I wrote this band off because of being a music snob and never bothered to listen to them. I thought no one could touch Tool, then one day on a car ride with a friend I considered a nerd, he put this song on and I said to myself “What the fuck did I just listen to?” I went home and watched the live version at the Starland Ballroom and was blown away to see Claudio singing while playing these incredibly technical riffs. Started listening to the whole album and realized this band has everything I’ve ever wanted from a rock band. Hands down the most creative and complex band I’ve ever heard to this day. I could go on for hours describing why they are the greatest rock band of all time, but I’ll leave it here.
Yeah the crowd participation really makes this song, which is no surprise because it's how the chorus was written. This is my idea of a perfect song to see at a show.
Claudio and the whole band performance so great all the time and always sounds same as the recorded unlike any other bands that deny to play some of their song on live due to different outcome and difficulties on live
That part of that song is automatic to sing along for the fans and dont want to waste that epic chance to sing in unison with every people in the venue disregarding color skin, rich or poor just pure unity
Awalker, he seems awkward playing in odd-time signatures? Have you ever heard Dillenger Escape plan? Josh can not hold a candle to Chris Pennie. I would love to see Josh write something a long the lines of "Panasonic Youth".
yeah i agree, Josh is a great all around musician, and Pennie is definitely more technical than Josh, but I like Josh's stuff better. He just has a feel, in my opinion
I know what you mean, you mean the groove of the first three albums. No, indeed, chris isn't as much in that groove as josh was, but since NWFT the groove has changed, and chris is very much a part of that...
I completely understand that this is a "crowd song" but there is no need for them to be that loud throughout the whole song, terrible mixing idea. Have them loud at the ending maybe yeah.

...i love how near the end when claudio hears eveyone sing along he smiles...
Always amazes me that this song by Coheed isn't bigger than Welcome Home in terms of general popularity.
So badass in the lowered tuning
Seen them live yesterday and when the played this song the whole crowd went crazy :D
Fuckin amazing! These guys are awesome live!
this video is gunna be on vh1 in like twenty years on one of their top 40 specials. Rock anthem 100% balls out.
wow....ive never been speechless from a performance that i wasn't physically at...just wow
The last part of the song is absolutely amazing, when the crowd is singing and not Claudio. I love the energy Coheed brings to the fans.
I love how they play this song like it owes them money...the whole band attacks it in such a vicious fashion, and it's amazing.
I dont know what it is but this is the first live performance ive seen all the crowd surfers make sure they sing a long too 🤣
Them playing this in a lower tuning is so amazing
i get goosebumbs when the crown starts singing at 6:50 and when i hear it on the record. ITS SO EPIC!
I never really gave this band a chance but I'm impressed.
Could be one of the most epic things known to man.
i wish i was there. i always get chills up and down my spine every time i hear this song.
I went to there concert it was allsome
Love this song, especially this version. I can't even listen to the album version anymore. This one is just way too amazing.

dang this song is just amazing, i love this Cd, and hell Neverender special edition was so worth the money
Whatever happens between Coheed and the audience at 6:55 is my definition of music
to make a crowd chant together like that is magic.
I TEAR UP EVERY TIME!
The first time I got to experience this while in the crowd was almost like a religious experience.
@@ben94gt same here. I felt weightless, breathless in that moment.
@@annmariegrant4037 less than two weeks and I get to experience this as well finally
Claudio and the whole band performance so great all the time and always sounds same as the recorded unlike any other bands that deny to play some of their song on live due to different outcome and difficulties on live

Awalker, he seems awkward playing in odd-time signatures? Have you ever heard Dillenger Escape plan? Josh can not hold a candle to Chris Pennie. I would love to see Josh write something a long the lines of "Panasonic Youth".
Claudio could lead a war cry into any battle
yeah, i was there.. face
2025, here we are...
yeah i agree, Josh is a great all around musician, and Pennie is definitely more technical than Josh, but I like Josh's stuff better. He just has a feel, in my opinion
@rotoroto200 Arguably the dumbest statement ever. Even people that don't care for their music at least appreciate how awesome the live show is.
I know what you mean, you mean the groove of the first three albums. No, indeed, chris isn't as much in that groove as josh was, but since NWFT the groove has changed, and chris is very much a part of that...
Alot of it is mic too
3 people can't keep secrets of Silent Earth:3
chris pennie needs some hair
1 person didn't man his battlestation.
