- in this 30 September 2022 excursion to a public pond in Calloway County, MO, a performance test of the new 1.75" Z-Man Micro Finesse Shad FryZ (in Bumblebee and Coconut Ice Glow) showed the effectiveness of these tiny lures. Affixed to a 1/15 oz Micro Fincesse ShroomZ jig head, these lures caught lots of bass, bluegill and a nice channel catfish on a warm, sunny afternoon. Available in 10 great colors, Shad FryZ should also perform well in bodies of water with populations of crappie. None were caught in this pond today; the 69 degree water may have been too warm to energize the crappie. I'm definitely going to throw these lures again when the water cools into the 50s.
Enjoy the show! Спорт
I love this entire micro finesse line.
Yes, indeed. These micro finesse lures are phenomenal. Thanks for stopping in and best wishes. Don
What a pleasure to see your videos, truly the best of fishing, greetings, blessings.
Thanks Virgillio. Si glad you enjoyed the show. These new, tiny lures have been a surprise. They are fun to use and can't wait to see how well they perform as we go further into fall. All the best, Don
Hi Don, glad you are getting out and taking us with! Those micro baits look like the ticket for pan fish! Thanks for taking us along with you!
Thanks, Rick, much appreciated. The new Z-man micro finesse family of lures is certainly intriguing. It is looking like several of the new lures have the potential to be favorites for panfishing. The success I'm seeing is very good considering that the fall frenzy has yet to happen and weather conditions and water levels are generally lousy. More to come! Best wishes, Don
@@Winkiedoodles Hey Don, how come I never see these little bastards for sale anywhere? Where did you purchase these?
@Don Paws I don't look for zman in stores anymore. Sometimes Bass Pro has some but I usually order them from zmanfishing.com, tackle warehouse or Amazon.
Nice video! I’ve been using those Shad FryZ for over a month and a absolutely love them! Bumblebee has been my favorite so far in my waters
Thanks for the nice comments BtG. So far the micro TRDs and Shad FryZ have been impressive even though the fall transition isn't here yet. Glad those Shad FryZ have worked well for you, too. Now it is time to see what the Tiny TRDs and StingerZ can do. All the best, Don
Another great video Don! Those SHAD FRYZ look like they will be panfish magnets.
Thanks Tim. So far it looks like this new line of tiny lures is the cats meow for panfish - and other species. Can't wait to see how the Shad FryZ work when the crappie bite picks up this fall. Have a great week, Don
Try pulling Zman’s instead of trying to push it snug to the jig head.
Thanks for stopping by and best wishes.
Nice review... what's the boat you're using? Really nice
Thanks so much Bent Belly. Love your channel name. This float tube is a Cumberland made by Classic Accessories and available on their website, bass pro, Amazon etc. It's an excellent tube and my favorite. Happy Easter, Don
Hello ! What the name and size of that spinning rod and what the name and size of that spinning reel and the name and size of that fishing line you used also in this RUclips video only. I’m praying to god that he touch your heart to reply a comment back to me with all my questions answer by you please. May god bless you and your family and your RUclips page 2023🙏🙏
Timothy, thanks for watching the show. Let me try to answer your questions. The rod is a 7 ft Carrot Stix Wild, light action, fast tip. It is one of my favorite rods. The reel is an off brand, 200 size. I sold the reel, along with a bunch of excess rods and reels, at a garage sale before we moved last Nov. The line I've been using for most set ups is 8 lb Mr Crappie Hi-Vis mono with an 8 lb Berkeley Vanish fluoro leader. Have a blessed week, Don
