Oops, I ended up buying one after watching your video. Thanks for the recommendation. I should finally be able to fulfill my life-long dream of "improvising" with loops / samples while playing guitar at the same time.

Hey, nice to see you here…I have been watching many of your videos :) I am glad I was able to give something back and help you on your search!

This is really cool. My Nord Drum 3P hi-hat controller device is not so versatile, but it's cheap. This MIDI controller is a monster. Thank you for the suggestion.

Another awesome video, SW! I just got an MC6 Pro and I'm trying out your Octatrack record/playback workflow. However I'm a bit stumped with the OT MIDI commands. I've got the "active track up/down" commands to switch tracks, as well as the "INAB rec" and "INCD rec" commands to initiate recording. But the command I can't find is what happens when you let go of the button and the track starts playing. Seems like that would be something like "trigger active track", but I can't find a command like that in the Octatrack manual. I see the individual commands for triggering specific tracks (notes 36-43), but not an ‘active track’ option. Do you recall how you set this up? Thanks again for your great vids!

      C6 note. 😉

I think here I just made it as simple as possible and used PLAYS FREE tracks (unquantized) and triggered the SAMPLE using notes C6.

I'm doubting about Plays Free, because it uses a specific note per track. No midi message to trigger active track Plays Free. Notes 60-63, or REC ARM...

@@wiliwowmusic1625 Yeah, nevermind the plays free…just triggered the samples on the tracks probably. Was thinking of another example involving plays free!
