out and review
I have made some Soy candles recently and bought the wrong wick....what do you suggest for soy wax candles for a wick? When I run out of soy wax, I'd like to try the parasoy wax.
When you mentioned that it is best to add around 180-110 degrees in one of your videos, is it in Celsius or Fahrenheit?
Fahrenheit
Hello sorry to ask, but where do you buy your jars, because i just got into candles and I'm making them for our market night at school to fundraise for our school trip.
Etina Vea Candle Science has some great ones!
Standley Handcrafted I tried but they can't ship to New Zealand
Etina Vea I'm not sure who ships to New Zealand. 🙂
Hello what wax you use in 8oz tin can and how much frangrances and best wick want smell strong thanks
Hey... Can I use infused oils instead of fragrance oils? Will tht give as better smell as the fragrance oils?
Poojapurna Bodagala What type of infused oils?
@@StandleyHandcrafted like rose infused oils or coffee infused oil? Carrier oils like sunflower oil.. Olive oils are used to make infused oils! For stronger infusion we can use less oil and more of coffee or rose or whatever we would like to infuse. U can google them up for recipes.. It's just that can we use them or not, I want to know. Coz carrier oils might have a lot of effect on candles. Lemme know what do u think.
@@poojapurna OK, I have seen those but have not tried to make any myself yet.
Are their fragrance oils good for candles?
keyon huggins I’ve used their oils and have never had issues.
I would also check out Lone Star and Candle Science for nice oils.
@@StandleyHandcrafted thank you
So how do you that and prevent the wax from cooling down as it hits the mold?
Not sure what you mean.
Hi! How would I go about mixing scents. Is it just simple math or is there a specific way of adding and mixing them?
Standley Handcrafted would mixing the two be a good option
As long as they're both container blends that's a great option! That way you can create the blend you prefer. More soy or more paraffin.
Hi again, what type of wick do you use for your para-soy wax? Thanks
coupon_rican_diva I use an HTP wick 🙂
Thank you for your reply, You are AWESOME :0)
Hi, I am having an issue with my scent throws. I made a few successful candles but I increased the amount of wax to 2 lbs of wax and 4 oz of oil. And the throw is not strong like the 1lb wax and 1 oz oil. Burn pool is even, wick is burning well. What could be wrong?
What type of wax is it and what temperature did you add the FO?
Thanks for your info.
I am having problems choosing the proper wick. I’m using an 8oz jelly jar with eco 6” wick but I think it’s burning too fast...
How quickly is it going through a candle i would think that wick would be a little small.
Standley Handcrafted thank you so much ! I ordered the HTP 104 wicks today for my 8oz jelly jars. I will keep you posted! Thanks again
Does the amount of color added to the parasoy effect the scent throw? I feel like when I use color it reduces the fragrance.
Can I use essential oils instead of fragrance oils?
No
Hi, If I want to add Vybar 260 to my mix, at which point should I add it and at what temperature? Thank you
Very helpful! Thanks!
Is that your daughter? Has to be cause that's your twin!
thanks for the great vids!
Is that 6% of any size or only to measure out 1 pound to 1 ounce? As I am making a smaller batch
Hi I am looking for the best and easiest wax to work with I am new at this can you please. You said you use parasoya wax. I like the creamy look which I find doesn’t have as much in soya so what to do?
Is that 10ml fragrance to 100ml of candle wax please as I don’t understand oz pound etc
Yes that would be the conversion. :)
Where do you get your labels? I’ve been trying to find some and I can’t find one anywhere
use avery.com
Can you tell me the best place to buy my containers and f/o?
It seems to be really expensive as you try to scale these supplies.
Thanks
Ron
Ronald Hiott I got my containers from dollar tree and hobby lobby under $2
Hey, I love all your advise and videos. What parasoy wax do you use? 😊
Thank you! I love the IGI6006
Hi would you use the same method for wax Melts?
What about parasoy what is the max have you used.
For parasoy I add around 1.6oz of oil to 1lb of wax
