Yeah, I think most people think that people who own a porsche have more money than they actually do. I live right near a track that's owned by the local german car dealers, and have friends that work there. Most new sports cars under $150k are aspirational purchases by middle age people who have done well for themselves and saved their pennies after paying off their mortgage. They aren't nearly as wealthy as people think.
Right? There were at least 2 mentions of going up to the cabin with the boys that I counted lol. Either that's a rich person thing or a Canadian thing lol.

Scrolling down a bit and haven't seen a mention of him actually giving decent rally co-driver callouts. So, super nerding out over the car and throwing in the rally stuff, he has a unique "range".
My compliments to the camera work in this video! I don't remember ever seeing in-car shots in a RUclips video this good looking. The "spaceship" is also a thing is other European electric cars. The more pedestrian Renault Zoe (sadly not available in North America) you can even hear the sound on the outside of the car, which works pretty well in addressing the problem of EV's being to quiet to be noticed by ear by pedestrians and cyclists.
I'm really not a car person but I have to say that Alex really made this video enjoyable for me. His commentary feels very fluid and it flows well with the video. Would love to see more from him!
I normally don't watch tech channels for car reviews but I'd definitely watch this guy review more. He is so giddy and excited to review the taycan like a 12 year old child, love it.

I love that cars are evolving but why does every tiny thing have to be over-engineered or unnecessarily electronically controlled? Why are door handles and climate controls reinvented in new cars? They are very basic BUT crucial parts of utilising a car and seem with every new E-car to be completely un-user friendly.

There are USB sockets in the back. They are build into the front of the seat itself, not the console.

Why are door handles and climate controls reinvented in new cars? They are very basic BUT crucial parts of utilising a car and seem with every new E-car to be completely un-user friendly.
The door handles are probably for better aerodynamics... The rest is stupid I guess ;)

If the electronics fail (battery for doors and windows), like reports with Telsa S has shown, it can be a nightmare to get back into the car.

Thank you for saying that the touch screen vents are not cool and to go back to using knobs and sliders again, that way you don't have to worry about having cold fingers and the touch not registering or wet hands.

I definitely saw you driving this down 16th ave and rubbernecked a bit. Me n my coworkers were talking about this car a few weeks prior and I was surprised to actually see one on the road. But also that's a dangerous road to gun it on because there is always speed traps
