I hope you enjoy this hunt with me. I was super happy to find out that two of the $20 star notes I found are pretty rare, or at least more rare than not, according to the research i did on them. A few notes: I grabbed the wrong note first in the wrap up... The serial ending in 25111 is the less rare note and the first one I grabbed ending in serial number 63959 is the more rare and is a 2013. Sorry the mistake but they are still the 2 rare star notes regardless. The print runs and rarity info is right I just had the bills wrong. Thanks for watching! I just found you vids today. Coin and bill collecting has always fascinated me. I wasn't sure where to start. Thank you for your vids. They're very well explained!
Save your money. Stop spending at convenience stores, buying fast food and eating out. Set up a plan to save so much every paycheck. You’ll get there faster than you think. I’ve set up a budget and got to $3k fast so $20k isn’t that far off.
Aren't star notes just reissued serial numbers because the original bill with that serial number was either misprinted or destroyed/damaged? I see them all the time.
You are right. Serial numbers connote be reused so they reprint the bill changing the last digit to a star. Star notes are not rare at all, but condition and print runs could potentially make it more valuable.
that's some major cash. wow. awesome exciting hunt. nice finds. good luck on selling those starts notes that was a pretty rare one. all star notes get at least 10 bucks extra. well that's what eBay did for all mine
I'm a coin and fancy currency collector I've been doing the banks checking for anything collectible also do coin roll hunting found alot of amazing error coins and uncerculated coins and currency🐸
I'm a waiter at a restaurant. I serve people food and beverages. I also do other stuff on the side when I'm not at work, like hanging out with friends, riding bikes, exercising, etc.
So I am sort of a bill/coin collector just for the novelty of it. I don't expect to find a rare USA note or coin. I have currency from all over the world. Including obsolete ones. I have a pristine Mexico coin from 1901. I have a nap of the USA with all 50 coins on their respective state. I have about 350 bills of various domination, went through them and found 3 stars. On one of $100 bills, 1996 series. Does not look quite right. The borders are all uneven on all 4 sides, the black is very dark and quite bold. It has the stripe, the watermark, and the 100 on the bottom right is solid. Do I have something? Serial numbers are AB 43258432 K. Its nice ans crisp and has that texture of a real bill.
Love video Robbo was until just recently that I kind of started checking my paper currency four star note saying unique serial numbers so it was cool to learn some of the other things that I didn't know about during this video thanks a lot keep up the good work Happy Hunting
Hi Rob. Enjoyed your video. I have a $50 (1974) star note and it has a few tiny holes in it. But the last three digits are 666. Wondering if you have any idea what it would be worth. The star note look up only goes back to 1981.
Sorry to burst your bubble Rob but you got the two rare star notes mixed up. The one with the mark (MB00063959*) is the more rare star note with the 320,000 print run. The other star note (MG00025111*) is the one that is a part of the 640,000 print run.
I find alot of 100s 20s 10s and 5 dollar star notes I just dont have the cash to have them held up I mean I do some 5s but beyond that I cant really hold big denominations if I could it would be sweet but my collection is all low value coins and bills

I have a $20 bill from the early 80’s that was part of a recall. The ink was bad and flakes off when folded. My bill is uncirculated perfect. I tested the bills on either side of it in the serial number range, and the ink flaked off both. The bank teller told me that they were being recalled, so I asked to keep one. Been in a plastic holder since then.
I just scanned thru looking at what star notes you find but I gave to research how you figure the code rotation on each bill to have value without throwing it back into circulation by natural means.
Before I watch the video, that's a lot of money... I'll edit this comment to congratulate you on your finds... EDIT: Those are some cool finds Rob you got a lot of star notes I like it when you make currency searches like this :).
A few years ago, I had a week straight where I got star note $20’s from ATM’s every day. I also got 2/3 star note 100’s as random change from the bank that week. Brand new bills too. I had no idea they could have special value other than their face value or I would have kept them. I always look at all my bills just to see if I got one and I am still yet to find a $10.
At 9:00 you showed the wrong bill. It was the bottom bill that had the 64000 print run. You can see the serial number on the website does not match the bill.
Hey Rob can you do a currency search with 50k - all $1 bills. Thanks and plus cut down on the coin searches for the tend to get boring but bills searches are more interesting. Thanks mates.l
I watched your vid, and looked through my cash. I found a $100 bill, series 2013, serial # MB00001101C. Near as I can figure it was printed at Fort Worth in March 2017. Upper left has # FW A 83, upper right has # A1. Back lower right has # 33. Good condition for circulated.
You explained about the broken ladder missing the 1 number. So that helps me understand. Is it still a broken ladder if it has all of the numbers, but not in a row? Or is that called something else?
depends on year and condition, but probably 25-30 on eBay Examples: www.ebay.com/itm/20-US-2013-Star-Note-A-1-FED-Boston-MA-Very-High-Grade-Take-a-look/233263380834?hash=item364f94b962:g:EIwAAOSwcBJdC0ho www.ebay.com/itm/20-STAR-FR-NOTE-SERIES-2009-LOW-SERIAL-JK-00380882-ONLY-640K-PRINTED/143295053602?hash=item215d0cff22:g:ywQAAOSwjgZdBANF www.ebay.com/itm/2009-20-Twenty-Dollar-Star-Note-Low-Serial-Number-Circulated/303209017456?hash=item4698aa7070:g:APsAAOSw4DJdETlr www.ebay.com/itm/2013-20-FEDERAL-RESERVE-STAR-NOTE-San-Francisco-Circulated-NO-RESERVE/273907151001?hash=item3fc6237099:g:oTYAAOSwZexc-vm3 www.ebay.com/itm/2013-Star-Note-20-USD/333243520244?hash=item4d96dc94f4:g:4LgAAOSwQRVc6954 www.ebay.com/itm/2006-20-STAR-NOTE-LOW-SERIAL-RARE-640K-RUN-IG00007086/264347172495?hash=item3d8c51be8f:g:11YAAOSw~Bxc9ESp Yours is quite a low serial so you might be able to get more if it's in uncirculated condition 5 0's: www.ebay.com/itm/2004-20-STAR-NOTE-LOW-SERIAL-RARE-RUN-GB-00000776/333230397675?hash=item4d961458eb:g:hzAAAOSwuQBc~~rv

Hello, I have some tickets with a star, where can I check if they have any value and where could they be certified? Thanks, I like the information you give.
Do you have a video giving the ballpark premiums for star notes that are in different rarities such as 640,000 or 320,000 runs? I have tons of star notes but no idea on their worth.
hey Rob.. I was at our credit union to get a 100 $1's to spend in the states. I found 2 back to back 1935 bills. one had an e after the 5 and the other had a g after the 5.. They are well used but what's the odd's of pulling 1935's out of bundles of $1's in Canada
Okay I recently found your channel and I really haven’t been interested too much in money. Now by that I mean like you are, I’ve always looked at my bills and my coins my whole life and always found it interesting how many images there are on currency. Patina on pennies and just how many times it’s been used based on the wear. It always has interested me and I really want more info since you know so much. Do you have a like beginners guide video or series? or do you have info on what books, websites I should use to absorb great info on different types of currencies and what things mean.
Rod , just found your channel is pretty cool I’m also starting to collect rare dollar bills , I have a question for you dealing with so much cash going to the bank and taking out so much and then putting them back in wouldn’t that raise some type of suspicion with like the IRS or when you do your Incometax, because I have thought about searching for rare bills like that but I feel like they going to think I’m doing something ilegal???? What’s your opinion? Thanks and keep up the hunt
I'd never take out more than 10k, not sure the exact amount but if you deposit more than 9k or so the bank has to report you to the irs and it could cause stupid issues.
If just had a nickle for the amount of times I've looked at a bills' serial number and thought "wow, that's a cool number"...and actually saved it . . .
I looked up the last star note it is not as rare as you say .. $20 2013 MG00025111* is mid range and is part of 640,000 Sheets run. Matter of fact, the first start note you kept is more rare.
I found a $20 star note with the same run size(320,000) and basically the same condition and really high in the rarity scale. Mind telling me if you sold that and what you sold it for so I know what to ask for?
At 09:38 I read the serial number as MG00025111 but when he shows the star note rarity at 09:55 it's MB, I put this same number in the star note lookup and it shows a print run of 640,000 with the rarity arrow in the middle. Not a big deal, wasn't sure if I missed something.
WOW, I can't get more than two grand in cash at my bank without a special order. Also asked if I could buy 50 cent pieces that come in instead of them sending them out, they had no idea and thought I was nuts.
You do excellent videos. You cut to the chase and just show what you found. Other videos people post waste your time searching through hundreds and hundreds of bills which is kind of boring. I have 10 brand new crisp uncirculated consecutive serial $20 star notes. Are they worth much as a whole group?
We can't get the values bc they don't have a specific value.. it's kind of like a used car - the car doesn't have an exact value - it's only worth what someone will pay at auction, or what the buyer & seller agree on in a private sale. The same bill might be worth just face value to some people, but could be worth 10x face value to other people. You just never know until you try to actually sell the item and see the demand
None of these channels tell us, How to find out the Value when we do come across a star note or Binary, Radar, etc. Where do we go to look up How many was made. Can you Please answer my Question?
For a second there at the beginning of the video, I thought you stole my computers keyboard, you literally have the same exact keyboard as me. Anyways, another great video!
Unfortunately the bill ending in 959* has graffiti in the field on the face of the note which lowers any price even if the run was low. It appears as inked number 60. In it's current condition it is worth about $25. The second note ending in it's current condition is worth about $30. So the idea of a large premium for both of these notes is not that exciting. Just saying!
I'm kinda an avid coin collector and just collect coins that I find interesting and have silver and what not. But is there any good videos of you that have tips of what you should look for in dollar bills and as well if you are doing your first box of pennies, nickles, dimes, quarters, etc etc. So I can personally learn that advice and pay closer attention with money and you just don't realize on some that bill is worth over 50 grand and you just bought a sandwich for it lol.
What do you do with the star notes? What can I do with the ones I have? I have a couple of hundred, twenty, I think tens and fives and for sure some one dollar star bills. I also have two silver certificates.
stay tuned , next video will sorting a bag of grass clippings , searching for one that looks like Elvis , just to let you know , it's only a 50lb bag , no Elvis sighting guaranteed
Next is 100k in $1
LOL - that would take a whole weekend!
Think you misspelled that rob think you meant all week lol😂😂
what about.......... a million in pennies
@@regnij01 I would get more money if I melted the metal than the pennies
RobFindsTreasure how about $100k in any bills
I hope you enjoy this hunt with me. I was super happy to find out that two of the $20 star notes I found are pretty rare, or at least more rare than not, according to the research i did on them.

You should currency hunt some $5s and some $10s. Ask the tellers if they have any old $5,$10,$20,$50 and $100 (1995 and before/smallheads.)
Thanks Rob for another great video.
I learn something new with every video of yours I watch .

Cool finds! I like you mixing in some of the currency hunts every once in a while. It is exciting to see what comes out.
Great video Rob! Recently discovered your channel and I'm flying through your videos. Thanks for the great content. Love the bill searches
Hi Rob. Enjoyed your video. I have a $50 (1974) star note and it has a few tiny holes in it. But the last three digits are 666. Wondering if you have any idea what it would be worth. The star note look up only goes back to 1981.

I found a note which is a birthday note but its is February 29 but the year is on a Leap Year. Possible how much can this be?
I have a $20 bill from the early 80’s that was part of a recall. The ink was bad and flakes off when folded. My bill is uncirculated perfect. I tested the bills on either side of it in the serial number range, and the ink flaked off both. The bank teller told me that they were being recalled, so I asked to keep one. Been in a plastic holder since then.
I just scanned thru looking at what star notes you find but I gave to research how you figure the code rotation on each bill to have value without throwing it back into circulation by natural means.
Hey, Rob❗️
Fun to watch some older videos 😎👍
Hey, thanks brother. Old ones need some love too!
Hi thanks for sharing I found a one dollar with a ink stamp by George’s head saying I grow hemp and a small marijuana stamp.
Found my 1st see 2019 Lowell,Philadelphia mint. So cool

GREAT SEARCHING XXK IN CURRENCY $20 DOLLAR BILLS STAR NOTES FOUND !!!
Awesome finds mate! Awesome video!
At 9:00 you showed the wrong bill. It was the bottom bill that had the 64000 print run. You can see the serial number on the website does not match the bill.

You need to find a cashier at a casino. I find tons of star notes and rare coins everyday!!!
Last 2 and first two match: 1.5x - 2.0x premium. Interesting!
probably worth $20.20 - no x premium. if it is a RadaR then it is slightly more
I just checked my wallet and found a 2013 star note apart of a 320,000 print
Of course it’s the star note with the writing on it:)
I got a $20 star note with the numbers 00002202. How rare is that?
$100
depends on year and condition, but probably 25-30 on eBay

I would keep all starnotes.
If I saw someone walking out the bank with 20k cash I would rob them😂

Aww bummer. We don't even get the values?
that 0006 star not is very rare
We can't get the values bc they don't have a specific value.. it's kind of like a used car - the car doesn't have an exact value - it's only worth what someone will pay at auction, or what the buyer & seller agree on in a private sale.
The same bill might be worth just face value to some people, but could be worth 10x face value to other people. You just never know until you try to actually sell the item and see the demand
Hey Rob, how about a 20 dollar bill with a spider on the back.
None of these channels tell us, How to find out the Value when we do come across a star note or Binary, Radar, etc. Where do we go to look up How many was made. Can you Please answer my Question?
There’s a link in the description , click on it and there will be another link there that will tell you the price of your note

For a second there at the beginning of the video, I thought you stole my computers keyboard, you literally have the same exact keyboard as me. Anyways, another great video!
Great finds!!!
Not from me yet - I need to do some of those videos. I know they are out there. I do plan on doing a series like this soon. Sorry!
no biggie at the moment. *I just recently subbed to your channel after I watched your mega silver half dollar hunt 2 boxes* lol.
Thank you for subbing! I definitely need to do some tutorials though. As my channel has grown, it has started to come up now. Thanks for tuning in!
What is the website that he is using to check the rarity of his notes?
666 bill was bad karma. Glad you sent it on it's way. Great Video !!
What do you do with the star notes? What can I do with the ones I have? I have a couple of hundred, twenty, I think tens and fives and for sure some one dollar star bills. I also have two silver certificates.
This is not for beginners, a beginner usually has a budget of 100.00 to maybe 500.00.
I looked up both of those star notes and it’s the one that’s written on that is rare
I know! I flipped the images and forgot which was which!
Wish i knew the value!
I have a series of five pristine consecutive serial numbered 100 dollar bills .... wonder if I should save them.?
Awesome Channel you're doing good out there
Awesome Video!
Thanks for informative video
Is it worth keeping a $20 bill with 6”0”
Lamine seck, what do you mean by 6 "0"? Can you show or write down the all serial number. It is a combination of zero and what numbers?
I have a L55558888N any value?
Holy guacamole...... 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Happy holidays to all.
Hey Rob nice hunt but Question where do you work lmao?
Diggin Dave he did t answer 😂
I want to know if the web note also appears on the $20 bill like on the single notes?
Last Friday evening my ATM was giving brand new star notes. Was that good?
