When actors pass you think of the great roles they played, musicians, the music they wrote and you remember them for that. But Betty, wow..she was human light and music. For her loss you definitely shed tears.

Her family says she went to bed and went to sleep and that was all. Her family had been with her and she simply just went to sleep forever. All I can say is if I get to live even a portion of what's left of my life with passion and humor and humility and kindness that she did and make it to 99 years old continuing to do those things and to pass peacefully in my sleep I can't think of a better life.

She’s finally home with Allen! They are rejoicing together, but it still is devastating here on earth. It was so weird this morning I woke up with her on my brain. I was in a Betty White RUclips rabbit hole. After about 2 hours of watching her life, and ordering tickets to her movie on her birthday… an alert popped up on my phone that she passed. I will miss her so much. A woman I’ve never met, but today I feel like I lost a family member.
It's been 40 years since she lost Allen so I certainly hope they're having a glass of champagne as I type. That's a long time to wait. I guess we all felt like she'd never leave us and she will be sorely missed.

A warm tribute Graeme. Betty was in her early 60's when I was born. I'm both happy and saddened by the news. One of my favorite moments was her AFI musical number to Morgan Freeman. The things her "Sue Ann" character.would say on the MTM show was uniquely funny. I never met Betty, but my memories will always keep her (positive outlook of life), alive in my smiling heart.
We have her on film, to help us carry on her legacy. I was sad when I heard the news of her passing but I think she wanted to celebrate her 100th Birthday with her husband Allan Luden. She was a trailblazer a pioneer she was unafraid in a time where women were supposed to be demere and obedient. And she was none of those things. And I think as she aged she became less so. She just got feistier and less afraid of what people think. And I think that's why we all loved her. She was a force of nature that everyone loved and respected. Standing up for minorities a philanthropist and animal rights activist. And as she said in that Sandra Bullock clip the beginning of what she says that wasn't in this video is that she has never understood people who don't have deep passion in their life and that she was lucky enough to have lived most of her life doing both things that were her deepest passions entertainment and animals. And she literally did it until her late 90s never lost a step.

My mom was a great fan, they were the same age. Mom passed away at 93, few months shy of turning 94.. ...RIP.

There are literally hundreds of posts popping up of funny moments that were personal and from her career. She was a trailblazer a pioneer she was unafraid in a time where women were supposed to be demere and obedient. And she was none of those things. And I think as she aged she became less so. She just got feistier and less afraid of what people think. And I think that's why we all loved her. She was a force of nature that everyone loved and respected. Standing up for minorities a philanthropist and animal rights activist. And as she said in that Sandra Bullock clip the beginning of what she says that wasn't in this video is that she has never understood people who don't have deep passion in their life and that she was lucky enough to have lived most of her life doing both things that were her deepest passions entertainment and animals. And she literally did it until her late 90s never lost a step.
Simply the best.

Good lord I’ll remember Betty the most from her run with the Golden Girls playing Rose Nylund of which I’m currently having a binge watch on since last night. She was one hell of a lady and lived an incredible life she will be missed and is likely having cheesecake now with her co stars from Golden Girls now RIP Betty
