i’m chinese indonesian and i feel the same way. they look quite different from SEA chinese

cantoneses and fujianeses are more like vietnamese or japanese .they are the darkest skin and biggest mouth ,nose but Shortest height in china

I would think East Asian beauty standards are fairly similar but it would be an interesting video series for you to do comparison street interviews between the Japanese and Chinese public. Like come up with a series of topics to ask next time you're back in Japan then the same questions in China and present them together to compare and contrast cultures.

I think most Asian women are pretty. Since I am an American man I feel I can say my next thoughts. Alot, maybe half of American women think way to much of themselves. It really is tough to think that way. I was taught to have a sense of humility. We are all only human. It's okay when someone thinks and saids we look good but it doesn't seem that way if we say it of ourselves. I don't believe in bragging about anything for I am only human. Have a great day.

Well, yes, but not in Chinese beauty standard. I can relate to both Chinese and western beauty standards so I can understand both sides, and those girls, being attractive in western standards, would not be considered beautiful to most Chinese.

My sister (sorry to say it sis) is below average for an Asian, but she said British/English/Irish/Scottish men were salivating over her when she lived there. She and I have never quite pinned down the reasons why the huge disparity that White/Western males announce their attraction to Asian females over say Black females.

Most Asians tend to be modest... modesty is an attractive attribute itself, most of the girls interviewed were very pretty and beautiful.... theres nothing wrong with confidence and being confident.....
But is it only me that found the girls that gave themselves low scores more attractive? maybe more relateable to me? does that say more about me than them lol?
the first girl that gave herself a 3 was immediately very confident in giving herself a 3 and was thus to me very sure and very confident and not embarrassed or ashamed or swayed by anyone elses opinion.... and that made her very attractive for example

In China, it is not common for girls to undergo plastic surgery because the cost of the surgery is too expensive. Of course, except for those girls who don't lack money

All of these women are very beautiful, including the woman conducting the interviews. I think all of us are taught to downplay our appearance, or we are not told very often how beautiful we are. People are uncomfortable talking about their appearance. Instead we are taught to always compare ourselves with others.
