Very useful video, thanks! I still get latency when operating the "record" button from the Mc6mk2, there is a quite big difference from using the hxstomp or the Mc6 to record. How can I improve this? I have watched pretty much every content available but could not gert better results. I use the looper mode entering my looper bank as you described in the vid. Thanks!

For some reason I can’t bank up and down when I disconnect from the editor. I don’t have the duel lock engaged. I’m stuck in Bank 1. I’m trying to move to Bank 2, which has a whole set list saved on there. It works perfectly when I’m in editor mode and allows me to bank up and down, which is backwards from what I read in the manual. Am I missing something?
Is it possible to change banks on the Morningstar controller without having to press both bank up or bank down buttons on the unit? Meaning, can you program one of the buttons to bank up or bank down the Morningstar itself?
Hi. Yes, you can. You just need to program your desired switches to bank up/down. Alternatively, if you don't want to waste the onboard switches, you can connect external aux switches to bank up/down. We explain it in this video here: ruclips.net/video/IYEjrzsaSbc/видео.html
Strymon has designed it in such a way that you need to send a CC message to engage the effect as well. You will find it in the MIDI dictionary. Just add it after your PC message.
Why don't I see "Apply to selected switches only" when I select ENGAGE in Looper Mode while in Bank Edit? I'm running firmware 3.8.7 on an MC8 controller.
Hi! Sorry we forgot to mention that’s currently available only on the beta MC8 firmware but it’ll be available for all MC controllers in the future official v3.9 release too.
Hi! They are Rockboard Flat MIDI Cables. You can check them out here: www.thomann.de/gb/rockboard_flat_midi_cable_30cm_black.htm They come in different lengths too!
Hi! That’s currently only available on the beta firmware but it’ll be in the future official release too. “Once only” means that the MIDI messages will only be sent the first time you enter/exit a particular bank. Subsequent entering/exiting of that bank will not send the messages again. It works per power on of your controller.
Bank presets for turning looper mode on and off are pure genius!
midi messages when loading a bank is a very useful feature. Thank you very much !
These video’s are great!! Please keep them coming!!

Does the morningstar have its own looper or is it using the HX stomps in this video? Great video nonetheless :D
Hi. Our MIDI controllers do not process audio. If you see them controlling looping functions, they are controlling another looping device.

We've received and replied to your email. It sounds like you may have unintentionally enabled some settings.

Hi! I'm using this feature currently on my MC8 but it's only working when I bank up or down and not when I bank jump
Hi. It does work. You need to make sure that 'Ignore Bank Preset' is disabled. What firmware are you on?
@@MorningstarEngineering 3.10 - but yes, that does seem to fix it. Thanks!
How do I get my Morningstar to turn my timeline on instead of just loading the preset?
Strymon has designed it in such a way that you need to send a CC message to engage the effect as well. You will find it in the MIDI dictionary. Just add it after your PC message.
@@MorningstarEngineering thanks for this info! Working great now!

Thanks for letting me know, @@MorningstarEngineering. That feature will be super useful.
I wanted to ask the same question ;D Great Feature !!!!
when you will make demos using the Eventide H9??
Great timing. Coming soon!
What type of midi cables are those?

I really enjoy your. video's, my only complaint is you talk and explain a bit too fast...Love Morningstar
Thanks for the video. How does the "only once" option work?
