Your tutorials are so helpful and easy to understand. i am a complete beginner but after watching your video i made a lots of amazing stuffs in blender like the sifi robots and drone, which i thought were not possible to make as a beginner. The way you explain and teach is so helpful. i really hope you make more of the sifi tutorials. i can't pay for courses and i'm so thankful that you make this amazing contents for free on youtube. ☺
Just wanted to say - I really appreciate that you put all those awesome tutorials out there! I am a complete (well, almost) beginner to blender and I would never be able to keep up with all of your videos, but everytime I see one in my sub box I am remembered why I want to learn blender and get motivated. I will try to follow this series to the end ^^
Thank you very much for this tutorial, you are very good at mentioning every little thing you do and how you do it so it is easy to follow along. I have now finished this first part myself :)
Dude, I'm new to blender like started just like a week or 2 weeks ago and now just came by your video by seeing a RUclips video from InspirationTuts and am absolutely satisfied and you definitely deserve more views, likes etc. Keep the good work dude. And thank you so soooo much for educating us like other RUclipsrs for free.
Thanks for this. Just the perfect speed and you explained everything you are doing nicely including which key presses. And more importantly you kept repeating them to help get them into my thick skull. ;) Thank you sir.
Hi, Thank you for this nice tutorial :) I am following it cause every time I quit Blender for more than 3 months, I have to re-learn all the shortcuts I have a little problem, while making the cut through both objects with K and C (47:00) My shortcuts got suddenly inverted (Z took the place of C for Cut through ON) and C took the place of Z for the axis ... I don't know how to get them back to normal....
Hey Ryan, thanks a lot for your tutorials - quick question though! When bevelling towards the end of this video on the entire object, although I followed your knife cut, my object won't bevel - the only way I can get it to bevel is if I change the 'Width Type' from 'Offset' to 'Percent'. Would you know why this would happen at all? It won't show my bevel modifier in any other 'Width Type'. Keep up the good work!
Hey Olie Smith, I had the exact same problem. Nothing on the object would get smooth edges with the bevel modifier, even though I am pretty sure I did everything right, just having a few different details (different size of buttons on the panel f.e.). When I tried your suggestion with the percentage, it suddenly worked everywhere. I am too new to blender to have any idea what's happening. But at least it does work somehow ^^
@@RyanKingArt I am also having the same issue. Changing Width Type to 'percent' or any other choice I still cannot get the bevel to work. I have merged by distance, upto 0.1m also. This is something I have had trouble with on a number of projects and would love to find out what I am doing wrong or need to fix etc
What is the difference between the default cube and a cube you add? Just a habit? great stuff you are coming up with btw. Looks promising and absolutely great!
Its just a joke within the Blender Community that we always delete the default cube. But you totally don't need to. 😂 You can totally use the default cube. Thanks for watching!
any reason as to why my bevel modifier isn't working at around the 48 mark? i've upped the segments and amount and still nothing. and of course i cut through them with the knife tool too. *EDIT* i had overlapping verts. if anyone happens to bump into that problem then go to mesh>clean up> merge by distance.
The bevel modifier doesn't do anything for me. Even after the loopcut :( Edit: If I turn of "Clamp Overlap", my buttons on the control panel look screwd up, so that didn't work. Solution, in case anyone is struggling with the same thing in the future: I used initially a bevel for the control panel, since I wanted to gave mine some "Star-Wars-look". However, I used then the beveled shaped to make the tiny buttons. This cause vertices to be very close to each other and thus the bevel modifier didn't work on my mesh.

Thanks for watching! You might have some overlapping vertices. Try merging any overlapping vertices in edit mode.

how about make a sci fi train? that
would be realy cool!
Thanks for the idea!

Yeah, overlapping vertices can cause that problem.

the bevel modifier didnt work for me even if I cutted the mesh and cut through was indeed on
hmm, try removing any overlapping vertices.
how a to deselct>???
you might need to double tap the A key to de-select.
Thank you! Sir do you have discord?
You're welcome. No, I don't have a Discord server.
Why is not it a red pentagonal tunnel?
Umm idk. I just wanted to make a blue sci-fi tunnel.
