I remember in 1952 our neighbor Albert Barnes bought two allis chambler square bailers. Was shipped knockdown. He has two days to get them off the flatbed railcar in town. All neighbors came to help, then tow them 14 miles to farm. Barnes put up big crlebration meal/square dance waaaay into the night. The two bailers are still working (they have sequential vin #'s) his grandson has one and i have the other. Both are across yhe road from each other (i bought my farm from Albert in 1987 when he decided to sell off west side of highway). NO computers or electronics simple to with/work on.
I happen to be a guy who is now seventy five, lives in alaska and appreciates a farmer. You started farming when corn went in your belly or the livestocks belly... not in the fuel tanks. I worked on heavy equipment, diesel stuff mostly connected with logging or construction. I married a girl from Kansas and she did not like alaska so she moved to N. Carolina to be with mom back in 84.... haven't heard from her since... hope she is okay. I never remarried as dating and wrenching time just don't coincide with each other as they both demand all of your attention/LOL
Years ago I used to follow a farm disposal outfit in Colo. AAAR@J Randy Smith auctioneer. He had a big lug of a hawker keeping tabs on the bidders, he chewed tobacco furiously and would inform " your in" or "your out". The problem was it sounded like "urine" every single time he said it, causing lots of the crowd to crack up. A 10 hour day of this was beyond surreal. This outfit reminded me of those times, roaming auction companies are like the carnival. Good fun, thanks
Mr.Goodpliersparts, the 1955 Ford you purchased, shown at 2:26 and 37:26, is a Fairlane, with exception of the blue rear door. Thank you for posting this video. On a side note, I remember when my Uncle purchased a new one in 1955, and how thrilled I was to ride in a brand new car; I was 15 years old.
I thought there were some real bargains at this sale. The car that I found most interesting, was the Hudson coupe. I haven't seen many in my long life, and that one, was nicely preserved.
The Hudson was my favorite car there. Unfortunately the dash was in bad shape because the windshield was missing for decades. It ran but smoked. Lots of work to rebuild that straight 8.
@@mr.goodpliers6988 That is a pity, because the body looked great for a survivor. The other vehicle I liked, was the Diamond T. When I was a kid in Western Canada in the fifties, I was an army cadet, when we required transport, we rode in Diamond T, FWD, and International, stake trucks.
The second Ford was a 55 Fairlane not a Customline. the right hand rear door was from a 56 Customlone so it had a Customline stamped into the side stipe. I really enjoy these video's, I'm Australian but have a passion for 50s 60s American cars and owned many, getting a few miles up myself now so I only have two.
In many cases a good driver 4 door can be purchased for the same cost as a 2 door carcass that needs everything. The Swedes and Australians actually prefer the 4 doors
Perfect auction. I see a lot of ebay chrome on those old Ford's you picked. Good job turning those bullies for a fast nickel. That suburban looks pretty decent too
It just seemed like everything sold cheaper than usual, perhaps a case of too much stuff or not enough bidders bothered to drive a long way. Probably would have done better with internet bidding. I haven't seen an Edsel in years then saw a 59 in good shape in a field in Ohio last week and now this one. The one in Ohio was in very good shape don't know it's history but it hadn't been in the field too many years. I' probably never finish the projects I have so I enjoy seeing things sell far enough away that I'm not tempted to attend the sale!
Does one of the CB500, have a good front fender you might want to sell? I have a 72 CB500 FOUR that has a bent up one. It's in my videos if you need to see what it looks like.
Sé ta doido as pessoas ai tem muinto dinheiro pra comprar coisas em pedaços faltantes .coisaa que no Brasil seriam jogados no lixo.nao compraria nada quebrado faltando pedaço.
Auctioneer needs to quit boosting everything up and just move the darn auction along. GEEZ Most ridiculous display of "bidder begging" I've ever heard. 🙄
This is how every single auction in person is. They do drive up the price and I bet you overall make an extra 10 to 20% at the end of the day for the seller/ them. It's a business
Another great trip through history! Thanks for what you do Tim!

@@mr.goodpliers6988what did the visible gas pumps sell for?
Love the old gas pumps. If I had a shop and money I’d love to decorate it with a lot of old signs and pumps
Thanks for posting tim, so much history !!!
Thanks for this great video information update one of the best video update Great job ❤
Masterpiece Presentation
Those two Fords you got have some very cool and rare options. Decent prices too. I wish they were Chevys.
No.
Great energy this one..🇺🇸
A lot of good deals on the cars and trucks!
A lot of good deals at this one for sure
The '59 Edsel two door at $900 seemed like a decent buy.
Driver's side quarter panel was pretty battered. That car was a pretty decent survivor otherwise

Always amazed at how many people do NOT know what a 1940 Ford looks like. One of the most iconic front ends in the history of motor vehicles.
I was surprised that so many vehicles started up!
That guy holding the sign has a perfect cheeseburger body😂Looks like he was getting real tired pretty quick 😂
Good prices. That JD720 and D were great deals

That truck sleeper was cool.
very good video Mr. Goodpliers, enjoyed it👍
Good buy on the Suzuki, I had a ts 250 as a teen, wish I would have fixed it again instead of scrapped it. Hope to find another one day.

Neat Cars and Trucks Tim Mate. good buys
Wow just the grill bars on that last ford truck are worth more than it went for.
man tractors must be a hard sale. because that lil lawn onw going for almost 2x of the big one next to it is funny
Lots of cool ol iron!.😎
That ford wagon is dope ❤
Hi tim my picks are the pumps an pole sign an the other gas an oil stuff thanks alot . Cheers mate🇦🇺
Some cool stuff out there. I would have paid a lot for that Texico sign. I need one to complete my collection.
I think it brought $9600. Auctioneer was really good at egging two guys on LOL
the edsel for 900 was a steal the body looked great in the video!
The driver's quarter panel was pretty mangled but it was a nice survivor otherwise
Arrow seed sign might be for Acco seed. I think they had an arrow in their logo. AL B
Awesome buys😊
Great video, thanks for sharing!!!!
Awesome videos thank you for the video
C10 flatbed and Vega. Damn I wish I could have been there
They both were serious rust buckets
Wow, that was Mullet heaven, 😂
Perfect auction. I see a lot of ebay chrome on those old Ford's you picked. Good job turning those bullies for a fast nickel. That suburban looks pretty decent too
Unfortunately the Suburban was rolled over 10 years ago and had been sitting with broken windows since then
@mr.goodpliers6988 , ah, crunchy dry interior
A lot of cool stuff …
Love it mr pliers excellent cheers 🥂 😊
AC road grader is built on a late model WD .AL.
It's a WC. If it wasn't converted to hydraulic it would have likely brought more.
Very nice video.
Very cool!!! 👍👍
I would have loved to own the old Power Product push mower on the trailer.
I actually bought it but my sleep deprived mind forgot to put it in the video LOL.
Maybe it can find its way into a future Short vid
Wow, that Allis grader sold for the price of the plow blade...

Good score Mr goodliers I wanted to go but5hours drive I'll buy ur case deal
The big red Chevy dump running, and shined up sold for about the price a crappy non running truck would sell for in your other videos.
Anyone count how many times the sunglass-wearing , sign-holding , spitting' llama - spits while on camera ??
It would have been interesting to see how much the 1956 Olds sold for. I know it wasn't in good shape.
I believe it was a little over $1000
Yes that was cool Peace out
cool vid
I spot an Allis Chalmers box inside the John Deere box
Man that 55 chevy was cheap , if it was running 😂😂😂
It literally did run like a sewing machine.
Have you ever seen a Plymouth Cranbrook 1953or 54 2 door at auction?
Arrow sign is Deleval
Does one of the CB500, have a good front fender you might want to sell? I have a 72 CB500 FOUR that has a bent up one. It's in my videos if you need to see what it looks like.
The arrow sign looks like Sunoco
Auctioneer didnt know what else to say, but always came up with something else to say 😂
that arrow sign would have said " Tim's hardware 3 miles ahead" , what did the gas pumps and texaco sign bring?
The pumps were in the $4k range.
The auctioneer egged two guys on and the Texaco brought over $9k 😵💫
Arrow sign is a Deleval sign
That selling this item sign needs a stiffer pole
They all are runners…
What did the 40 Mercury go for?
It was around $1500
I sent you the message on gmail about the polara, have you seen it yet?
Very cheap prices....

There is definitely an obesity problem in America!

as a muscle / antique car restorer for 40 years! any 4 door was a waste of money! looks like times have changed!
That step side ford would have brought $3500-$5000 up her in Minnesota. I live in the wrong part of auction country
It was in really rough shape... "good from far, but far from good"
I thought the opening shot was from The Last Picture Show LOL
Guy needs to quit begging people to spend more money. It's an auction, why would you pay more than you have to??
His habit of begging actually slows sale with zero increases. Big time annoying
He is trying to help the seller which is his job. When you have to hold an auction you will understand.
He gets a cut if everything and I am pretty sure that he knows exactly what he is doing
@@jimmy999-z2j Well he has to put food on the table too. You think they should just sell the stuff for free? Zero commission? lol
