  • First review and test of the 2024 BMW iX2 on Australian roads including price, interior, handling, value and more.
We test the coupe-style alternative to the popular BMW iX1 electric SUV on Tasmanian roads. This is the AWD version - the 233kW xDrive30 that still slips beneath the luxury car tax threshold.
Rivals to the iX2 include the Tesla Model Y, Mercedes-Benz EQA, Lexus UX300e and, well, other X2s and the iX1...

Wow all those skyscrapers in Tasmania have to keep my eyes peeled for those and those odd looking road quietening walls and such particularly the curved ones and the bright yellow bits as well.

Yup, cheaper here because our dollar is pretty bad! Wonder how they even make a profit…

Looks great. The sun roof even has an electric sun cover , heads up display, LIDAR, instrument cluster and, wait for it .......... an indicator stalk..... .... what a novelty. Makes the in inside of a Telsa look, bland, boring and cheap.

Fugly. And why take away the rotary dial? They develop a system that works perfectly fine and then change it for no good reason. I'm sure there is a reason for it but it isn't to keep consumers happy or to improve the product.
