Laotaro grew up in a Catholic home, but he never heard his parents speak about Jesus. At 17, his life was all about parties, dancing and sports.
There was also a growing anger and unhappiness in his heart that caused him to fight with others, but he didn’t know what to do about it or how to change his behavior.
Then one day his mother was invited to a small home group Bible study, and Laotaro went along. He was fascinated by what he heard, and when they invited him to the local Adventist church, he accepted.
The more he studied the Bible, the more peace and joy he felt. His life and his habits began to change. But there was someone who wasn’t happy with Laotaro’s decision. Whenever his father found him studying the Bible, he would burden him with many chores, especially on Sabbath mornings. The list was so long that Laotaro would wake up extra early to be able to finish them all in time for church!
