So The Batman. This show was actually my introduction to Batman characters back in the day. I loved it as a kid and for a long time I actually believed things like Joker and Penguin being kung fu masters, Mr. Freeze being a thug with ice powers, Bane being Red Hulk, and um... Two Face and Scarecrow not existing etc. After I finally was exposed to other Batman media, I wasn’t too pleased with many of this show’s versions of its villains. Now I currently think the show in general is just okay since after all it's mainly aimed towards kids although I still feel that most of its villains are a bit too simplistic. One villain from this show that I did very much enjoy however was the Digitally Advanced Villain Emulator, better known as D.A.V.E. The more I think about this guy, the more I love him. He’s an artificial intelligence programmed by Hugo Strange to be the smartest strongest bastard ever. In addition, he’s got all the personalities and thought patterns of Batman’s rogues and believes himself to be a human being, so he’s also completely insane and acts like the most stereotypical super-villain ever. Put all this together and you get a truly awesome character who was probably the most dangerous villain on the entire show unless you count Dracula. THIS is how you’re supposed to write an insane, emotional robot villain, not what the MCU did with Ultron. In fact, I’d go as far as to say that D.A.V.E. is one of the best robot/AI villains out there simply because of his uniqueness. He’s probably my third favorite after Ultron and the T-1000. In conclusion, D.A.V.E. is a great cartoon original Batman villain and one of the best things to come out of this show.
So I guess this video is my Christmas present to you all since I’m not sure if I can get my Mr. Freeze tribute finished this month. It’s kind of a pity since I still don’t know if my channel will survive COPPA next year or not but there’s not much I can do. If this is my last video of 2019, I guess it’s only fitting to end the year with the ultimate criminal mastermind. But yeah, I’d like to say Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all and thank you for supporting me these last couple of months and let’s hope I can produce many more videos for you guys in 2020.

D.A.V.E deserve to be in more media because he was one of the only villain to come close to reviling batman identity to the world
Agreed, he’s a really awesome villain. Although in case you forgot, Scarecrow actually succeeded in revealing Batman’s identity to the world in the Arkham Knight game.
Goblin Tribute Maker yeah but that was in the Arkham series, what I meant was that he deserves to be in future dc shows
Oh yes, I agree but unfortunately most things about The Batman show seem to have been forgotten so I doubt that it will happen. At least he was great in this show.
I think about dc trying to make brother eye a villain post infinite crisis. Turns out the answer is ditch eye and the evil omac project and just bring back Dave.

This mastermind has a flare for the dramatics, a good villain that needs more media. Hope to see Dave again

Heh, I guess making a D.A.V.E tribute comes with the "tribute maker" contract, as well as making one for the "Terrible Trio". Bad jokes aside, great job. I love this song and it fits D.A.V.E really well! Merry Christmas btw, wishing the best for you and your loved ones!

Yeah - it's kind of a shame they never did anything else with this guy. He had a unique look, a fun personality, proved a formidable threat, and got taken down in possibly the most 'robot' way possible: in a battle, not just of wits, but of LOGIC. Batman really needs to get a good robot/A.I villain who sticks around, because, as this and H.A.R.D.A.C prove, the concept has legs.
Yeah, I think he showed up in one of the tie-in comics of this show but that’s it. I agree that he’s great and super unique compared to other robot villains as well like Ultron and the Terminator villains although I think DAVE’s real problem is that he’s advertised as being Batman’s most dangerous enemy so it would ruin that aspect of him if he was constantly brought back and kept getting defeated over and over again.
@@goblintributemaker2539 I think the key would be to therefore focus on a different aspect of him. His character is really all about self-identity; Batman beats him when he realizes, to his horror, that he is, in fact, just a robot whose mind was really just a patchwork of other people's minds.
So the next logical thing he would be asking himself, assuming he survived Batman's shutting him down, would probably be something like this: 'If I'm not the Joker, or the Penguin, or any of these other villains who I'm made of - then who AM I? Who, when you strip all that stuff away, is D.A.V.E?' You'd have to move him away from simply being a criminal mastermind to being someone obsessed with proving that, like the H.A.R.D.A.C Batman, he is, indeed, a person, not just a program.

Beautiful video! I also knew Batman with this series and I always considered it my origin together with Spectacular Spiderman! D.A.V.E. he is a villain that I appreciated as soon as I saw him, I don't know why with all the videos I made over the years he never crossed my mind; luckily someone did him justice;) great video, we hope to be able to produce in the new year!
Thank you and yes The Batman seems to have introduced many people to the character which I respect it for. It’s no problem that you didn’t make a tribute for D.A.V.E. as he was a villain that was created for this show and only appeared in one single episode, I can understand if he never crossed your mind. In fact the real reason I decided to make a tribute for him is because I noticed that he had many fans here on RUclips. And good luck with your 2020 programs, fingers crossed that COPPA ends up not being of any consequence.

D.A.V.E should've been the Main Antagonist in Batman Arkham Knight but I would really love to see him in the DCU or Matt Reeves's Batman universe.

Good job, yeah I'd take D.A.V.E over MCU Ultron any day as well, actualy most A. I villains are great in their own regard, my favourite probably being Glados and the T-1000, and D (his name is annoying to type). As for what my final video of the year is going to be, I honestly don't know yet. But I can say one thing though, it was a fun time with you're channel, even if it was a bit short. Who knows maybe COPPA won't effect to much of RUclips so we can still upload videos but with charaters from a more restricted show, like Anarky, Zoom or some iterations of the Joker, till then, it was a short time you had on your channel, but I enjoyed every second of it.
Thanks! When I was making this video I actually noticed that D.A.V.E.’s personality was a bit similar to MCU Ultron except that D.A.V.E. is superior to him in literally every way. Yeah AI characters in general are usually pretty great, another one I really like is Aya in Green Lantern TAS. And I’m so glad you enjoyed my channel for the short time it’s been around. I actually have a feeling that COPPA won’t be as bad as we initially thought it was going to be although it’s literally just a feeling so don’t take my word for it.

I'm gonna be honest with you, i haven't watched The Batman, though i actually considered doing so, but after reading your description, I'm not sure, now. I watched some clips of it, and i kinda like KMR's take on Joker, also really enjoyed D.A.V.E as well. Is this show so bad, do you recommend to watch?
I actually would really recommend it as I do think it is a good show, just not really a great one. But it was the thing that introduced me to Batman characters so I will always have a lot of nostalgia for it

I know this is an older comment, but The Batman was made in a post-Batman: The Animated Series world. What I mean by that is that it tried really hard to set itself apart from what came before while still paying tribute to the source material. Now, rather or not that worked is a matter of opinion so I can't say what you would think of it. But it does have some interesting takes and I would personally recommend it, if only to see for yourself what you'd think of it.
