My first vehicle was a '79 Toyota Pickup. put over 200K miles on the R20 engine before i threw a rod in downtown Dallas. Switched it out with a 22R from a Celica with a 5-Speed tranny. Lets just say it would fly. Still have a ticket from Oklahoma showing it was clocked at 96. Would love to find one of those still running. There was very little it couldn't do or go through.

I learned to drive by taking Pastor’s dually Toyota out after dark on the weekends. I borrowed it not stole it so pretty sure my soul is intact. That was 25 years ago now, wonder if he kept it running or in the garage. In Kentucky somewhere probably. He had a hanger full of Random cars and trucks. Stick shift. And it was surprisingly quick or it felt quick for a 16 year old anyway.

I was just thinking that TripAdvisor or your channel should have an alert when I am traveling to let me know where favorite restaurants are. when I travel I forget that I drive right by that place heading between St. Louis and Memphis. Last week I was in Kansas and I tried to go out of my way for a small town restaurant you visited a few months back but I just didn’t have time.

Not really a comment on yours, but if you watch enough Dennis Collins vids he negotiates in private over the phone before he even goes to see it (really only his business anyways) as opposed to Gas Monkeys "Schtick" where they give him a really high price and he offers half, but then they seem to always agree making it look like Richard got such a great deal. I find it ironic that Dennis content just gets better and GMG just gets worse, heck Dennis' guys build a lot more than GMG does nowadays as well.

That was beyond more than enough space to easily get that trailer back there. Sweet find on the 65!

Every seller appears to be happy with the price they received (even though price isn't discussed)... Dennis is gentlemen, his mama brought him up well and proper.

My first car in 1988 was my Dads 1978 2L Toyota Cressida Wagon (purchased new). I let it go with 220,000 miles on the clock. It only failed to start once in all that time. Rust got the better of it after a poor repair in its life when it was involved in an accident.

I loved the “THUNK!” when Dennis closed the Mustang’s door.
I hated watching Dennis twist a knob to select a gear in the Dodge truck. SMH.

Great video Dennis, Alex I reckon you have done more miles than the space shuttle. Like you say, you find these vehicles in the middle of nowhere. Truly outstanding!! 👍

Speaking of mini trucks....my dad almost bought, from the dealer, a 80's chevy s-10 dually rear axle. Factory. Ever see one of those?

Well Mr Collins I have some good news for you. If your interested in an all original 64 1/2 all white 289 convertible. Been stored indoors all it's life. That is still driven every weekend.... let me know if your interested. It's will the original owner. I grew up in rural Maryland my neighbor who also worked with my father bought that car brand new and still has it and drives it. I'm sure for a decent offer he'd let ya take it. He's almost 90 years old now.

Are you sure thats not US Conversion?
I think they were converted by a company in California.
My dad was a Toyota Dealer in 70's and he sold a bunch of 4 door dulie conversion trucks.
