Organizing the November 2023 Jesse James Beads Magical Mystery Bead Box

- Not every box in a bead subscription will be a winner. There are some good bead mixes in this month's box & I like having so much chain to play with, but I was less enthused to get a strand with the poorest quality glass pearl beads I've ever used. The coating should not come away when barely scratched with a fingernail. On top of that, some of the bead mixes were ones I've seen before. Hopeful we'll get something new in the next box.

I applaud you for actually giving your honest opinion, and for pointing out the quality issues. I watched an unboxing on another channel and thought it looked like they threw the stuff they wanted to clear out in a box and called it good. That’s unacceptable for a subscription at that price point. The other reviewer raved about how wonderful the box was and glossed over things that were clearly damaged. Very off putting. I used to be a huge fan of JJB, but have not purchased from them in over a year. Anyway, I love your organizing videos and just wanted to put it out there that I appreciate your honestly. ❤
I'd rather be honest. They do actually have a "clear out the warehouse" type box you can purchase & I've gotten that a couple of times. The subscription box wasn't supposed to be like that. There's another bead company that sometimes offers grab bags of beads with purchase or for a discount & it's clear those are also "clear out the warehouse" bags. I stopped getting those when they sent me a half-finished wrap bracelet. I didn't want someone's discarded project, especially one that didn't even come with the things I'd need to finish it.
I loved this video and your honest opinion. I'm so glad to hear (and read) that I want the only person disappointed in this box. Your Swarovski set was way better than mine. I got 2 blue cubes and 4 tiny matching bicones. It honestly felt like a rip. I feel like the strands I buy at Walmart are much better than what they give in this pricey sub box. Enjoyed your unboxing and sorting, though. Good vibes!
I'm sorry that yours was disappointing too. I'm not sure that I'll get around to making anything specifically with this box, though I might add the little gingerbread man beads to my Softflex kit since I got some of them in that one, too.
An honest overview of these bead boxes is appreciated. I quit getting the JJB MMB several months back. TY Beki Burrito!

summer camp was fun, but i thought the beads for winter camp kinda sucked! lots of great non-tarnish wire (much appreciated!) and nice tierra cast findings. some interesting/challenging projects, but lousy beads! Jem got some nice things for her projects... @@msharno1

Beki - i was laughing out loud when you were cussing trying to get those jars open! I think your sorting goes better when you take all the beads out on the mat and then put them all away. At least JJB put a lot of things in the box (even if some were a little crappy & none appeared new except that janky bead mix)
LOL! It was just a little more difficult than it needed to be. They Beki-proofed the bead mix! There were really a lot of thing in this box. I couldn't fit it all into my organizer!
I have never gotten JJB subscription and I never will . I bought some of their Windows Boxes from Wal-Mart and from those bead sets I already knew that some of their items were not very good. I made a few items from those sets but I would never sell them. They are as they say you get what you pay for. They are cute for school girls or just little girls who want to make jewelry and for moms that may not want to let them create with the more expensive beads. So any how sorry that some of the items were not up to standard. Overall not bad I suppose. As always thanks for sharing🤗 Syndy
I think there are more acrylic beads in the Wal Mart bead boxes than in the subscription boxes, but it does feel like the quality has been trending southward for a while.
I find Bargain Bead Box subscription beats JJB at half the price, not to mention the absolutely best customer service in this beading world!

Sucks about that pearl strand because its a really pretty color. Overall I thought there was a lot of variety of materials and colors to work with in this box. I had purchased a handful of these boxes a year or so ago and I'm embarassed to say that they're still sitting untouched on my shelf 😮. I'm really bad at doing that.
It's really easy to unbox and then move on to something else. I do like the color of the pearls I just wish the finish was better. Maybe I can use them as a base for a beaded bead? Then the dodgy coating wouldn't be as obvious.

They did redeem themselves in the December bead box! I'm glad I didn't cancel my subscription after all.
They’re bright, but they’re cheap looking. I ordered once, but I create for myself to wear and I ended up using a few beads for earrings and nothing else. Gave the rest to a friend who has grandkids. Never ordered again.
The pearl strand, no bueno. Quality control lacking.
That's my 1st time getting one of the pantone pearl strands, and I don't think I'm going to buying any after that.
I didn’t renew my yearly subscription when it ran out. I’m happy that I didn’t…they’re not the same quality or cohesive mixes as when I got my first boxes
I keep waiting for them to be less chaotic.
