One of those movies where it doesn't matter if it is 'objectively good' or not. It's great fun and for the approach the director took, it really works. Sam J. Jones had real likeability, despite not being an experienced actor.

One of my all time favourite roles of Timothy Dalton here as Prince Barin. How he shows that he can play the role as both a ruthless villain and a charismatic hero in the same movie.
@@MAnuscript421 Actually yeah...he was very much the bad guy in The Rocketeer. But I find him to be portrayed as being dark, serious and intimidating even as a hero as you see him as Bond. His portrayal as Bond in both The Living Daylights (1987) and Licence To Kill (1989) didn't sit too well with a lot of classic James Bond fans. I personally thought Timothy was one of the best James Bonds ever and the next best after icons Sean Connery and Roger Moore.
I've seen this movie before like a _really_ long time ago but had absolutely no idea until just now after seeing this clip that the guy in green was played by Timothy Dalton (aka 007). I mean wow, mind blown.
3:17 - I just realised that the motif playing in the background is a subtle version of “The Space Capsule/Love Theme”, so maybe Freddie Mercury shipped these two 😊

I like that Vultan was routing for Flash the whole time.He couldn't stand Barin and wanted Flash to kill him for him Lol.

He's brilliant in it. Everyone loves Vultan, and rightly so, but Dalton's Prince Barin is fucking awesome.
