Using minoxidil for beard growth can result in new terminal beard hairs, you just have to use it for 1.5 to 2 years, to make sure they are terminal and not vellus hairs. Terminal hairs are the strong, pigmented hairs that will not fall off, vellus are weaker, thinner, less pigmented, you start get them after 3-4 months of minoxidil but they will fall off if you stop using then.
