    Good tips but I think one piece that is missing is that a lot of these therapy principles are contingent on religious beliefs. How do you evaluate yourself without an underlying structure of belief? When it comes to self-improvement, for example, Philosopher Thomas Aquinas laid out that the concept of gradation (changes or degrees) implies that there is a best (God), or else how can we become better (closer to being best)?
    Psychologist Johnathan Haidt's book states that one of the five activities that have an inverse relationship with depression is attending religious services.
