No mention of the post tension guides through which the thread passes after it goes around the tension knobs. Do they also go as loose as possible? Thanks.
i have a Baby Lock Venture and I can't get the side to look like yours and I have tried. I have a very skinny line on both sides. Which direction should I turn to get wider sides?

Thank you! I’m going to check my lines right now. I have one needle that always gives me grief. Hopefully this will fix the problem.

Thank you. Short, sweet, to the point. My issue has been resolved!!
What fabric do you hoop for this tension test?
It’s best to test with the fabric and stabilizer you’ll be using for the project. :)
Great info I have two machines a bmp6 and a bmp8 do they both take 2 gray lines?
Thanks for your question. The BMP6 and BMP8 work best when the tension is adjusted with two grey lines above the white tension base.
@babylocksewing if we see three gray lines on the bmp 8 does that mean it is too loose or too tight?

Dorothy, you would start out with those as loose as possible as well. You would only adjust the pre-tension above the unit if needed.
