Based an this qualy result I think both parties are going through their notes. However, it is becoming clearer with every race weekend that Hamilton is past his sell by date. Although Sundays he normally does slightly better on the first lap due to the Mercedes being out of position. No doubt Ferrari could have saved a lit by keeping Sainz.

Ric finally got a quali where things worked. No wild track variations, no slow drivers holding him up, no flags, tyre strategy functioned as expected….. and puts on a great time. It’s almost like he hasn’t had the best luck recently
