The metal detector crescendo has become one of those that I reaaaally hate, just like the forklift & alleyways of Death Toll and the stadium gates in Dark Carnival.
I was just playing the gates crescendo in Dark Carnival when a Hunter got the drop on me and incaped me even tho I was with my team, the horde was so intense that even when they got the Hunter off me the amount of infected made it impossible for one AI to pick me up since there was just a big pile of zombies mauling me down. @@soulstalker4624 I've played L4D2 for over 2k hours, and even when you are well prepared, a lot of things can go wrong in that crescendo, and it almost always comes down to special infected spawns. My second favorite campaign. Also the plane we saw in the beginning and the one that crashed at the end are not the same. I think the C-130 from the beginning and rescue vehicle are the same. The plane that crashes is just a random passenger plane that has infected people on board and when it was coming in for a landing, the pilot was attacked by an infected passenger and crashed, which killed everyone in the plane and possibly vaporized their bodies.
Dead Air was always my favourite. Mostly because of the gunfire heard in the distance, the crashing plane set piece and the wide open area to hold out in at the final crecendo. It feels like the closest you'll ever get to living civilisation.
I always enjoyed chapter 4 the most because of the constant difficulty and stress. You really feel like you're fighting for your life when you go through the metal detector
Oh gods, I remember playing this in single player one particular time. Zoey fell off the roof to her death, and landed on one of those pillars, making it impossible for me to defib her.
Remember the Machinima in Dead Air, Zoey got fell in the building because of the infected tank but Zoey dream herself I'm the campaign called Last stand and his friend died. Zoey woke up herself and she heard screaming his friend.
16:33 This isnt the same plane from the beginning of the campaign as it's a jet powered passenger plane and the one we need to fill up is the one that flew over the greenhouse.
You sure that's not the surrounding infected? They scream and make noises too while idle. Also, how could you possibly hear people on a moving plane with its engines gunning?
There's a bill voice line at the start of the campaign that says "a c190 flies just fine" referring to the plane that's flying above them, a military plane, the one that's on the airport when you get there. Besides it would be hilarious if a plane made it at the same time that four people on foot to an airport
One of the best part I love about dead air is the escape plane, when you finally Escape it gives you a beautiful cinematic of the plane taking off while horde of zombies Chasing After You(depending if you gather enough zombies) it's a shame that the ported versions stop the infected from chasing you after you escape.
Did you know you can actually break that statue of the man holding the globe? I tried it in L4D1 out of boredom, and it (eventually) worked. The globe fell and crushed me.
The plane from the beginning of the campaign was the AC 130 parked there that you fly away in. That plane had propeller engines but this one has jet engines, it is mostly likely a civilian aircraft trying to find sanctuary but the pilots might have been overthrown by an infected passenger.
Absolutely LOATHE Dead Air. Zombies and airports is a big fat NO for me. That terminal run is a death sentence. Also Zach, don't forget about the cut campaign Dam It that bridges the gap between Dead Air and Blood Harvest.
CashAkDude well yeah. I end up wanting to make it a bit further before throwing it so that we're closer to the safe room. Especially now that I'm into vs mode.
I actually want to note that the terminal run in L4D2 did not exist in L4D1 in fact the metal detector used as a trigger for the horde (which in L4D1 can be triggered over and over and over again) was completely avoidable, Valve obviously made note of what the community back in L4D1 was doing and made sure it wasn't avoidable when the campaign was ported over and to avoid people triggering the horde over and over they made it a gauntlet event instead of the standard hold off event.
Ahunterpenguin The tech penguin then how the hell am I supposed to get better at it if I don't play it more? Despite my dislike for that particular part of the campaign, it doesn't mean I don't have the right to not complain about it.
14:53 once a tank hit that Atlas(a titan holding the earth) so that the globe rolled towards the metal detector and blocked the only path forward. Had to restart...
Reason this is my favorite is the atmosphere, dark, everything is burning and ashes falling everywhere, definitely apocalypse vibes, plus for some unknown reason I actually like airports
17:32 The new norm camping spot you speak of in the original Left 4 Dead had a nearby closet the survivors could use as a choke-point against the infected. This closet was removed in Left 4 Dead 2 for balance, but if it had remained. A Spitter could easily force them out of it
The Atlas statue holding the globe can be hit by a tank so the globe starts rolling. One time when I was playing Dead Air a tank hit the globe and it blocked the gate so we had to restart the level. I was so mad.
Also about the plane crash. NO! It is NOT the plane from the beginning. The plane from the beginning is the same model and same plane as escape one. Also its a prop plane instead of the jet crash. A c130 vs a boeing series. Come on man

do you guys recon one of the l4d2 campaigns happens BEFORE (chronologicaly speaking) the last l4d campaign the sacrifice? (the sacrifice finale is 100% getting a 5/5 im calling it right now seems pretty obvious)but it kinda feels like the first l4d2 campaign could possibly happen BEFORE bill sacrifices himself. what do you think?
i actually doubt a long time has passed: -the l4d1 characters don't want to lower the bridge and there were no supllies anywhere, when they went on it. so i don't think they stayed on it for long. -you CAN see bill's corpse, but he is nowhere near decaying, and none of they characters make any remark about the smell (although i guess they could be used to it, but they do notice the sewer's smell.) -we don't know how long has passed from the moment the l4d2 survivors left the mall, but we DO know that it was daytime, dusk at latest. while the sacrifice happens entrily at night. and again, i don't think they would've stayed this long up there without any supplies (not saying they would die, but they could've lowered the bridge to explore the town and collect supplies, but they didn't do it because "we went through a lot of trouble to get it back up".) so it is possible that it happened right before. what do you think?
I dont think that the plane in the beginning is the one that crashes in the finale because the first one is a propeller plane while the crashed one is a jet engine plane but the plane that rescues the survivors is also a propeller plane
The first time i played this chapter i manage to get to the boat but the others was surrounding by zombies so i had 2 options (help them or wait for them) and i chose to go and help them, but after i did this i enter the house to get more ammo and suddenly i found myself surrounding by zombies and a tank if i'm not mistaken and what's more i was alone and the others have made it to the boat after i helped them, after this they escape and Francis (the survivor i was playing at it) stay and didn't make it. And by this i sacrifice myself to save the others, if only i didn't go to get more ammo i may be able to survive them the rest
like i said during the stream, if that airplane that crashed was from the beginning, it would be going extremely slow if the survivors were able to catch up to it.
