Catching Perch With The New Zman Micro Finesse Lures

- In this episode, I head to the canal to test out the new zman micro finesse lures. Anyone who has seen our previous videos will know that I am a bit of a fan when it comes to the zman lures, so I was pretty excited when I took delivery of the new micro finesse range and couldn't wait to get out on the canal to catch some perch.

Great video, will give these baits a try as I’ve been having lots of success with 55mm Spro Hog creatures. Urban Prey I think they’re called. But do like the Zman stuff.
The baitcaster seems to be working well, most of the time! I still can’t get my head around small jig heads having enough momentum on the cast to turn the spool…but it obviously works 😀👍

It has definitely taken a time to get used to it but I'm now starting to get far less backlashes which is good. Main issue is when the lure stops mid cast (like casting into a tree) or hitting a bridge or even a footpath 🤣. I was very surprised that it casts a 2g lure so well, think it has a lot to do with the rod and how it loads up. Going to be getting myself a new rod which is rated at 0.6 to 7g which should help more with the lighter stuff. Not seen the spro hog creatures before but I certainly see why they would work! Might just have to add these to the old birthday list 👍
@@UltralightLads - you can never have enough lures! Been using the Spro in pink, deadly for perch and even had a couple of 7/8lb pike on them. Doesn’t do the hook much good though!
New rod sounds like it’ll do the business, although may bring more trees into range 😬

I use tiny jig head about 0.4g and 1-2cm silicone.

Really enjoying using their stuff at the moment. Now its getting colder I will be switching it up to the larger crawz and trd's to try and seek out those bigger perch. Well you can never have enough lures so I'll be sure to take look 👍
Those zman micros are nice. Love those perch..
I've used the larvaz and the shad fryz with good results on small bass. Bluegill and crappie.
Apologies for the late response. Yes lovely markings on the perch, stunning little fish. I've tried the larvaz a few times but unfortunately not caught on them yet. Do you use them on the ned heads or just a standard hook? I can't seem to get them to sit right on the finesse micro heads.

I'm use to using a 1/32 oz. or a 1/16 oz.
I've got the 1/10oz and 1/15oz which is a size 4 hook 👍
what is the name of the rod you are using?
I was using the Korum Snapper 1-10g rod 👍
Sorry to bother you, new to lure fishing, I've been looking at the Z-man micro lures, do you use the Z-man micro finesse schrooms with them please?
