Hi Joanne, depending on your climate I'd say every 6 mos to 12mos. It makes a huge difference!

My new landlady was humiliating me because I could not open the front door. Very lucky in this one, angel in her family came and used WD2 on door lock and Wella. It opened like magic. I have never had that happen to me with a house key...even had a new key made just in case
