mmm, I see where you're coming from, but he's definately playing slap. It's amazing how fluid he is, it may not be your normal funk style slap bass, but his tecnique involves 'slapping' and plucking, it's impossible to say that it's one or the other, but it's definately both.
dont wanna sound stupid cause i know im not but heres how u can tell a few differences from this any NY... first off i saw ppl in this vid that i saw at the concert i went to.... second off look at the backround tv's lined by a frame..... not like that in NY... third off this is a smaller venue than NY..... idk... believe me or dont but i DEFINATLY recognize that guy i posted about at 5:18.... dreadlock haired kid with a bandana.... saw him at every show
live at starland was a way better performance in my opinion. not that this was bad at all but the drums and just too perfected. it was better at starland cuz it was more raw and better energy. just sayin
