Yessirr! Kingies!
Super excited for next weeks vid!
I can't wait!
Really appreciate the effort put into these videos. Love the content Shroom!
Thank you Elias, makes it worth the effort!
Always a treat when you drop a vid.
Thanks Mario, good adventure and next week is gonna be a lit!
dude your videos manifested a feeling for fishing, i went out with my 10 year old daughter to curl curl nsw on the rocks with our spikes on. i had got snagged on the reef 2 times lost 2 lures, then we caught our first Australian salmon (42 cm). the feeling was great i was more excited than my daughter i think we were both cheering so loud others were smiling and watching over us! thank you shroom!
That is awesome! That's what it's all about and I bet those memories will last a lifetime!
Great video shroom looks like a beautiful lure. I always struggle with casting light lures even with 4lb braid so always interesting to seeing you catch em in close.
Thanks Salty bones, it's not easy casting light lures sometimes but the light stuff gets the bite more often than not!
I love these baits!!!! The only way to go is to get the Tackle Tactics jigheads for the best presentation
I really love the 32oz Shad headZ!!! Took me a day or two to get used to setting the jigheads in the baits just right. Great video Shrooms!!!
great video shroom, never seen a bass get pulled out of an estuary, well done and im exited for the kingfish video next week
I come across them uncommonly in the salt. Various times of the year I know when to expect one. This one definitely was due to the constant rains. Me too!
Mate crazy as we all try to do the best at our hobbies or sport but there always people who just are bitter with life can not work them out top stuff love ya work.
Good stuff! Those lures performed well.
Given the situation, I'd say so!
Hi Shroom- another great video. I was the guy who bumped into you with my kids at DFO last week. Made my kids' day and they can't stop talking about how they met you in person. Love your work.
Hey Dominic, that's awesome! It was my pleasure and the high light of my day!
As usual. Good local fishing 🎣 hope your channel booms 💥
Thanks Panda pants! Georges after rain is a tough proposition, even the bass don't mind the salt after a deluge 😂👍
The old Bass woke you up ...nice vid mate, some good fish. Might try those little shads myself.
It sure did Tim, about a metre from the bank that snag was and it caught me unawares at the last moment!
Great vlog, Shroom 👍🏼. Love the ZMAN shad fryz…. There is so much fresh in all the water systems, no wonder you caught a little Bass 👍🏼. I think you should keep to move off, mate.
Thanks Wayne, it had been constant significant rain every 2 days for what seemed like weeks. It's still gushing over the weir last I heard a few days ago. No doubt the bass felt the salt was pretty similar to the fresh 😂
Excellent work shroom💪 today I went out at 6.30 caught a Redfin on a plastic and carp on bread
Nice work! Good fun and a good morning!
i’m pumped for the kingy vid next week😝, it’s funny i noticed we fish the same middle harbour spot 😂
Yep, lets go!!! Oh nice, I love middle harbour, I need to go back
G'day Shroom, kudos to the state of our water systems in and around Sydney, great to see you catching different species in all sorts of weather mate. I think the fish actually prefer you without the MO lol. Happy Australia Day 🐟
Thanks Gary, I'm almost on the move and you see and do so much! Happy Australia Day!
Finger mark here love them 600mm plus jig head tale weight off leave lock on or take weight off cut hook of on 90 ie to eye let run Dacron through to a number 6 stainless hook watch what happens sink rate for mangroves or skipping is perfect.
Despite the tough start, you got there in the end, and rewarded with a freshwater bass!
Perhaps its due to the rain we've been having....
You're right, it felt just at home in the 'salt' 😂😂
It was really cool meeting you that day thank you
Awesome Zac!!
nice job Shroom
Thank you John!
Nice Bass Shroom, would be cool to see a challenge vid on the George's, same as the Parra River vid.
See how many species you can catch from the salt to the fresh on the George's River, one or two sessions. As always entertaining Shroom great vid mate.
I'll keep that one in the bag Shane and see what I can do!
Do you do guided tours in Sydney? Would love to learn soft plastics and lure fishing more in depth.
No I don't unfortunately, at least not in the sense of tours of that nature
I tried the shad frys about 4 months ago and caught a bream on it really quickly
Nice one, that's a good way to open the account
Shroom may not be pregnant but he always delivers 🥶
ahahaha
Great video bro❤
Thanks Travlav!
@@ShroomFishing im heading to sydney soon any great area to start im ill be using light to medium gear
Nice catch! I’ll try that soft plastic. That’s an estuary perch. They live in both salt and fresh water. Mostly brackish where salt becomes fresh.
Sorry bro that's a bass.
@@frankbotic9953judging from the slight dip in it head in my opinion it’s an EP especially since it’s in more salinity. I could be wrong due to camera but they’re basically the same species. Ep’s also have bigger eyes. Regardless unexpected catch is the best result. I caught a blackfish on lures at mid day spinning for trout and Redfin. Very exciting
Thanks Zoltan, regardless of either one, always a nice catch. They fight well and take big and small lures
Shroom ur the best keep it up by the way ur moustache is nice
Thanks Zenzy!
Another nice and early one mate ! 👏👏👏 I'm on it now . ✔🎣
Thank you David, had to get this one out early so I could work on the next video!
Beard looking mint
I'll have to bring it back sometimes haha
Love this! Can you try the hawkesbury river and places like cowan creek?
Along the rail line North of the station right around to the electric sub station..nice train trip...oh drive.
Yes, I definitely to research it as it's a trek for me. I'll be driving but it looked like the path was high up off the water. I'll have to look again.
@@ShroomFishing Thank you!!! It has been my favourite place to fish for a long time🙂
@@ShroomFishing could you please try cowan creek branching from the hawkesbury? its a fantastic spot and you can get in through bobbin head park and driving in more into apple tree bay, which has some quality flatties and some bread and butter and whiting as well!
Do you factor in the weight of the soft plastic itself aswell as the jighead? I started doing that and it helped alot for finnesse fishing
Yes, you gotta see how the plastic sinks and decide from there if more or less weight needed.
another shroom W
Yessss Lesgooo!
That must be very far up river mate . Very low salt content , I reckon . Flattys and bream also like the brackish water . Ive seen bream caught in the fresh at Parra , when the tide is higher than the fresh level at the weir mate . Keep them clips coming . ✔👍🎣
Yep, far up David and the rain certainly had a lot to do with it. 👍
what was that first fish you caught?
Caught my first fish on a lure yesterday. At first u watched all your videos and spent a lot of money and rods and lured and.hademt caught 1 fish besides yesterdauy😊
Yesss good stuff Zac, congratulations!!
@@ShroomFishing Thanks you shroom u will always be my GOAT
If you want I lighter hook use a size 2 finewire - the hook on it is the same size as the 4h you are using ( different brand hook )
I reckon the lighter gauge hooks would suit it better Ian, but I didn't have any on me and Tackle Tactics sent me all heavy guage but I still made it work!
@@ShroomFishing
I didn’t know about it until I watched their latest video - all the heads with the H designation are mustad and the finewire are gamakatsu- you would think there would be a standard for the hook size but no they can designate what ever they want . I wonder if this is the same for worm hooks ?
Already liked because i know its going to be a bangin" watch. Better be a mandatory sniff in this one.😂
Nice one sniklfridz! Sure is! 😎👍
Hey shroom I’m looking to buy some new braid and was wondering what braid you use on that reel
Hey I am using SHimano Kairiki 8 wave in 6lb in green
@@ShroomFishing thanks shroomy boi
cracking video and love the second account lives
Thank you Ben! Lets see how long I can keep it up, I don't want to burn out but we shall see!
Hi mate, Hope you are well. Hope you have a BIG catch. TOP video as usual mate. If you can’t smell what the ROCK is 🍳Flathead. Watch for trouser snakes 😂
Des thank you , next week some string pullers for some longer arms coming! 😜
@@ShroomFishing😂
Facial fluff 😁, nice addition 😂.
Good fishing dude, as said, you couldvast anything with a hook on it , flick it and nab fish.
Haha thanks Dave, good to see some bass out in the salt for a bit of a surprise
@ShroomFishing yep, bass usually go into brackish water to breed and feed.
Hey shroom are u ever gonna hit the fresh and chase some bass? Would love to see something like that.😁
umm just watched the full video 😂😂 what a coincidence
I think I should do a dedicated fresh water session again at some stage!
@@ShroomFishing yeah you already have the knack for it 😂
Giga Shroom with the moustache❤
Ahaha thank you!
You look like Lyoto Machida with the goatee Shroom.
Hahaha I had to look him up
Sponno'd
What's that rod? Got the fuji skeleton grip
Thanks Colty, not sponno'd but always nice to get a helping hand for stuff that you guys want to see anyway! It's a Daiwa Gekkabijin AGS 1-3lb 6'10"
sick vid, can we get some more kingy content plz.
Yes Thomas, next Thu, set your alarms 😎👍
Any tips on how to jig soft plastic and to get flattys
Yep keep it simple. Double hop and literally you can catch all flatties that way
Thx
Any spots recommend in Sydney near port hacking and Wonnie river
How about floats shroom, what do you think?
Danny, do you mean like float fishing?
@ShroomFishing yeah, can't recall seeing you use them
Nice hat . I bought the same one . 😂😂😂
A very good hat haha
I didn't need to guess, I knew the Flatty king 👑
Would come through with a Flatty as the first fish 🎣
Nice Bass to finish the session, from what I have read, a lot of male bass, just stay in the brackish water 👍
Thanks a lot bushfishncook! It was a nice surprise given that was salt or brackish. I catch the odd bass in upper river sections like that but not common. You can catch salmon and tailor here so definitely salty enough usually
@@ShroomFishing They have to go to the salt water to breed.
@@nobodyhome8148 most female fish will return to the fresh directly after the spawn, males however may or may not travel back to the fresh.
Bass spawn around the salinity line, where fresh meets salt, males will venture into almost complete salt, the yellowbelly perch also do this in south Australia 👍
So generally if you catch Bass in the salt they are males, but not always females will still venture into the salt at times.
@@ShroomFishing they catch bass where they catch Jewfish and Bream on the Hawkesbury River system 👍
Would be awesome to get a Bass one cast and a salmon the next 🎣
@@bushfishncook2128 correct...that is why it's not unusual to find them in brackish or salt water.
The thumbnail is too sharpened..
Second that
@@srj6963 hmm wym bro?
@@JoshuaBruv "second that" means: I agree with what you said.
Aight
I'll fix it, I had to rush out of home to work on the next video but have an upload ready.
Nice flatty shroom! Wouldn't eat it though!
Thanks Marty, I still haven't tasted flathead once in my life yet. If I do, it'll be a catch and cook for you guys!
My favourite fish to eat for sure, but wouldn't eat anything in the Georges@@ShroomFishing
Pls use the new clamer lure
I've made some mussel lures in the past that are on the channel if you haven't seen
Yeah but the calmer lure in very cool and looks like a pipi
Ps looks like we that's all of us have been put on NOTICE. STAY SAFE. HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY TO ALL.
I till have a couple of packets of power baits shades look the same honestly I get the s-h-i-t-s when they stop making a fantastic product and either make it a gulp or discontinue then someone else makes a product that's 98% the same when every fisho worth their weight in salt knows the smallest things matter even just a colour change makes a difference nevermind a small tweet in appearance or action, marginal gains brother marginal gains oh it's Australia must be drinking 😅 happy Australia day all🇭🇲🤙🏻
Yep always the good lures get discontinued! Happy Australia Day!
what rod is that?
It's another expensive high end rod, this time from Daiwa - Gekkabikin AGS 1-3lb 6'10"
bream
I was hoping Neville, I think the rain pushed them out, or maybe it was the bass haha
Hey shroom I am a big fan a live in Australia to we’re abouts do you live we could go fish some time
Thank you Charles, I can't fish with everyone unfortunately. I need to make a sub meet
shrrom what happened I thought you where posting the port hacking vid
That video shall come one day 😎👍
Comment
First
Nice one Christopher!
Ahh sh*tI’m not first
Very competitive usually, people get a comment in even before I get into my own video lol
calling the police...letting fish die again
haha
Been lookin at these for a while Think you sold me 😅
Work em slow. Let them pause.
Nice one Jorre, I think they go alright. The bass didn't seem to mind and that run put a smile on my face! After the shocked face of course haha
🙋♂️
Good to see you here
