- We're home for the holidays! Join us in decorating our tree, stay for the cute family moments and look out for our favorite ornaments. Although this year is looking different for just about all of us, I hope you are still able to keep up with some traditions and maybe even make some new ones.
My questions for you are: at this very moment, are you feeling more like Ebenezer Scrooge or Bob Cratchit? How is your holiday season looking different this year and how are you trying to make… eggnogs out of the eggs we’ve been handed? ;)

I feel like Bob Cratchit this year and every year, I love Christmas! The ornament with the picture of young Joe looks so much like Lee!
So fun! We have a tradition where I let each of my boys pick out an ornament each year based on one of their favorite things or characters (Mickey, Captain America, BB8) that year, then I write their name and year on it, they love getting them out each year looking back at them all and then adding a new one! When they were little I picked for them based on their faves :) Love the old "embarrassing" name ;)
My 7 year old Daughter is very concerned that Santa will not be able to get in and out of the chimney very easily with that gate there. Then she gasped and said how is he gonna get to his cookies.... So at her request I’m messaging you to remind you to keep your gate door open on Christmas eve night.
Watching your videos always makes my heart feel sooo full. Always cheers me up especially when im not having a great day.
Your family is absolutely precious! I always thought that Lee looked just like you, Ashley, but after seeing that ornament of Joe...wow! It’s so bizarre how kids can look so much like both parents! I have a couple of those 😆 Have you seen the felt Christmas trees or Christmas sceneries that kids can decorate? I made one for my daughter a few years back and she loved it! Great video! It was so fun to be a fly on the wall and be part of this family memory in the making. Decorating our tree this year was so much more fun, having our 3 year old actually have the dexterity to place ornaments (all on the same few branches, haha) for the first time. As for your question, 2020 included so much loss and I am so heartbroken to not be able to travel to see my siblings, nieces, and nephews whom I haven't seen in months, nor have our usual gathering here with my husband's family. But we'll do our Zoom chats, gift drop offs, cookie exchanges, and, God help me, I'll be cooking turkey dinner for our family of 3. I'll simplify, but boy, will there be a lot of meat leftover! ♥️
Whoops!! Posted too soon...you have an Electric Mayhem Bus ornament?! Wha wha whaaaaaaaat?!?! And a Country Bear Jamboree ornament?! So awesome!!
And as for me this season...I am feeling very Bob Cratchet. Even though some things are missing like strolls, Christmas parties, etc. It makes me appreciate time in my cozy decorated home. It’s causing it to be less busy and more relaxed. We’ve had many Christmas movies by the tree.
One way we are making eggnog out of eggs is we are setting up an outdoor tent at my brothers house, with the fire pit in the middle and we are decorating the tent with Christmas lights and a fake tree so the family can at least be together for Christmas (masks, social distancing and no food). But it will be a memory!!

Love watching your family. I’m trying not to to feel like Scrooge but it’s hard some days. My son in law recently was diagnosed with a reoccurrence of brain cancer so it’s really hard to enjoy Christmas this year

It’s definitely felt like a different holiday season this year. In some ways I am excited for a quiet holiday at home and in other ways I am sad to be missing out on some of my favorite traditions. That’s 2020 though- a constant mix of emotions!

Love watching this! Back when Lee was coming, I sent you guys an ornament of Donald driving a train as a "congrats and thank you for your videos" gift. I actually forgot all about it until you recently said how much he enjoyed the trains at epcot. I hope it made its way to you! Merry Christmas!

We've been quarantining so we can spend Christmas in NH with our family. So happy we have snow this year because we missed it living in the south for the past 6 years. Christmas is special because our son was born 2 weeks before Christmas and he just turned 12!!! Merry Christmas to your family!
Despite some of the stresses that are coming as Christmas draws closer, I feel extremely cheerful, loved, and grateful. In doing all the holiday activities like shopping, wrapping, and preparing, I am aware of how blessed I am to have what I have. It might be worrisome at times to think about the pandemic or virus, but I have put much focus on others and giving at this time of year; It has been refreshing. I look forward to spending the holiday season with family, especially those I do not see often, and for that I am grateful.
Lol my favorite part is Dennis running over and slamming the gate shut. I like your decorations.
You guys are such good parents. Between you and many of the other parents I’ve seen in my personal life I have a lot of good people to look up to whenever I have my own family. Merry Christmas guys!
